It might be possible to compress the stream with lossless compression, but not very probable. Compession would be around 1:2 The full d800 raw stream is 2240x1260 and around 100mb/s (if it also turns out to be 12bit), but it also has a DX crop mode (~1600x900), which is 60mb/s so this probably will be the first usable raw mode. 2240x1260 compressed raw @​60mb/s would be great

Thats why i've kept it, its easier to turn a lot rather than having to turn both (with my isco blue star) until it's sort of sharp.

Zooms have more elements so they have less light transmission.

I've kept mine, it works nice with the nikkor-p 105 2.5 2.35:1 on FF and is perfect for vintage portraits, it's just terrible to have people waiting until you got double focus working so this works okay, it gets sort of sharp when stopped down.

Whatever man... I have been following it for 2 years and I know where the problems are, enabling raw video sounds like they are taking videos which is not the case. Btw, this hack will eventually work on the d5100/d7000/d800, the newer cameras are totally different and they haven't worked on them at all.

This is a big step but there is still a long way to "enable raw video" if its possible at all (because there could be some problems with speed,and many other things...)

It's possible that the stabilizer permits pixel shift, If it's fast enough it could be even better than actual 56mp. I just wish it had good video, I totally want to dump my heavy gear and shoot with an a7rii and some voigtlanders...

I have that lens (and it's not micro, it's about the same size as a sankor) On full frame you can go 75mm if you find a lens that's compact enough to get very close to the optics. I payed 100€ for it, and that's what you should pay for it

Lol you should monitor the temperature on those cards they dont look like theyre going to make it through the summer.

Maybe you can wait a little bit more and see how the rumored sony A7000 performs, the rumor says it records 4K but got delayed because of heating problems (rumors you know...)

I think the samsung NX1 is much more interesting because landscapes,etc... benefit a lot from the 4K.

He finds a great deal on a complete zeiss super speeds mkii set, sells his lesser cameras and buys a nx1.

I would try to get a good deal on a kowa 16h/8z

The Nikkor-H 85 1.8 is a very good vintage lens, low contrast but very few aberrations. Cleaning the 28-70 2.8 must be pretty hard like with any zoom lens...
