  1. I will give Canon the benefit if the doubt - I just don’t think they’re able with their current tech to offer uncropped 4K. Look at the other specs and it appears their camera struggles compared to Nikon and Sony.
  2. Neither Sony nor Nikon require purchasing their higher end model to get uncropped 4K, so that would be messed up if Canon offered FF 4K on their next mirrorless. It ain’t gonna happen.
  3. Yeah, Sony is garbage. If only the Fuji app didn’t change those lovely 4K colors into 720p potato vision, I might’ve considered one for vlogging.
  4. Why would you want to adapt EOS R Canon lenses to Nikon?
  5. They seriously need to replace the bean counters at Canon living in the 19th century with innovators like Fuji’s got.
  6. It really looks like like ML is soiling their pants over a potential lawsuit by Canon. ?
  7. Sony gets a bad rap for having crappy skin tones. samples
  8. @Snowbro If you haven’t ordered the Z6 already, you might not be holding one in your hands for another year.
  9. Not necessarily. The Canon EF 50mm f/1.2L USM has a T stop of 1.5. Likewise the Canon EF 85mm f/1.2L II USM.
  10. In addition to being noisier, the image will be significantly less detailed than oversampled 6K.
  11. It would be even funnier if they gave us a 4K crop smaller than APS-C, wasted valuable real estate on a dedicated on/off wheel; and a silent shutter that isn't silent for continuous shooting.
  12. Shutter closes when turning off camera. Dedicated on/off wheel does seem a little odd.
  13. @Andrew Reid That was precisely the feeling I got watching Chris and Rishi in their hotel room - like they were almost afraid to be perfectly candid. Maybe I'm reading too much into it, but that could also be why Jordan decided not to give his impressions of the video performance.
  14. I’m willing to bet the severely cropped 4K will be noisier.
  15. Especially when you consider that a weather sealed stabilized optically and mechanically flawless lens like the XF 50-140mm f/2.8 sells for $1,400. The only justification I can see from a video shooter’s perspective for buying any of Canon’s fast expensive full frame glass is if you’re able to take advantage of creamy bokeh.
  16. Probably the most restrained I’ve ever seen Chris Nichols, especially after drinking.
  17. Why should Canon care if even their loyal customers don’t?
  18. Like Jordan Drake says, hope they stock up on those 10-18mm lenses.
  19. At $500, the Small HD Focus is looking a little long in the tooth...
