  1. I have been asked about a camera with good results in poor light (concerts, theatre, ballet, etc) for video and stills. The problem is the budget, 800€. I have no clue, a d5500 maybe? He is used to canon... I wonder if any mirrorless has working AF in lowlight.
  2. Dvd's probably won't have a problem, but magnetic or electronic devices have a problem with strong magnetic fields, such as in a case of an über-sunstorm.
  3. But then comes a strong sunstorm and we loose all the dataaaa.
  4. Yep, that's it and yes you can keep using the same lenses. If you want single focus then it might be worth it.
  5. How do you plan on developing film? The videos I have seen look like a huge pain in the ass with giant cilinders and gallons of developer,etc... ($$$). And if scanning a single medium format negative already is a pain in the ass, I can't imagine how you would scan kilometers of film.
  6. The grass is always greener... You have a perfect set, keep it. The nikkor 50 1.2 isn`t that great either, it only really shines on people (close ups). Maybe I have a bad copy... The 85 1.2 has no competition.
  7. Soon enough they will change them with pictures of the prophet, oh wait...
  8. I was writing the explanation, but this article is better http://www.clarkvision.com/articles/iso/ The problem is with the A/D converters, I think sony has ones that are more effective.
  9. That's because canon sensors have problems with readout noise. A perfect sensor without readout noise wouldn't have different iso values, just base iso and adjusting in post (or different base isos if it were possible to change that)
  10. I can't wait, I have them lenses waiting mateeee
  11. Get an external recorder or a loupe. It's totally retarded, I know.
  12. Nah, as you can see everything is grey, that's slog and probably he filled the grays with some orange. Everything was shot handheld in Slog2 - 2 stops over with the 24mm T1.5 Samyang Lens. Have a look.
  13. Lol max, what camera are you shooting with? What you need is a phase one p25. It goes for 2000$ and it's super crazy for skin tones.
  14. The sample video looked nice to me (but they usually do so it doesn't say too much), but the processor might be panasonic so...

Oh ok, my english is so bad I thought "getting ripped off" was an expression used to describe something they do to you, not something you are.
  16. Big sensor, small mount, adapter to bigger mount. The small mount shadows the sensor. It would have to be, big sensor, big mount, adapter to smaller mount. But since the m43 mount already has a very small register distance the solution had to be very creative and very akward.
  17. To me it looks like the studio scene is fucked up because the camera is tilted slightly to the left or right.
  18. Whoa how did you get to the ISS? Is that a new module?
