  1. Oh shit I didnt see haha :D I am a guessing god it looks like!
  2. 1. Soft image but otherwise clean and good colours... Nikon dslr - d750 or d5500? 2. A lot of yellow but very sharp. Deeper focus so possibly not one of the full frames. Guessing the a6300 or RX10 type thing. 3. Colours look like Samsung to me. Also looks like a sharpened 1080p image. Im guessing the NX1.
  3. It could be the stabilisation causing the bad movement?

Is that crop on top of the 1.5x aps-c crop factor?

    Nikon DL

The lx100 has a 24-75mm equiv with same aperture and bigger sensor though
  6. It scares me how much that video influenced people.
  7. The thing is that a 70-200 f2.8 becomes a 50-142 f2 on a speed booster...
  8. Thats the price without VAT. They might have an automatic price fluctuation system in place that changes depending on stock and demand.
  9. This is sooooo good man I love the bit where he's paranoid that people know that he was wearing a watch that didn't work. I wore a watch like that for half a year and had the same feeling What was the focal length used?
  10. Fuji definitely knows tone and colour Also, resolution comparison here http://***URL removed***/reviews/retro-through-and-through-fujifilm-x-pro2-first-impressions-review/9 Looks pretty good but hope the sharpness can be dialled back, along with the highlights. On my XT-10 you can set "Highlight tone" to -2 to show more detail in bright areas. Unfortunately it only works for stills. If it worked for video, I would actually take a lot more of it.

there is a video comparing the autofocus speed of the a6000 to a6300 and the colour rendition looks the same between them

Is the sensor literally the same one as in the fs5?

Oh boy, that is some of the nicest test footage Ive seen recently

Even though I just know it'll have battery and colour issues, I still have a hardware boner. I wonder how well the phase detect will work with Canon EF lenses
  15. the c100 is good for what you get. Yes the dynamic range is nothing special but it has the best low light ability in the business which makes it really good for documentaries. The reason canons DSLRs are used in some films is because of its small size. It's able to fit in small places. The C300 was used to shoot Blue Is The Warmest Colour which I thought was a really gorgeous looking movie before I even knew much about the camera
  16. I've been following you for a few years kidzrevil. Big fan of your work. I've noticed you've been through a couple different cameras recently. What's up?
  17. Eyes off mate, she's mine Here's the piece if you're interested. (graded before I made this LUT) https://vimeo.com/150736008
  18. I do highly recommend Cartel Land. Yes it was shot on a c300 but there is no lack of story. It follows two vigilante groups; one in the US on the border of Mexico and one in the south of Mexico.
  19. Cineflat'a tonal curve is a lot more natural and the profile also retains more saturation unlike flat 11 which will give you artefacts if you increase saturation in post.
  20. I tried Making of a murderer but couldn't get into it. Yesterday though I watched Cartel Land (also on Netflix), which I believe to have been the best documentary I've ever seen. The filmmaker was able to get deeper than any other before him. And you have to remember the cartels are notorious for murdering journalists, so the feeling of danger to the crew is very real - especially towards the end. The things that they record are very eye opening and emotionally draining. One of the most memorable moments is when theyre suddenly being shot at in their car. The cameraman gets out and ducks down, then whilst still pointing at the streets adjusts his ND filter! And I'm sitting watching, just gobsmacked at the absurdity of the dedication to his craft
  21. Haha. It's probably tortue to tell you this but imo Nikon's flat is a lot nicer than flat 11. But dont worry about it. Also i find cineflat to be better than flat 11.
  22. It is a very simple process. Just make sure to do it under daylight conditions and set the correct whitebalance. It works on CLOG and Wide Dynamic Range (with gamma/curve adjustments). Would be interesting to see how well it goes with the 1DC.
  23. Someone on this forum mentioned a podcast I hadn't heard of called "The Wandering DP" and it happened to recently feature Katelin Arizmendi, who's work I've come to admire in the last few months. On it, she says that she's not a fan of the black pro-mist filters, which I can agree with after having used them not long ago. Instead she uses Ultra Contrast filters. Sometimes strengths 1 and 2 stacked together.
