Not such a deal with separation on rear optic
-
I just heard some bells here? B) At least Rich you keep humour up ;)

And I can't express my opinion? Do you lock your girlfriend too in the basement?
-
In other words: you are my experimental animals guys...
-
I noticed this too, but I didn't want to be more bitter...

Only 6 months warranty?? For a brand new item?? What they think they sell? Chewing gums? By the law the minimum must be 1-2 years...

Juan Le, I don't disagree with your opinion, which is very logical, and very well stated. But it is my personal opinion-experience (please permit me that, after being active in the market for 31-32 years now), that in similar cases of such a massive order, the market works like that: if for a group of 5-10 people I will offer a 10%, then for 18-20 people I will offer more than this. Even something small, to show to them how much I appreciate doing business with them. As I explained already, it is not a matter of €20 (for most of us), it is a matter of respect and appreciation to that large group of people who, in my first steps as business and as an inventor, they will support me that much. This is it for me, so simple, logical, fair. If a similar large group will come to me and tell me that they want my product, for such a massive sale, me, personally, I will work like this: 10% & free shipping. Which is better to me as a business than to give 15% discount. I asked for a total of €500 net price for each unit & that's all. This is not negativity, as you said, but how the real market works. Everywhere on planet earth. For other planets I don't know.

I don't like acting this way, it is not in my character and I have nothing against anybody. I publicly apologise to all, including richg101, even that he's not correct over me, starting at that time with my SLR sale, and about his today's statement against me. And again: I wanted to try this lens, but I still believe that seller has to respect us more as a community. IT IS NOT the 15 or 20 euros the problem, it is the respect that I was expecting from him, and for a lens that we don't know yet what it will be. Premini's post is very correct.

And I don't have the right to express my opinion, Julian? Do you see any problem on this?

Hmmm, I smell something here... Mr. moderator. You've being given some power and you use it quite well... I'm afraid that you are not watching my posts closely enough to really see if I contribute one way or another in the forum or not. And I also afraid that you are talking for your self and not for me: it is not me who's buying a $10 Helios and resell it for $220+ ... Is this what you mean when you're talking about "unrealistic prices"? Since when you are able to predict if someone is gonna keep the lens for his personal use or not? Shake your head a little. What is your problem when somebody is buying a lens (I'm talking for this famous sale of mine, of the SLR Anamorphot), then he doesn't like it and he resell it? I think I was clear enough that I was interested in one piece of the FM lens and only. WHO ARE YOU predicting what we will do with our buyings? Are you the same way with your girlfriend too? You lock her in the room so to be sure that your "predictions" will not become in real? Do you remember your statement with my SLR Anamorphot sale? I will remind you: you were saying that the lens was a beta copy and I was trying to fool people by trying to sell it like it was the final copy... That was so pathetic. At the same moment that in my sale was clearly stated that I had the invoice that proves that the lens was the final copy... It seems that, or you have a reason behind all this behaviour or you are just an idiot. There's no other explanation. Without any proof you were spoiling somebody's reputation and you were just proving your personal complex. You were spreading lies around, for me man. Do you remember? And you continue doing the same right now... as a real idiot you continue spoiling others. It is also pathetic you know when you are using the moderator role. Does this role makes you believe that you are "someone", maybe? What you will do Mr moderator and what do you mean when you say "you'll watch me more closely", Mr Big Brother? I got afraid already you know... Enough said. No more time for idiots.

