thanks guys! in your opinion fs5 is a perfect camera? thx
-
I was looking for FS5 that you recommended to me but then I have found this article that say it's internal codec is really poor. http://www.eoshd.com/2016/01/sony-fs5-codec-problems-and-4k-ripped-edges-bug/ did sony fixed those problems with a firmware update? it was better if I could knew it before bacause then I adviced this camera to some friends who wanted to buy new gear. nothing wrong about that and I had to search some deep review by myself so it's my fault, but may I suggest you to tell also the "biggest cons" when suggest a camera to someone. this would have been a great help for me.

In my opinion video will go up to 16k thanks to virtual reality. maybe a little bit more that 16k for who needs to crop/stabilize. 8k would be good videoprojectors and ultra mega huge TV's.
-
tv will be 4k or 8k? imho 8k is ridicolous for tv.

I have got tearing in crop mode with 7D. but my compact flash isn't fast enough. I will do more test with a friend's CF.

this video say magenta it's gone/non issue. may I ask you if you agree after watching it please?
-
it's the 4,6k. may you tell me more about the magenta cast issue please? isn't something that can be fixed with a firmware update on camera? is it a serious problem? for the same price does exist a better aletranive to ursa 4,6k? thx

how do you use light meter? I mean, what fo you do for first? I mean... do you find the white balance for the light that will light the face of the actors for best skin tones and then you "color" all the other lights using the light meter for artistic/mood reasons? I mean the priority is to set the white balance for the white giving priority to neutral skin tones? thx

a friend of mine say that he wants to buy Ursa mini. I wish to ask you if it suffer from moire, aliasing, and vertical sripes/banding please. I know it does not record raw video for now but he is ok for prores. thx

thx for reply, sorry I doesn't understand why if you crop into 1080 get a 960x540 image? shouldn't get a 1920x1080 image? thx again

I need 1) no line skipping sensor.(I do not care the resolution, just give me one) with contolled rolling shutter. 2) 12 bit diynamic range 3) cinema dng edit. I add the 4) no fixed pattern noise, or vertical stripes in shadows. the first one means no aliasing and moire. essential. I does not need 1) a good mic on camera 2) expensive modular tools 3) marketing that want to convince for 1000 new features every new year I just need that. the first one who make that camera for <1500 euro I will be client.

Hi @Andrew, Does your C-Log maps the colors of the "Canon LOG" other than the gamma curve? thx
-
I'm really sorry for your story, I'm not that expert anyway I'll try, If you earn money for your videos I would sugget you to start renting a good camera + kit lenses and audio, for some works. After that you have tried different models you can buy a new camera for yourself with major awareness. renting you can try new models without spending the whole price. for audio instead of the zoom if you use external xlr, take a look for a tescam, because it can record 2 separate tracks, one of them is a minus tot. decibel for safe backup. zoom can't do it (but you can use a "Y" cable splitter).

it looks bluish to me. could try to use a white paper for white balance before shooting.

is "videocamera x series look" from canon the same as "canon c log"? thx

wouldn't the "vaf filter" fix moire? or in alternative a 5dmIII? hasn't that camera suppose to have a built in anti moire filter?
