If by cinematic you mean shallow DOF, then yes, the difference will be quite noticeable.

Well the thread title states Speed Booster and Tarantino Crash zooms. If you look at that video again you will see that most go around 60-250mm (s35)

The 4K video doesnt use the tecnology, it just records from one sensor/lens at the time.

The nice thing is that it's small. This lens is for black and white night film photography, that's where it shines.

The other day I took a camcorder, smashed it into pieces, took the lens, put a digital mount on it, now it suddenly covers fullframe, has autofocus on my nikon and it's super contrasty and sharp (because it has the nikon mount with chip added and I put a sticker on the lens with the letter G and ED). The next day I put wings on my back, nobody wanted to believe me, but I could fly. People are dumb, they think humans can't fly, but the only thing you need are wings and fate. But then they put me on lithium and now the lens won't work and I can't fly anymore. Crazy people.

There are aspherical lenses without that problem. When you pay 4000$ it's kind of wierd but hey, maybe thats reserved for ultra primes.

I wonder if the 55 1.4 also has the aspherical bokeh problem (tree lines)

I have the 135 2 DC and I love it's rendering until some light brings harsh contrast an CA kills it.

The samyang 135 2 seems to be a good option price/quality wise.

Film offers a lot of advantages. For example the motion looks a lot better than on digital cameras, just download the original clip and see how "shitty handheld" can look not disturbing but pleasing.

I don't think you want a 135mm lens that's so sharp in anything motion related, the rest of lenses are sharp enough and have nice color and bokeh.

I don't like the 85mm focal length. Another reason is that there are a lot of 85 1.4 lenses that are good enough, but that 55 1.4 seems pretty special.

If I had to choose one of them it would be the 55 1.4, looks impressive. But for 4000$....

There are so many good cheap 135's out there, I can't think of a reason to spend 2100% on one.
