This dream team of cinematographers is far more interested in dynamic range and color science than they are in resolution, especially when it comes to shooting dramatic narrative content. 4K and higher resolutions don't necessarily help audiences suspend their disbelief, which is (or should be) one of the primary goals for narrative filmmakers. Seeing every pore on an actor's skin can be more of a distraction for an audience than anything else.

ken why would you say that B & L is poor optics. There is not focus on the lens you actually focus on the taking lens and them image quality is good and sharp Here is a Spanish videos shoot wit the lens looks nice to me.

Hi guys enny here guy on ebay accepted my offer for schneider-KREUZNACH 55mm f/2 Super ES Cinelux Anamorphic 2x MC Projector Lens for a 100 from 300 right now i have bausch and lomb anamorphic big lens with tiffen pro series 9 close up diopters this lens is not easy to shoot with but its dam sharp my questions are before i buy 1- Is schneider-KREUZNACH 55mm lens sharp? 2- what is the closeset that it can focus to my bausch and lomb is 12 ft to inf 3- I can see that to focus this lens there is hole at front but i don't see a key or knob that you turn on it. Some images And i found this lens with strange knob for focusing any ideas how good it is? And what i have right now Thanks guys

Some shots can be taken out make it more tighter. when you are introducing a character you go for full body shoot and then close up of face but we don't see the face of the person in the full shot when you do close up i think who is this person. but still good job my self i would just focus one or two couples. And your lens is not aligned properly it can be seen in 3:55 min in on those white pools or glass and other shoots. But still good work -

There is a way google cooking anamorphic. I also seen this guy cutting his big anamorphic lens in half same one I have to get 35 mm lens to fit and it does not vignet but I am to afraid to cut my. Cooking anamorphic vide he does it to focus closer from 15 ft to like 6 inches but I believe if you screw up the aligment then it's hard to correct it

What do you guys think about red one camera? Now they can be found on ebay for 5000. or Red One Mysterium-X MX Camera for 9000. If we are all in to 4k cameras and best of the best why would you not buy red one? I mean new mk3 after taxes here in Canada 3500 and then you have to use ML to shoot raw. What would be advantages or disadvantages here. Hi guys i have canon 60d with ML raw hack i know its limited when it comes to raw. I am planing to shoot short film 2 min long and i am getting 20 sec of raw file at 1280x648 and S1 seating 30 sec 1280x720 i will be using my 2x anamorphic lens. My questions are if i should be shooting on raw or s1 or for me 20 sec is enough for a shoot as long as i plan it out i think it will work. My other question is when it comes to grading RAW or s1 file what should i be looking at when grading it what would be difference between raw s1 and h246 how would you starts grading your raw. PS i also have professional monitor not for film but for graphic design and i have used i1Display Pro to calibrate my monitor to rec709 for best result PPS i am alos shooting 16:9 when i switch to 4:3 i only get few seconds of recording on anyt of the setings i thought that 16:9 is higher then 4:3 Thanks guys for your help
