Your comparison only shows that speedboosters aren't perfect, but they preserve the larger format quality of dof (the size of the blur doesn't change in size, except for some "field curvature?") Personally I can't wait for a 645 mirrorless, just to order a custom speedbooster (because Biran Cardwell doesn't seem to see the importance of his own invention beside of giving m43 cheap fast lens options) to put pentax67 and hasselblad lenses on it and enjoy the ideal format. (larger formats are too perfect for my taste)

It's up to me if I had the need to prove anything. But you know, the way I see it is that if you can't see the difference, why bother? The mamiya is gigantic, and if you don't get any pleasure out of it, it's just a pain in the ass. The phase one is just a slight crop of 645, 645 isn't that exciting.

I will for shure, I just need some time to develop the rolls that I have building up, but seriously JCS, go onto ebay and buy a mamiya rz67 or something similar, shoot some stuff with it, and come back. It's selfexplanatory.

Yeah but tease me with something sort of interesting, not about my alter ego but about cameras.
-
No, it's not to mess with people, I've been telling people openly and it good faith, large format is the way. But there are some people who feel attacked/threatened by the idea of it. That's totally ridiculous. There even was this guy who made fake tests, with the same camera with the same fucking shot, and saying it was all different sized sensors ergo there is no difference.
-
You don't seem to understand, I found the proof for something that was puzzling me, and I find it hilarious how people can't see the difference and act up all smart, that's the reason I don't share the proof. It's a sadistic way of humor, I know. Enjoy some more snapseed blur.

Hahaha, oh lol.
-
The real proof comes from looking at an image and seeing the difference, I went out and found the math proof just to be shure it wasn't just because medium format lenses are better/different.
-
I'm not giving you the equation :p
-
If you'd take your time with the DOF equations you would find the mathematical proof that what you are saying is full of shit. (if you had eyes you wouldn't need math, but hey...)
-
Whaa??? That can't be true, this has been debunked, you have to fix your eyes.

I believe Hasselblad is swedish. And the thing with the airport in Berlin is that the guy who made the installations wasn't actually an engineer. But I agree, softer service economy turns all people into lumpen.

I don't have first hand experience but I would check every corner and compare. One might be better in one corner and the other way around. Maybe the optics don't sit correctly in the helicoid?
-
I had to watch the whole thing ^^. Anyway, the guy doesn't really communicate, if he just would stand there staring "what are you doing?" ,"just staring", it would have had the same effect. So in the end it's not really about the camera btw, where was this filmed? It was strange nobody had a gun (maybe that one gangbanger near the end had one).

4K RAW 120fps for £3k?! Say hello to the second-hand Canon C500
Nikkor replied to Andrew Reid's topic in Cameras
Does this mean, the camera does not debayer, but instead of linear data per pixel with 14bits, it's converted to 10bits in a log space. So in the end it acts like standard raw, with compressed higher values like you said? -
Canon 5D Mark IV spotted on Red Bull sponsored surf shoot
Nikkor replied to Andrew Reid's topic in Cameras
Why so bitter jokes I know a lot of people who have full throttle lives, who switched to sony because on paper and appearance, it seemed like a much better choice. But once they switched their pictures start looking bad, in every way, and this continues after the adjusting period. I can think of a lot of reasons. Sometimes better isn't better. Years ago I started following people who used the pentax 6x7 and mamiya rz67 because those were the cameras that interested me. The general trend is that these people bought a Hasselblad afterwards, because it's more convenient and the lenses are supposed to be great. Turns out that the quality of the photos went down the drain, but if you ask on geek forums, everybody will tell you hasselblad is the best. -
4K RAW 120fps for £3k?! Say hello to the second-hand Canon C500

Can you fit the cookes on the c500 with an adapter? You keep posting pictures of those cookes, I think you owe us some kind of review-video -
BMPC 4K or GH4 for green screen: what would you do?
Nikkor replied to Jonesy Jones's topic in Cameras
i think you should take the mattias approach, buy a used gh4, test it, resell it if it's not usable. Loose 30$. -
JCS and his fallacies. I would point them out for you, but I don't have time for this crap right now.
-
Although I find there is some truth in what JCS says in that random shots are boring, but I think that story thing with camera ads/tests always turns out to be pretty pathetic and forced.Just have a look at all the official presentation videos from Canon/Nikon...

Andrew you don't get it, he is doing an antropologic study on zerman housewives. The shitty LUT and zerman english (like mine) are a stylistic choice used to emphasize the feeling of emptiness that governs germany following the destruction of german culture by the nazis, russians and allies.

A very good friend of mine needs one, but I'm too busy atm to check out reviews,etc.... so I was wondering if someone here has some experience he could share

If you were to design a Canon 5Dc, what specs would it have?
Nikkor replied to Michael Ma's topic in Cameras
16bit compressed raw 4k sampled from the whole 8k 36mm wide sensor, and a 10bit log mode that looks like a good filmscan thanks to a new pixel technology that has double stacked pixels so the sensor can read +6 stops into highlights giving 18 stops DR
