  3. I used your music for my latest YouTube upload

  5. @Michael Ma I just saw a test of the Olympus f1.2 and it has some of the most consistent sharpness from center to edge I've ever seen. The actual center values never reach the spectacular results seen on some lenses when stopped down, but it appears to be an excellent instrument that should satisfy the most demanding user.
  6. Thanks for sharing your experiences. I've never used AF with Speed Boosters, just MF, and all my shots, no exaggeration, have been spot-on, and we're talking about shooting as wide as f/1.8 (f/1.2 or so after conversion). I just finished shooting a model this afternoon, and I was shooting at around f/3.2 with the Sigma 50mm f/1.4 and SB XL, and I followed her as she walked, and without any focus pulling, she stayed in focus. So, I would avoid AF C for video unless you've got an APS-C camera, or if the subject is wearing shiny jewelry, sunglasses, black and white stripes, or has strong sunshine in their hair, which Lumix cameras can lock onto fairly easily.
  7. This is super duper! Confirmed Metabones Speed Booster XL works fine with the GH5.
  8. This video has so much new information, I can't even begin to process it all.
  9. The G80/85 is a fine camera if you don't need all those features.
  10. Letterboxed 720p looks like a cheap copy of a VHS tape from the 1970s.
  11. I'm sure that's tops on everyone's list
  12. okay, cool, where are the shots to prove it? they gave us slo mo, they showed us how great the pull focus feature is, why not show us how fast it can follow an object moving directly toward the camera. it takes just one minute to do the test.
  13. single auto focus is already blazing fast on Lumix cameras. all I'm interested in is continuous auto focus. and all this talk is anecdotal, let's just wait for some tests. we're not calling anyone a liar.
  14. Neither Matt Frazer nor Griffin Hammond know how fast or accurate the AF-C will be; they were handling pre-production models. For sure, the GH5 will be better; it will have more focus points, it will read the sensor much faster, they're using improved algorithms: whether it will be as fast and accurate as current APS-C cameras remains to be seen. I'm not expecting any miracles here.
  15. @Goose At the same time, you've got a relatively slow 12-32mm kit lens and 35-100mm f/2.8. Moving to f/1.7 will only give you around a 1-1/2 stop advantage, whereas getting a focal reducer can increase your light gathering by up to three stops over what you've got now, which is not insignificant considering we're dealing with a u4/3 sensor.
  16. And here's a comparison between the stellar Sigma 50mm f/1.4 and the Leica Nocticron which I posted in another thread.
  17. I prefer the colors straight out of the camera for this work to film convert. If you look at your mother's face, it appears to have less color, flatter, and the rosiness in her complexion disappears. But that could just be Vimeo, it won't stream for shit here in Vietnam, which is just one reason I prefer YouTube. Anyhow, looks like a decent lens, IBIS rules, and hope to see more stuff from you. Very good location for street photography.
  18. According to Matt Frazer, if you want to know whether there will be vignetting in 4K with the GH5, just try your focal reducer in 1080p or 16:9 photo on your current GH4.
  19. I just finished watching the latest Newsshooter interview with Griffin Hammond and Matt Frazier. Matt says if you want to know whether your present focal reducer will vignette on the GH5, simply shoot 1080p or photo mode 16:9 on your GH4. Matt also points out that because there is no crop in 4K on the GH5, it is effectively one stop faster than the GH4, even before taking into account a new sensor and processor. This makes sense, doesn't it?
  20. I'm guessing nothing works better than Fuji lenses on Fuji bodies - their build quality is unparalleled as is their optical performance. Not once when reviewing my clips in the timeline did I say to myself: if only I could mount a Zeiss on my X-T2, it would be the perfect system. But I would be curious to see Andrew's results once he's got the adapter.
  21. Why are you starting this thread? You already posted the same question before.
  22. Sure, just dial down highlights to -2 or -3.
  23. I'm sure I'm reading incorrectly, but you don't really shoot ten seconds of an interview, stop the camera, reposition it and begin recording again, do you?

I'm going to second that emotion - I haven't switched or anything, I still use both formats, but APS-C is amazing. What about using Sigma's MC-11adapter and calling it a day? I use Sigmas with a Metabones on my Panasonic cameras - as close to f/1 as you can get - and the quality is out of this world. Do you lose speed with the MC-11?
  25. I think the reason Mattias continues to post news and reviews of Fuji cameras is the same reason Trek of Joy and I use Fuji - once you've tried them, you become passionate about them. And never in my life have I seen such beautiful image quality from a consumer camera.