Okay Comurit, I'm just out of this and that's all guys. Sorry but I can't follow under these conditions
-
Me too I was expecting a lowered price, and you know something, in many countries (including many european ones), €515 is a monthly salary... While in UK, or Netherlands, or Germany, the monthly salary is 3-4 times more than this... You want a massive sale or just to sell some pieces? And exactly as it is a beta copy, the discount should be better than the one is offered for such a massive sale.
-
Comurit, I can clearly remember that some people in this forum felt on you and they criticised you, that behind your kind move to work for all of us to have the discount, that you were trying to take profit for you personally... I supported your move and as I have said already, that was great. But, for my opinion the 10% is small in front of our massive interest. Let's see what the price of this lens will be after one month, if nobody will buy... And if the seller will not beg this community to buy his product in even lower price... That's how the market works.
-
I had the same question my self...
-
They don't want??? I'm afraid that they didn't told you the truth: I made clear to them that personally I'm not interested under these conditions. I'm sorry that I don't follow but I have made my statement clear enough already...
-
Guys you can say whatever you want, but personally I'm out of this already. I will repeat: 18 guys are going to buy at once this product as soon as it will be available and just a 10% discount? For a massive order of 18? (if not more)? This should be at least 15% (if not more). Some respect to the power of market it is advised. It is also important for me, and I enjoy it giving my money, at those who are also respecting me and my pocket (especially now days that market suffers) and not just giving an answer like: "this is it, take or leave it". Now days, anamorphic sales are 50% down, so I'm sorry but, when you make an anamorphic lens (the VM 1.5x) and you can sell it for €170, it is not possible not to give an also good discount price for the FM lens... You guys some of you want to buy it? Do it. But soon this lens will be bought for much less. That's the market now days and I will personally follow. Even Iscorama is 30 to 40% down since the last 5-6 months!... From €2700++, they now sell for €1700 to €1800 (& less than those prices!!!)... So??? That's all from me.
-
Just consider that not everyone has the ability to afford this price, we are not talking for 50, but for 10 times more than this. So it will be nice for some people to profit by the opportunity that we will finally purchase as a team.
-
Personally I believe (and I think that everyone agrees), you have done a nice move for all this, since the beginning :) I hope that with my posts, I don't look like the guy who appears like he will negotiate better than you or anyone else. I'm just trying to have best price possible
-
I have no problem doing this, but I don't see the reason to do it since you've started already. It is simple enough, tell him that the team suggest this: discount percentage equal to number of sales or €500 total. If for 18 people we'll ask 18% discount, then it's better for him to adjust the price to €500 total. You ask for more, so to finally take the best possible.
-
You have already 18 persons in your list that they agreed on purchase :) Even if we well finally be15, this is not a bad number at all... Which can be nicely translated to 15% discount... Or, €500 total. I don't see any reason to be shy asking a better price for such a big sale.
-
I can't stop laughing when I read richg101's post and then I read mine :) Okay, seriously guys, I never said anything against the product or the seller, but the negotiation must be hard :) The best possible price is always welcomed.
-
Look, we will be a nice bunch of guys that will immediately buy from them a bunch of lenses, which is an important reason for an extra discount. It is fair enough to ask for even more discount based on the total number of purchases... For example, for 10 lenses 10%, for 15 lenses 15%, for 20 lenses 20%... It is very logical and fair for both the seller and our team. This is the number 1 web-site for anamorphics worldwide, with hundreds of people visiting this site daily, so if we will make such a promotion to the FM lens, the seller couldn't ask more. I truly believe that is fair for all. I will also stay more on the final review though: we can't buy without having seeing what the final lens will be and what it will give to us.
-
I will suggest a €500 total including the shipping. Of course before any purchase, we need to see the final image that comes from it, something like a review. Seller must provide a nice detailed video of how the FM lens will work.

eBay's new postage option: "the Global Shipping Program" = A nightmare!
yannis.zach replied to yannis.zach's topic in Cameras
First of all, my country's customs not always tax my buyings, as many times the parcel just pass ... While with this GSP you always pay B) It is supposed that they have to give you a receipt of payment for those taxes, but till now and for a total amount of more than €1000 that I have paid to GSP, they never gave me this invoice/receipt of the taxes payment, and they refused to give me everytime I asked for it, and this thing really "smell" ... I have sent emails to GSP for that reason and asked from them a copy of the receipt for the taxes that I paid, but they never replied, while when I needed any other info from them, I always got a reply within 24 hours. That's why I will contact the officials, as this is something like: "You pay for import taxes, but we import your item as non taxable one and we keep that money" ;) Just my thoughts. -
A 35mm f/2 lens is better than f/3.5 in low light conditions, so better choice.
