  1. You only focus the anamaorphic lens once, you set both the taking lens and the anamorphot to infinity and then focus with this adapter.
  2. Black holes at 0:39. But yes that looked nice.
  3. New york videos are way more interesting than this bullshit that makes it even harder for real rape victims to stand up.
  4. The A99II body is way bigger.
  5. You guys are so boring, if it turns out to be for real and affordable it will open up a world of new looks. Just have a look at old photographs or read through this https://www.theasc.com/ac_magazine/November2012/TheMaster/page1.php
  6. Cant wait to see the results, the price is insane for two diopters and a small helicoid.
  7. They probably are using xray sensors like this one http://aphotoeditor.com/2011/08/23/mitchell-feinbergs-8x10-digital-capture-back/ I'm intrigued.
  8. It will be 12MP, price is tba (and I don't think it will be cheap). Base Iso 2100... 10" is 7 times wider than a Fullframe sensor. http://largesense.com/
  9. Shure,whatever... If you make a comparison you should obviously go where the big differences lie. The 1.8 test were at night and the difference was obvious, with sunlight it get even more obvious, at 5.6 on a vimeo stream its subtle. Same thing with the focal length, try to compare a cinema 18mm under f2 to a photographic one, the difference is huge.
  10. I have always wondered if the shorter focal length ones can take wider lenses. Mine says 75mm and I have a special 75mm lens that gets so close to the adapter that it doesnt vignette.
  11. But not many. The great thing about fd lenses is that nobody wants them so they are very cheap (with a few notable exceptions like the tilt/shift lens, the 85 1.2,etc) but have good quality. My grandfather still uses his ae-1, I dont think there are many left like him, so this just leaves a bunch of nerds. The benefit of mirrorless is the short flange, if they manage to make the sensor pack and screen thin enough they would obviously go for the ef mount instead of fd and forget about ef-m (is there any notable lens for that mount?). Nikon is going to do this with the f mount if the rumors are true. A great move if we have a look at the sony lenses which are just as big as long flange distance lenses, or even worse if we go into longer focal lengths.
  12. It makes no sense at all, its so obvious.
  13. Yes shure they are going to make a camera so a few people can use lenses for a mount that was abandoned 30 years ago. Makes total sense. They sell 2000 cameras and 0 lenses.
  14. Brian, if we take mamiya rz67 lenses which have a 110mm flange distance, how much reduction would be possible on a sony A7 type camera? Those modern mamiyas are very sharp and cheap, it would be nice to use them on a a7rii in highres pixel shift mode.
  15. The look used to come from the lighting, sets, lenses and filmstock (plus processing). Then the shitty telecine grading came along with the three color wheel looks, and now there are the digital cameras and grading software. I prefer the classic approach.

    How's Andrew Reid?

He mentioned several times something about a retard filter, who knows....

But that lens is extremely slow.
  18. I would have liked to see the nx1 in that test (despite its not raw)

The problem with the pre-ai nikkor-h 85 1.8 is that it has a very very long focus throw.
  20. They are nikons worst lenses (generally), the focus rings get jumpy very often and the ring to change aperture is a pain in the ass.
  21. Dont get nikon af-d lenses, get the ai-s ones.
