Everytime I see that camera with the cine lenses I have to laugh, it's the size and looks of a medium format camera but it's only aps-c and the lenses are 60% empty housing...

Big news - Samsung NX1 with 4K, 24p and **H.265 HVEC codec**
Nikkor replied to Andrew Reid's topic in Cameras
The statement that said the NX1 was oversampling the 4K form every single pixel turns out to be wrong. Firstly there is the 4:2:0 which shows a lot on the colors, but also the luma is very blurred and doesn't compare to the 6K JPG scaled down. -
Just hold an Ipad 2 and an Ipad 3+ at a reasonable distance where you don't see the pixels on the ipad 2 anymore. You will be able to tell the difference. But anyway, that discussion will lead no where. Keep your 1080p and be happy.

You're the projectionist ;) But yeah I was comparing to photographic 35mm. When I scan 35mm negatives at home they have tons of details (with low grain film). Anyway, I can see the pixels in 2K projections and it makes them look crappy, grain at least is random so it doesn't has the sharpened look.

35mm film has more resolution than 4K so that's bullshit.

By the time they release it you will be able to buy two A7s plus recorders for the same price because Sony is going to present new professional A7 cameras in February.

Canon is my shepard, I lack nothing.

Great! Make this an ipad application with smart controls and you might make some money. All that manual glass looks suddenly so old ;)

Only lenses over 85 need large front diameters to have large apertures. I have a nikkor 85 1.8 with a 52mm filter diameter, and since we are talking about Micro43, large apertures are no problem with smaller than 50mm front elements. Remember, Focal length / Apparent Aperture Size = f stop number

Well, since most of the beauty in anamorphics comes from out of focus areas, f2 on mft would be something desirable.

You can also skip the rice part and just wait a few days, it should go away too. The rice might not be the best idea because some particles might get in ^^.

You want it to dry, and the common procedure is to put it in a dry place with something that absorbes humidity. If you put it into sunlight it will come back once you put it into a cooler place.
-
Put it in a bag with the silica gel bags and let it dry. Use rice until you get the silica gel bags, and put it in a dry place.

You have to pull the ring until it pops out a little, then the focus ring will be unlocked. At least on my isco it's this way (yours looks different) When I got mine, the first time it was pretty hard but then it worked flawlessly.

If you come across another iscorama, just buy it, don't put it on forums ;)

That thing is going to sell for atleast 2000€, forget about it. I also sent a message to the seller and there already have asked a lot of guys to buy it from him, so he looked what it was worth. He doesn't want to ship outside Germany, and he wants some money for it.

Shooting with a 4K pocket camera - the exceptional Panasonic LX100
Nikkor replied to Andrew Reid's topic in Cameras
I would never put a camera into my pockets, that place is full of dust and you won't get it out a camera with fixed lens. You also don't want to stress the aligment between lens and sensor. -
Lol never post an ebay link on a forum if you plan on getting it. (unless this is your special way of promoting your own auction)

You need to find an APS-C lens that doesn't vignette on Fullframe, the helios gives that kind of effect but on larger than FF, maybe there is some half-frame equivalent.
