Want to start your Blog? Amazing Domain Names for sale!!
Nikkor replied to NewFilmMaker's topic in Cameras
8K is the future, buying a 4K domain would be like having an HD reference in your site or something like "eos" or both... -
You can't go beyond that because of cardspeed?
-
Can you record ML raw 1080p without cropping on the eos m? I thought you could only record 720p.
-
Personally I find lack of contrast more fitting for the theme, but here some more testosterone for the deprived. You could give the face some more exposure if you feel like it.
-
Whoa that was so hard, man.
-
I hope they make compact and greaterforming lenses, leica style, not these horrible penis compensation crap you have to buy on the other systems (otherwise what's the point of removing the mirror)
-
How Long was your interval? Maybe you are trying to make exposures longer or close to your interval (not possible on any camera).

Sorry kaylee but Vertical is present and future. I love vertical, Most of my pictures are vertical, they are consumed that way, so when I use Videos as moving pictures, I make them vertical too. And there's also instagram...

Nikon has d-lighting. I believe the new nikons have or will have this in 4K mode. This will give you a lot more DR than any crappy 8bit slog.

A7R2 + canon ts-e 17mm. Badass

I would rather make a compensated zoom into the eyes and fade to space, pretty standard but won't look crappy.

I like the way the iPhone processing handles highdyanmic range scenes without HDR. I wish my Nikon could spit out jpgs/video the way the iPhone does, it actually renders similar to the way your eye sees it, but the small sensor just can't deliver such DR so it looks desaturated and noisy/noise-reduction. The big cameras really need to catch up on the software side, and even the raw processors are falling behind (adobe camera raw, etc)

I was wondering if active D-lighting works in 4K;could give some serious dynamic range.

The usability on the d850 is much better from what I heard. My biggest concern with the d810 is autofocus and the lack of a tiltable screen. I think those two things plus better liveview are worth the extra money.

I just came back from the movie and I entrered the cinema with maxotics notion in mind. If this really were Personal passion project there wouldn't be so much mainstream content in the film, and the philosophic aspects would be a few levels above teenager masturbations. While watching the movie a 70 years old couple answered the phone two times, two fat people in front of me opened three soda cans and a few gigantic snack bags that made horrible sounds, the projector lens had problems because the keystone correction was at max so the upper part of the screen exibited chromatic aberration, etc... Anyway, at least it was in my 27.000 people hometown shit hole and I only paid 5€ to see it, can't ask for more.

My guide to buying a cheap Hasselblad medium format camera
Nikkor replied to Andrew Reid's topic in Cameras
Look at the new voigtlander. 40mm 1.2 for the E mount. The diagram looks like a speed booster behind a medium format lens, the samples look medium format to me, although bokeh at 1.2 looks ugly. http://www.cosina.co.jp/gallery/iida-40-1_2/01.html -
This is not what I would call cinematic...

I will say B, although I like some texture on the A better

My guide to buying a cheap Hasselblad medium format camera
Nikkor replied to Andrew Reid's topic in Cameras
Well Andrew, I'm sorry but you got it totally wrong. Try and do the test. Another thing to keep in mind is aspect ratio, medium format backs tend to be more like 4:3 vs 3:2 on DX and FX -

The DOF behaves differently, but the compression? Maybe lens constructions or some strange quality of optics I don't know about makes distortion different (ever seen how differently perspective is in a simmetric wide compared to a retro focus or zoom lens of the same focal length?) and this makes you feel there is different compression, but perspective is the determinating factor here and that only depends on distance. -
Why are modern TV's defaulted to horrible settings out the box?
Nikkor replied to Oliver Daniel's topic in Cameras
A TV looks much sharper with the truemotion crap enabled compared to a standard 24fps screen. When you are in the shop with your face almost pressed against the tvs the judder like tugela says is very evident, with smooth motion it isn't . -

Since you have the cameras and lenses, why don't you just make a small comparison. Distortion of the different lenses will make it a little bit complicated so try to stick to simple designs. Take the GH5 with a 28mm lens at 2.8 and the hasselblad h3d 39 with the 80mm and f8. Same lens front (lens nodal point would be better) to object distance. Let's say 3 meters headshot with plenty of things going on behind, post the images here and let's see about that compression.
