  1. Where can I find that negative inverter program, I want to try it
  2. For movies probably not, but for stills I'm totally in for it (as long as it's affordable).
  3. ETTR works if you are working with a linear file, before any tone curve is applied. Raw is linear, 8bit dslr files are not (8bit linear would be horrible, btw)
  4. Digital just can't handle highlights. Another thing closely related to this is that high contrast scenes look great on film, but on digital they look like shit. I still have to see a digital workflow that gives natural looking hdr scenes, on the still films I've used it just looks natural (expose for the shadows, scan for the highlights, apply basic curve -> high contrast scene turns out to look natural as seen with your eyes), Flat profiles don't even come close.
  5. Totally, sell all the photographic lenses ,obsolete cameras, and get some super speed t1.3 set
  6. 5DC = 1DC in a smaller body, 5Dmkiv=mkiii with two additional firmware gimmicks.
  7. The difference in low light between this camera and the IQ250 (or the much cheaper pentax 645z) will be half a stop at it's best.
  8. This is the camera a lot of Canon users have been asking for. This camera plus the new 11-24 f4 lens (the widest rectilinear wideangle zoom ever) and the existing TS-E lenses (which might get an update) actually make Canon the best wideangle option out there (except maybe +30.000$ tecnical setups). Canon will stop loosing people to the Sony A7r and the nikon d8XX,regain a lot of users and parasite the medium format market, This camera is a winner.

I mentioned this adapter two posts before yours http://www.amazon.com/Fotodiox-Adapter-D-Type-EOS-Camera/dp/B008BBIBOM the contax planar 50 1.7 is very easy to adapt just buy an adapter., you might have to file some metal piece down but I think the 5dclassic disnt have that problem. use google.
  10. You can have many static pixels, or less pixels and move them around on the plane. The idea is to sample as many points as possible, and these are just two different ways of sampling. But diffraction comes from the real image that is projected by the lens, it's a phisical limitation to effective resolution unrelated to the sensor. It's a cool feature anyway, but it's not realstic to expect 63mp. What you do can expect is some very nice color if olympus comes up with good software.
  11. Diffraction doesn't care about the way the camera samples the image circle.
  12. 60MP on a m43 sensor is soooo past diffraction limit for most lenses. To get that kind of resolution they would need ultra sharp lenses @ f1.4
  13. Your really mastered that camera, those shots reminded me of Shame
  14. The funny thing is that if the 1DC had an EVF and 5axis stabilization it would be a great run and gun camera, the size is perfect for steady hand held, fits your hand like a glove.
  15. Yep I really hope this 50mp canon will be good enough to compete with medium format backs, because I'm looking to buy a phase one p65 for cheap
  16. It will have live view so it will have video too. And I highly doubt that after having good live view they will confront their users with shitty live view like in the d800 series.
  17. I would like to see it compared to the nikkor 50 1.2 (300€) and the nikkor 50 2 ai(30€). The second one isn't a stellar performer when compared to expensive modern lenses but it's a very cinematic lens with smooth bokeh and all the sharpness you need wideopen, (I picked these two cause theyre the ones I use)
  18. I missed some photographic lenses in the comparison, after all that's what 99% of the users are going for.

Yes I am Nikon lenses still have a manual aperture lever, so if you have a g lens adapter you can manually control the aperture.
  20. Because the viewfinder has an lcd screen inside (or whatever screen type that is) which normally handles grid lines,etc... if you take out the battery it goes black darkening and blurring the path between your eyes and the ground glass.
  21. The d7100 is like the d5200 in terms of video. I remember reading that it had some strange banding in the shadows like the d5200, but you will have to search that for your self, The d7200 is going to be announced in a week or so, expect some mayor price drops.
