very nice. do you shoot in crop mode? I wish to ask you if when you shoot 4k you can see a fluid preview on the LCD screen live view or if it is in black and white with choppy low frame per second view.
-
so if you do it from my link I can have more chance? please do it! XD http://woobox.com/f8ugnj/irw8ut

thx for reply, I know that high "ohm" headphones need more power but I do not understand if other than that they sounds also better and how much better. I mean is it like resolution fo video (I mean higher is better)? for example 32 ohm = 640x480 and 600 ohm = 4K?
-
why some are for example 32 Ohm others 85, others 300 ohm, others again 600 ohm? I mean where is it the difference in practice? for me It is not obvious what the difference between those values.

I'm going deep with my research and I have found those ones: "Audio Technica Pro ATH-M70X". Do you suggest this model? It seems that they have good low frequency response for monitoring.
-
thanks. it could worth it, if you can suggest me some models I can try to save money for it.
-
Thanks for your suggestion I work often over indy budget zero projects and it's impossible to pay for it. To be honest I already did indy project that went to theaters and they sounds good, all I need is more control and clarity over some frequency bacause it's a pain without it. I must often use high pass fiter for frequency I cant hear to be sure I will not have bad surprise.
-
thanks a lot to you all. do you know if there is an headphone model that have a flat frequency response starting from very low frequencies of 20hz? I need it because as sound designer I play very often scuilpting ultra low frequency. I feel "blind" if I cant see those frequency very clear and be sure it will be not too loud when playng in real theaters. I'm often really scared and unsure of what I have done because I have not true control over the monitoring of ultra low bass, it's my true problem.

I can't but true audio monitors so I wish to use headphones. I wish to ask you if you have any clue about which headpones may be a true tool for doing mix/eq for indy films. I need something that is safe to use because I need to be sure that the movie will sound good in theaters after my mix wih the headphones. maybe I should ask in other forums (something more focused into audio stuff than video) but my hope is that someone of you may know the answer anyway. Thanks.

awesome, thx! can I also do the inverse? Edit in premiere, color in davinci, then back to premiere for rendering? For example I may need to render in 4k but the free version of davinci is only 1080p.

I like to shoot and edit video in cinema DNG in Premiere. I wish to export my video in cinema dng to color and grade it in davinci resolve. is it possible? I wish to ask you please how to do it please I didn't find the option in the export menu.

Thanks a lot for your help @Cinegain. unfortunately it's not one of them. All I remember is that the movie was very simply. Scenes inside an appartament, maybe on the road, but without fast actions. I can remember the use of the red light, and maybe blue light. Very intense and vibrant colors from the lights (I suppose they used some colored gel). I can remember a badroom.

Someone somewhere said that there was an indy film shot entirely with 3 yognuo led lights. I wish to see that movie but I don't remember anything (the title, the name of the director). All I remember is that probably someone was talking about that movie here on the forum. So I hope someone who know it can read this message and help me. Another clue is that the movie was shot with magic lantern raw video hack (maybe 5DIII). I remember I saw the trailer and the photography was really beautiful. Thanks!

5K RAW video on the Olympus E-M1 II usable for short clips!
Dan Wake replied to Andrew Reid's topic in Cameras
this is awesome but the clip are too short and my eyes suffers a little bit watching that fast edit. it looks about 2 secs a clip. how many mbp/s is it the bus of the card reader? it looks like it stop because of the saturated bandwith. Is someone finds out a way to decrease resolution the clips could last longer and maybe reach continuous shooting. -
remember if you need to use it on a gimbal is better something with autofocus tracking on the subject. I would get a light mirrorles with that focus feature, 60p, and a 12bit codec (for good color post) if does exist. then a decent gimbal and autofocus compatible lens. this is what I wish today (fogetting about raw). on a gimbal you can't manual focus ad the camera needs to adjust focus continuesly. or buy a wireless follow focus fo a second operator as focus puller. imho today the gimbal is something to consider very seriously before choosing the right camera.
-
if you want raw don't get 5d. is very hard. imho get blackmagic ursa mini 4.6k trust me you cant use 5dmiii raw for pay works. the risk of problems is too hight. then is only 1080p. if you shoot crop for 2k you have slow fps liveview: almost useless. trust me do not get 5d raw if you need to work with it.
-
wait more until you can buy used sony fs5 or try blackmagic if you need t use it on gimbal get one with auto focus tracking. or get a wireless follow focus for focus puller.

may I ask you an advice please? do you think it's a waste of money if I buy the Zhiyun Crane only for my canon 7D mark 1 with a canon 50mm 1,5 lens? thx a lot

I did it in lightroom with a gradual filter (lowered exposure and added warm). then some lut on the main photo. maybe you could try to export in tiff, grade in lightroom and make a new video in after effects.
-
I'm not colorist but for me in the first one photo the narrative subject is the sky. in the second photo is the grass. I wish to see a third version where the man walking is more the subject. maybe starting from the second version you could underexpose only the man. the first one is more dramatic ad give me a sense of "wet", "rotten"... the second is a little bit a peaceful sense of nature. both are cool!

in yours opinion in the next years will come out 4axis gimbals that will replace 3axix as well the 3axis replaced the 2 axis gimbals?

Please take a look at this video... I saw this video and now I'm very confused. I use premiere for editing. Usually I shoot at 23,976 fps so assume the timeline is set to that value. Now if I need to insert a scene/take where there must be a slow motion and I have to choose the desired clip there are difference between a video shot at 48fps/50fps/60fps/120fps or more? I mean if I do not choose the right high fps clp for my 23,976 timeline I will have a choppy video in the slow motion scene? the export setting would be the same as the timeline (23,976). thanks a lot
