    What's your experience with the Sony UTX-P03? 
    Does it make sense to wirelessly boom a sennheiser 416 on it? Or is there loss of audio quality and just use a long XLR cable?

      I don't own a Sony UTX-P03 (although it is on my watch list!). 
      Do however own a RodeLink Newsshooter Kit, but that is only for my 2nd Boom to use (on the rare occasions that happens) or more often as a plant mic (or you know, the purposes a Newsshooter Kit is for...). 
      Also own a 200 series Lectrosonics plug in, I should one day do a careful A/B test between the three ways. 
      But for now I basically always go with cable, however if you find the ease of use gains worth it as a trade off then go for it.
