There are also external recorders. Internal codecs have this tendency to give crappy motion cadence (nikon's codec for example).I believe MJPEG doesn't have this problem. Anyway, if canon made this camera in less bulky mirrorless body I wouldn't hesitate.

51,42x34mm You would be surpirsed how good even a tiny ancient 36x36mm back looks on portraits. My favourite format is 6x7, but 51x34 is good enough to unveil some of the beauty (specially on faces). I don't know the numbers right now but cinema 65mm is smaller than photographic 645, so if you liked the look on the master or 2001 this speedbooster should give the same look. The only problem I see is quality and vignetting (that first element looks too small).

I want to see the quality first.

This might be a single chip DLP projector with a colorwheel. This means that every frame is projected several times with diferent colors. You can easily check this by moving your hand in front of the beam and see with your own eyes if the motion blur is colored (3 or 6 colors, I believe). If the beamer is DLP you can probably up it to 100hz or even more, then select the lowest shutter speed possible (this is just an idea that could work).

Hey bror, I like the idea of a 105 1.4 lens, but let's face it, imho most 35mm lenses faster than 1.8 are sort of pointless because they aren't good enough to resolve fine detail on medium distances, and on close distances anything faster than 1.8 is total overkill. And yes, for wedding photographers the fuzzines/softness of 1.2 35mm lenses can be a plus. My very personal view on the whole fast expensive 35mm lens thing is that for the money you need to buy a good 35mm setup ( 105 1.4 is 2000$ plus another 1500$ for the camera body) I can buy a used mediumformat backand it's going to look way better.

Like cantsin said, a portrait with a 105 f2 is already pretty much overkill, 1.4... If the lens is very good at 1.4 I can see it being used on environmental portraits, but the AF has to be very accurate and fast plus the lens has to be very good.

Nikon has a new nikkor 105 1.4 in the makings, kind of a pointless lens but for the portrait bokeh whores this will be THE lens.

I thought you sold that lens. I still have to get one to replace the 28 1.4 but I don't want to pay more than 100€ (although in sweden you can probably buy it for 10€ at some secret special place that is neither secret nor special)

And what about our personal feelings, I've been talking to several forum members who have developed bad feelings and vicious thinking patterns after their favourite poster turned out to be a fake. It's not an easy thing to loose a father figuer like Ebrahim Sr. There has to be some compensation too for those mental victims of ES, I don't think we are taking this serious enough, reducing this to a mere materialistic problematic is a flight forward. I think those who are suffering from this should come forward and expess their feelings so we can find some sort of closure and comfort.

I can see the endless discussions about spherical vs metalenses, blablabla. People on the forum are buying dogshit lenses for the filmic look, same will happen with the metastuff. Anyway, can't wait to see them in action.

I think what Zak is trying to say is that ES at least tried even if in the end he didn't succeed (or did he?). How many egyptian boys are sitting at home waiting because it's not worthwhile to shoot or even try with a 1100d? ES took initiative to get a decent camera, even if the plan was the crappiest on the planet (or not,worst case scenario he wins 500$).
