I want the earlier version, but I don't feel like paying 200€ for it. Nice lens, nice samples.
  2. Another thing is the size of your equipment, personally after shooting with the d800 and a 70-200 for an hour, my neck fucks up completely and I start to have blurry vision, and this is for stills where you can stop all the time, video is far worse. This made me use primes more and more, and it's another reason why I'm moving to a A7, small camera and tiltable screen, this will literally save my neck.
  3. It can be done http://petapixel.com/2010/04/09/canon-5d-mark-ii-completely-disassembled/
  4. So I had this idea, I love raw video, soon there will be the medium format speedbooster, I have tons of medium format glass, this summer I want to film a short. I would love to strip a 5D mkii to it's sensor and place the speedbooster in front of the sensor, I was wondering if anyone knows if the camera will still work with all the crap removed, I seem to remember some people might have done this for PL lenses.
  5. With all that grain and grade you can't really tell. But I will play the game and say it's a canon rebel aps-c with a 35mm f2 lens Looking at your name it could be a gh4, but it certainly lacks detail.

What I dislike about these nikkors (and any fast photo prime) is the field curvature or whatever it is that makes the outside DOF inconsistent. Until you stop down to 2-2.8 the corners and border areas are more in focus than the center areas, making the 1.4 sort of pointless. This doesn't happen on my mamiya RZ67
  7. Custom Settings Bank > f Controls > f9 Customize command dials > Aperture settings > Aperture Ring. Done, maybe the d5300 doesn't have this option, all bigger nikons have it.
  8. The problem with the d7200, I believe, is that the 50 and 60fps mode are a 1.3 crop from the DX mode, I would also recheck if it has the flat profile. The fixed screen is also a bummer. If the d5600 has dlighting and 4K, I will get it 100% (unless there is a similar sony).
  9. Fuji sensors are Sony sensors, if the one they are using is even older than the a6100, well then...
  10. Can't wait to see some proper samples, everything I've seen so far has the typical crushed blacks look, but looking very sharp, this means the a6100 (same sensor probably, different filters on top) will be very sharp too.
  11. Pop Culture for 50 years old people maybe, but in the way fuzzynormal ment it, popculture is on youtube now.
  12. They will activate it once they sold to all their loyal customers, so they won't be scared off by guys who let the camera recording 4K for 2 hours in the desert and say "omg it's overheating, class action suit"
  13. I hope that f65 is not more expensive than one of those alexa cubes.

Imho,in motion, lens resolution is totally secondary, unless it´s very bad.
  15. The d7000 is horrible, don´t buy it. I had one and it has bad inconsistent AF, and bad colors (yes, in raw, don´t ask me why but it´s very bad).
  16. The Rii will be better than the sii in crop mode, even in lowlight.
  17. Another t3i, I mean they go for 100€?
  18. He is actually going to shoot something.
  19. ... You said it yourself, the 1dc is a 1dx that shoots 4k video. The difference is a heatsink the 1dx doesn't have.
  20. What a shame, adding HDMI's and cables makes it uninteresting for pocket use, a very small dongle might be ok.

What lenses do you have on the nikon?
  22. Yeah I totally get you, I cry every time someone makes me see a movie that's not 100% awesome and up to my expectations. It's also been 3 times a friend of mine hasn't made me laugh enough on saturday nights, I won't be wasting anymore time with him. Back to reality, I didn't enjoy the movie, the visual part was nice but I think the camera work was half assed, it didn't really work out imho. Not to talk about the story, which was laughable. Birdman on the otherhand had me tied to the screen for the whole time, best movie I've seen in a long time. There were some aspects of the script (that pseudo intellectual stuff) that sucked, but you don't really care when the movie has a nice rythm and momentum.
