Economists only know about things that already happened, and most of the times not even that. Mirrors will be history in a few years.

The only source of information comes from the bayer sensor in the form of raw data,if you save that, that's it.

Contax/Yashica Zeiss with Anamorphic (Kowa 16H/8Z)?
Nikkor replied to Caleb Genheimer's topic in Cameras
You won't have any flares, that's for shure. Also these zeiss lenses, or at least the 85, have a very big front element which doesn't work that good toghether with anamorphics (at least with mine). The planar 50 1.7 should work perfectly fine if you like plastic bokeh. -
I wonder if you could hack open one of these and glue a nikon speedbooster on it -> 1337
-
But probably RAW will be smaller than 444 (12bit vs 3x10bit)
-
New BMPCC in September?
-
You can fit all your hasselblad stuff on it, you loose AF but lol @ MF AF. Anyway, once the MF speedbooster comes out the A7R/S will be a Leica and a Medium Format camera.
-
Because it skips lines, probably 3 lines, so you will percieve several times more noise in video as you will percieve on a still picture when observed at the same size.
-
And the video comes from a fullframe crop area (needs confirmation), and even if it's not the DOF bla bla is bullshit because the sensor is 44cm wide, that's almost the same as FF.
-
And the samsung mount is too long for speedboosters.
-
Is it possible to attach an F mount Iscorama this on a Canon EOS system?
Nikkor replied to hasselblad's topic in Cameras
You can mount nikon lenses on Canon bodies without any problem. Make shure to get a good quality adapter, otherwise the lens won't fit perfectly and move around while focusing. -
If you want to change aperture while in liveview you need lenses with an aperture ring.
-
But the 6D has SD cards and therefore limited to a low resolution with ML RAW

Some nice looking ML raw lowlight from the 5 years old MKII to remind some of us that we might not need the a7s :P

Honestly I don't understand how they don't pay custom taxes. In Spain you have to pay 21%(VAT) +3%(import taxes) +20€ (customs paper work with UPS), if you don't declare the true value you will also have to pay a penalty and go to the offices in Madrid personally to show them the bill, and since 3 years it's almost impossible to trick them (no gift shit,etc...) On the other hand I just recieved a Bell and Howell anamorphic lens from the USA and they didn't stop it at customs (200$) which is kinda strange.
-
And you don't pay import taxes in the UK? I wonder what happens if I buy this from iSpain.

Well that's great news, I must resist GAS...

I can't sleep at night because of this. Most shortfilms are a way of learning and showing off/ confirming your skills. If your skills are taking random shots that look nice, your short will be such thing. If you want to give it another name, that's fine.

Or just get a a6000...

A7S Short Film with quick thoughts and downloadable files

Wow, looks great. I love the highway shots. The nikkor 70-200 2.8 shots look awesome, if you get the chance try the nikon 135 2 DC or the 105 2 DC, they look amazing at night. -
Double post.

On the other hand I find the canon menus terrible and the iso button terrible (on the d800 you can set the iso to easy iso, this let's you change the iso with the wheel you are not using, unless you are in manual mode. With the latest update you can also set the movie record button to change iso -I haven't tried this-). The only thing I like more about the 5d is that the grip is wider than on the d800. Dynamic range should be very similar between a a7 and a d600 as they are almost the same sensor (only that sony has this shitty processing that might bother you). EVFs are still pretty green, and if you take a lot of photos, staring at small screen through a diopter with a flickering and stuttering image can be pretty lame. Once they make them better they will be the obvious choice.

A wide shot can have shallow dof, but you will most likely have something out of focus in the foreground, and that's a problem with a wide shot. Oh, forget about m43, that's way too big, iphone sensors are the way to go.
