So basically i should be looking for that small knob on the top which is for focusing? And lenses made in this design are the latest lenses made by Schneider in last 20 years those 4000 dollar ones Such as this one? So you would say that kowa for bell and howell is same resolution as Schneider just that the look is different. And would you go with schneider over kowa. Just asking since i am think to buy just one lens to have for life ;) but i am really leaning toward kowa but 600 to 700 dollars over schneider which can be bought for 200.

I my self have bausch and lomb anamorphic its a big projector lens well not that big more bigish but its extremely sharp lens does not flare that much. I have it on a small rig it only focuses down to 12 ft to inf so you will need diopters. I can use 35mm lens on this lens even 24mm if i decide to chop the lens in half some people do it. I am really happy with the lens and it was only 60 dollars

Is Schneider Kreuznach 2x cinelux sharper then Kowa for Bell & Howell (king dady of anamorphic i hear) one is 200 where kowa is 500 to 700 dollars but i believe they both focus down to 10 to 5 ft. So if Schneider sharper then why not just go with Schneider

Looks like they are not all made the same so which one to pick any recommendation guys? Don't they focus down to 12 ft? so one will need close up diopters I found on ebay different prices from 700. 400 to 100

How important is white balance, for dslr video shooting? and do you guys do it for every shoot or every location change? What do you use to white balance your shoot just white piece of paper or gray card? and is there difference using gray card or white and last question is there are some cheap ebay gray cards from china for 3 dollars vs 35 from usa are they any good Thanks

Hi guys i have bausch and lomb anamorphic lens this is big i also have cokin z pro series filters that i have made attachment in front of my lens to use the filters it can be a bit time consuming using them my question is placing a smaller filter between taking lens and anamorphic lens any problems there or filters should always be at front of the main lens. And can you recommended a filter and would you use Graduated ND Filter for video Thanks for your help

I have one of those big lenses on a rig cage and i use 85mm close up diopters by schneidder series 9 and tiffen pro series 9 i have 1/2 1 2 and3 they are really good

not trying to be an ass but its not that sharp my 60 dollar bell and howell anamorphic is way sharper i like the lens and i want it but 500 and for 600 you can get kowa for bell and howell super awesome lens but what do i know
