Speed booster plus all the manual focus glass you like. f1.4 with speed booster is almost the same as 0.95. Just for example.old nikon ai-s 24 2 , 35 1.4 , 50 1.2 will cost less than 999$ and will keep their value forever. They are also very nicely build and you can use them on fullframe. There are many options, thats just one example. You could also buy modern sigma art 24,35,50 1.4

Maybe they have seen the importance of mouth to mouth propaganda given the recent sucess of xaomi cellphones. A happy nerdy user is probably going to convince a lot of people.

Try to turn off color noise reduction, it will jump into your eye. Sometimes I have the camera on iso 200 or 400 without noticing, later on at the computer it's pretty ugly cause you loose all the color detail leaving something like a 12mp equivalent resolution. I mean, this is obviously pixel peeping, but when talking about 50 MP I think it's something to talk about.

The 7Dmkii got rid of the extreme ugly shadow artifacts of the 5Dmkiii, so if you get your exposure right the 5Ds should give some pretty decent files. I try to shoot my d800 only at iso 100 because after that the colors fuck up because of color noise, even without pushing shadows, I can see the 5Ds not having that purple noise so it will be allright I guess.

The older cheap speed boosters have that problem. so much for reading. The mamiya is a medium format lens so maybe your adapter is reflecting light back on the lens and creating that flare, try another adapter with better anti reflection surface.

You got any bokeh shots with it?

I've done the test again with a meter, from the front of the lens to focus point there are 37cm (the focus ring moves a little bit further from the 0.5 mark). The lens is the 9 bladed nikkor 50 1.2 ai-s. I also tried a 15$ leica elpro4 achromat diopter (+0.7) and it goes down to 30cm. Btw I also checked the nikkor-o 35 2 and it has 19cm close focus, but I can't guarantee the ai-s short throw version focuses that close.

The samsung NX500 will cost 800$ and is almost the same as the NX1.

nikkor 35 1.4 or 35 2, the ai-s versions have a short throw and focus 0.3m. They have CRC which makes them very nice on close focus distance. I have the first version of the 35 f2 and it really shines on close focus. the nikkor 50 1.2 is also "pretty cheap" and has a 90º turn, but it only focuses down to 0.5 ( I just checked with a ruler and the minimum focus on my version is 0.36m). here two samples the first with the 50 1.2 ai-s and the second with the 35mm f2 pre-ai:

So comparing the NX1 to the C300 and the 1DC isn't exactly what you are talking about? Specially having the 800$ NX500 in mind.

They should do their homework first.

Qbms and c/y should be pretty similar, minus the contrast.

So if the nx500 has the cinegamma.... 10$ top handle ^^

Maybe buy the NX500 when it comes out, and save the d810 money for the 50mp monster.

The files are in 1080, upscaled from lower resolutions. Take the horizontal pixels of the sensor and divide them by 3, that's the original resolution. I don't see how this is relevant to you anyway.
