  1. I love them all for different reasons. I'm gonna do a test between C35 and Bolex 16/32. The Kowa is sharper but Bolex might be a tad more vintage film looking and Kowa has a cleaner filmic look. Inflight and Kowa C35 are identical coating and optics besides the ratio being different. Love the native 2.35:1
  2. Check out my picture of lens. From left to right. 2 Baby Hypergonars, 2 Kowa 1.75x Inflights, Kowa C35 1.5x, Bolex 16/32 and Bolex 8/19. The Kowa C35 has a much bigger back then Bolex 16/32 and the Kowa Inflight is much bigger then the C35.
  3. I can do this. Will keep you posted.
  4. I have both the Kowa 35 1.5x with HardcoreDNA and Bolex-Moller 16/32/1.5x with HardcoreDNA. They are very close. Kowa is slightly sharper but Bolex has something magical about the image. I can get a sharp usable image at f1.2 on Kowa. Iscorama is f2.8 right?
  5. The Bolex 8/19 is the only lens i have tested and it worked. Results were subpar so I just decided to wait because John from Rectilux has something special up his sleeve. I was able to get a 24mm FOV with my Bolex. Top angle on my drum solo.
  6. Does your Inflight have an orange or purple coating / flare?
  7. Nice. I got this one as well. You might want to check out the Focuser 8. I got two on the way now.
  8. Hello, I need to double check but 28mm is the widest I can go with GH4 and Baby Hypergonar. 16:9 or 4:3. You got the new version of Baby Hypergonar jacket?
  9. That's a good idea! Thanks. Sorry you did not get grub screws. They are nice. Cheers!
  10. It's only better to have a taking lens with a front filter because you don't need to deal with step up or step down filter. Always go for the best taking lens regardless of front filter size. Only when going as wide as you can might it be a issue with slight vignetting in the corners.
  11. Hi Vladimir, so the new variable diopter that goes in front is really designed for M4/3 so I'm not sure it will work with APS-C. I have never used speedbooster yet. The good news is it's small and should work with other small 8mm scopes. I'm hearing 2 or 3 F stops sharper with variable diopter attached. F2 or F2.8 would probably be the limit but don't want to make any claims till I see. The last footage I posted looks very promising.
  12. Yes, you can just screw Aivascope in front of your taking lens. I think ultimately, you are going to want to use the new variable diopter with Aivascope, so no auto focus. I have not gotten info about if the F stop would be better with variable diopter but I think it will improve. Currently, I would not shoot below an F4 with Aivascope. With diopter I'm hoping around a F1.8 or F2. Thanks Flynn!
  13. This video blows away anything posted yet for Aivascope. This is with his new variable diopter attached. I did not want to shoot anything else till I had one on as well.
  14. I also wanted you to know, that this was the older version of the Baby Jacket. The new version is much nicer with a kerned rim but will not slip into the Core DNA. You can make a custom clamp out of lens hood and then connect it to new Baby Hypergonar Jacket clamp from Redstan. He make the best Baby Hypergonar gear.
  15. Hi Nahua, The Baby Hypergonar is in a Redstan jacket clamp and then that fits inside of the Rectilux Core DNA.
  16. Wow Julian! Best Kowa B&H footage I think I have even seen. Thanks!
  17. Hi Manjeet, I would say f5.6 to get sharp image. I think at f4, the footage is usable. Even better with a diopter. That's a fair assessment. this was a run and gun test in the worst possible lighting, with a vintage taking lens. I'm going to do a more controlled shot with this lens and it will shine more.
  18. Thanks Rudolf! Can't wait for 6k GH5. It takes 15mins just to dump out a 7 sec shot at 4K. Please watch on big screen. It's a blessing and a curse. I'm in debt and my relationships suffer and can never make up my mind which one to use.
  19. This is a new video where I mix three years of CinemaScope footage from 4 different lens. A surreal nature reel. I hope you enjoy. Filmed on a GH4 in 4k. Finished in 2.35:1 CinemaScope Anamorphic lens used - Baby Hypergonar 1.75x 8mm, Bolex 16/32 1.5x, Kowa C-35 1.5x and Kowa 1.75x Inflight Rectilux Core DNA and 3FFS were used.
  20. Having a Kowa 35 1.75x Inflight is not small The Baby Hypergonar is da bomb as well
  21. I asked a few weeks ago. He said he is working on custom setting, which would allow this
  22. I made this for fun. I always wanted to do a drum video with three anamorphic lens. I hope you guys dig it. Cheers! 2.66:1 ratio Camera 1: (Front) GH2 with Kowa C-35 1.5x anamorphic lens + Zeiss Ultron 50mm f1.8 Camera 2: (Side) GH3 with Bolex 16/32 1.5x anamorphic lens + Voigtlander 28mm f2.8 Camera 3: (Top) GH4 with Bolex 8/19 1.5x + Olympus Zuiko 38mm f1.8 and Canon C8 wide angle adapter.
