  1. Is this the least expensive option for timecode with mirrorless?
  2. I continue to see this waxiness even at low ISOs in footage I’ve shot with the X-T2, just one more reason I stopped shooting Fuji a long time ago.
  3. According to Blackmagic, he shoots with the UMP and UMP 4.6K.
  4. Panny FF is looking less and less attractive by the day. The cost, most likely a whole new lens ecosystem, a wholly unnecessary (for my needs) 42 megapixel sensor, lack of IBIS and PDAF will in all likelihood prevent me from ever considering this camera. If I were to buy the camera, I’d have zero interest in adapting m43 lenses to it. Might as well shoot with my G85 or GH5. Or even pick up the EOS R, for that matter. Heck, the Nikon Z6 already looks better on paper from where I sit. If I want to play with RAW, best option for me is still the batcam - for one thing, I’ve already got a dozen m43 lenses lying around. If IBIS and FF aren’t an issue, the X-T3 looks incredible. And their native lenses are the best built of any system I know of coming out of Japan. Price is reasonable too. 8K holds zero interest for me at all and if this is where Panasonic is headed, I may be jumping ship very soon.
  5. Yeah, it’s useless alright. They should stick to phones.
  6. From my own experience with Fuji, skintones would be the least of my concerns.
  7. The a7s III will without a doubt have improved color science.
  8. Grant Petty has already said there will be an update for the P4K.
  9. Out of curiosity, how good is Adobe with updates?
  10. And ProRes is still the most widely used in the industry from what I understand. Yet we continue to hear from ppl every now and then that it’s absolute doggy poo. Very amusing.
  11. That is hysterical. Prores RAW has only been out a few months and has already been implemented in Sony, Panasonic and Canon cinema cameras. It is up to NLEs to implement Prores RAW, not Apple. But yeah, Apple does deserve every bit that’s coming to them - all $850 billion dollars of it. ?
  12. 8 bit 4:2:2 can be better than 10 bit 4:2:0, but there are too many other variables to take into account, bit rate being just one, interframe or intraframe compression being another and so on.

Agreed, he might have said so sooner.
  14. To be fair, a potato focuses better than Panasonic. ? I’ll have to stop by the shop and try one out. Thanks again for the test!

He actually gives full disclosure at the beginning if I’m not mistaken.
  16. Why don’t you stop being an arrogant prick? You come on here sparring with the admin, trashing members’ work, behaving like you know more about sensors than god knows who. I studied photography at a top ranking school of design and worked as a photographer for a $52 billion dollar Fortune 500 company but I don’t join forums and tell the founder the camera they’re buying sucks, that Fuji is shiite and that the a7 III sensor is garbage. Why don’t you crawl back in the cave you came from?
