  1. Thanks, Kye. I shot those while having my salesman see if there’s something I messed up. I’m not sure, but I believe he’d be willing to take back the lens no penalty if I buy a Sony. Just wasn’t ready to spend that kind of dough. As long as I’ve got the Sigma, I think I’ll do one of those dumb walking toward the camera tests in the morning.
  2. A comparison I just watched on YT suggests the Sigma 50mm FE mount has slower video AF-C than Zeiss.
  3. FW update v1.10 AF tests. Noticeable improvement with the 56mm f/1.2.

The new Sigma Art 50mm f/1.4 Sony E Mount.
  5. Same here, even though they and practically everyone else on the planet seem to prefer V-Log.
  6. That was just in FCP X. Still not sure why the colors look so awful, my other screen grabs here are pretty representative of how the originals looked. Bizarre!
  7. I’m pretty sure it will. I’d double check with Mystery Box just to be on the safe side.
  8. I went around shooting random people on the street this morning to see just how horrid the Sony colors were. I shot using the Cine2 picture profile. Anyhow, I've seen worse color I guess. The original looks nice and warm, the uploaded image has a bad cyan cast or something. Sorry about that!
  9. This from Sigma: Autofocus tuned for each lens Thanks to an autofocus drive control program tuned for each lens and high-speed data transmission, the lenses will offer high-speed autofocus at the same performance level as that of a lens designed exclusively for mirrorless cameras. In particular, in E-mount cameras offering Sony’s Fast Hybrid AF, AF-C mode will deliver exceptional subject following performance. Moreover, autofocus will remain extremely precise even in those E-mount cameras offering only contrast AF. I only started shooting today, so can’t say how fast video AF-C is just yet.
  10. @kye I think they need an adapter.
  11. The 50mm and 85mm f/1.4 are the first Art lenses to come in e mount.
  12. You just need thunderbolt, not tb3, with the mini monitor and Shogun.
  13. You are mistaken man. You can absolutely use the Shogun/BMD Ultrastudio Mini Monitor for grading HDR.
  14. I really need reliable AF-C, and good low light performance wouldn’t hurt either. If Sigma hadn’t come out with their e mount Art lenses, I probably would’ve held off though - the G Masters are just too rich for my blood. I’m not getting rid of the GH5 any time soon, I still like the image quality I’m seeing.
  15. But the tv applies its own color mgmt to the image... ?
  16. Right. You’ll need something like the BMD Ultrastudio Mini Monitor and a Shogun Inferno.
  17. Anyone here taken this hue test? They say one out of twelve men has some form of color deficiency. Hue Test

For some reason, the Veydra 50mm isn't as detailed on the X-T2 as on the GH5. Still trying to figure out what's up. The screen grab was at T2.8.
