  1. Loving the GH5. Not nearly as difficult to cc V-Log as I thought. Tricky to gauge exposure with V-Log the first time 'round though.
  2. @Grumble Have you tried just dragging and dropping your file into YT? I've used handbrake and MPEGStreamclip before, but they look no better, and MPEGStreamclip was altering the color of my uploads.

My first sample footage from the Veydra 25mm T2.2. My first impression is that this is shaping up to be my favorite 25mm m43 lens. The first clip was shot at ISO 200, T2.8. The second clip was shot at ISO 400, T2.2-2.8. Graded with Leeming LUT. Edit: ETC on.
  4. Blown highlights, crushed blacks, oversharpened images - I'm afraid I'm not seeing anything here. For the very same hard earned money, $1,700, the GH5 is killing it. Skin tones aren't blowing me away either. The GH5 is a professional tool designed specifically for video, with input from filmmakers. The X-Pro2 is a stills camera with video features tacked on as an afterthought.

The Veydras don't seem to be getting a lot of love here. I hope that changes over the next couple of months as I post more sample footage from these incredibly bargain priced, built like a tank compact cine lenses.
  6. Looks like some serious blue fringing going on here.
  7. Fuji makes some superb stuff, build quality is top notch, bar none; Fuji's lenses are incredibly beautiful, perhaps among the best mirrorless has to offer; the APS-C image quality is awesome as well, however... I'd still recommend to anyone looking for a budget priced camera who's interested in 4K video to instead seriously consider either the Lumix GX80/G80 or the GH5. That is, if you want IBIS, an articulating touch screen, a usable remote app that can shoot higher than 720p, zebras for exposure and dozens of other video-centric features.
  8. If you reduce saturation by -2, it can help avoid clipping the red channel.
  9. I'm reading everywhere that the LG B6 does not yet support HLG. Also, no YT 4K HDR? I've read they don't have a VP9 encoder...

One button alone on the GH5 is already worth $2,000.00 - ETC, which effectively turns my two Veydras into a set of four. ?

Mission accomplished! Got the 25mm and 50mm. They're small for cine lenses, but pretty hefty. Probably a better match with the GH5 than the G85.
  12. Stunning scenery! Funny how almost every single shot was made using either a gimbal, drone, slider or shoulder mounted camera though. Impressive nonetheless.
  13. I'll be picking up the 25mm and 50mm. I hope to post some sample footage within the week, we'll see!
  14. I'll be picking up two Veydra Mini Primes tomorrow, the Laowa 7.5mm in five days.
  15. What's the most underrated feature of the GH5? Let us know in the comments.
  16. @aldolega I admire you, because I can't make heads or tails of the OP's questions.
  17. @sgreszcz You know what you're doing, but it's often easy to spot videos shot in broad daylight with no ND filter, and it doesn't pass the test in my eyes. And If they're using aperture priority, the camera's choosing the shutter speed, meaning motion can keep changing during a single take as well. Then again, there might be times you intentionally go for jittery motion.
  18. I thought trying to grade HLG was supposed to be a nightmare. At least, that's what CRFTSHO said.
  19. Do it! But don't skimp on the ND. You can use ETC mode on the GH5, will effectively give you two zooms for the price of one.
