Would also be fantastic for those great Fuji 18-55mm T2 and 50-135 T2 cine zoom lenses! Yes, you can buy them in X Mount but then you're stuck with only that mount. Better to get in E Mount, and be able to swap around to FZ / MFT as well, and also adapt MFT to X Mount. Sounds convoluted.... but it makes sense I swear!

We'll still be waiting in 2030! Indeed, the price is so so so high (especially they longer they wait! If it had came out when first announced then this price would have made sense. But we've got the Z Cam F8 8K camera and others coming along like maybe the Fuji XT4 or Panasonic GH6 with 6K at much much lower prices). At least adding 10bit now makes the camera more appealing. (and other little tweaks like using full HDMI) But still, Sharp is a brand new player in this market segment, they have to be aggressive with their pricing if they want any traction with their sales.

That's not such a crazy idea, as a lot of the criticism of Panasonic AF is focused (ha!) on that 0 to 10m range of usages.

https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1501863-REG/metabones_mbsphv_fg_bm1_hasselblad_v_lens_to.html Damnnn, didn't know this product had came out! Nice. Hope Metabones does a Pentax 645 speedbooster as well.

"Netflix approved" means NOTHING to over 98% of us. As that only matters if you're making a commissioned project for Netflix, and if you are then you'll have plenty of budget to hire a Varicam LT / VENICE / Weapon / whatever! If you're doing a project to later on sell to Netflix? It doesn't matter what you use! Whatever you feel is right for the story. Could be your iPhone, could be an old DVX100, could be an Arri Mini, could be a Z Cam E2, whatever you like!

You'd get a million miles closer to "IMAX quality" with an UMP G2 + a skilled DoP + a skilled gaffer (+ a skilled mixer, if there is any dialogue) than simply with a Fuji GFX100 Ditto my previous comment. A Nikon D850 (heck, a D800!) should be able to make stunning high quality billboard photos for you already. (and if you can't, the problem isn't with the camera) Blackmagic URSA Mini Pro G2 + Nikon D850 is much cheaper in total (and waaaay cheaper once you consider medium format lens costs) than one Fuji GFX100 costs. You could also consider a Sony FX9 + Sony a7R mk3 combo as well, so that you're sharing the same lens mount.

I agree, is a very odd question. The buyer asking this should know clearly which one they're going for. As both of these are at their core very very very hardcore professional stills cameras. (with strong / unique video capabilities, but that is very much so playing second fiddle!) So anybody buying a Canon 1D X mk3 or a Fuji GFX100 is likely FIRST a serious photographer earning a good income from it, and should know their photography well and what kind of photography it is they do. And this is the core weirdness of the question: these are two TOTALLY DIFFERENT types of stills cameras. Nobody would seriously be tossing up which one to buy, as they should know instantly which one of the two is right for their type of stills shooting. (unless they're a rich Saudi prince who just wants it for the bling factor, in which case, why not simply buy both?) As the Fuji is a medium format digital, which means slower paced and very very high resolution files. While the Canon is for fast fast paced sports photography. If I personally was in a weird scenario where I had to choose between them (I had just won a raffle to pick a camera??) then I'd personally go for the Fuji GFX100, but that is because a) it costs more, so I'm maximizing that + b) I prefer a medium format camera to a sports camera, I've got medium format lenses already that I could use

I'll be getting my hands on a Nikon D780 this week, anything folks would like me to check out?

That sensor is a bit on the small side!

https://www.mirrorlessrumors.com/full-leaked-fuji-x-t200-press-text-and-images/ Sadly still no IBIS! But then again it would have been a surprised to see IBIS in this cheapest of cheap camera models, maybe in the next generation, or the one after. A Fujifilm X-T400 anybody? But a gyro sensor is new! Hopefully makes that Electronic Stabilization better than normal. Very very pleased to see a vlogging screen! Who thinks that is a mic input on the side? Maaaaybe Gee, if only it had proper IBIS then this could have been a perfect camera to take the YouTube vloggers by storm!

Top used cameras is an interesting chart, as it both illustrates owners getting rid of cameras, and users wanting cameras! Not sure how to read anything into that??

Get a Zoom F4 / F8n

Won't you want to at least keep your 16-80 zoom if you're doing a lot of weddings? As I find weddings to be at times very fast paced, you need a good range zoom now and then!

Am pleased to see Nikon Z50 in #2 spot! Bodes will for the Z Mount future. Canon meanwhile is missing completely from the top 10 :-o No Panasonic either in the top 10 :-/ 😞 No DSLRs either... that's odd. Just like the X-T30 gave us much of the quality of the X-T3 but at a lower price, fingers crossed the X-T200 gives us much of the X-T30 video quality but at a yet even lower price!
-
I was expecting the X-Hx range would get dropped, and likely the X-H1 would have been the only one ever. And the top two features I wanted brought over is: IBIS and the top LCD screen. Glad to see the X-T4 will have both! A flip out screen is fantastic too, this will be the best ever vlogging camera??

Your wishes has been granted, for the low low price of less than $10K too: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1480135-REG/fujifilm_600020930_gfx_100_medium_format.html Full width medium format digital 4K.

Another BIG announcement (but one that was widely expected since the 833 was launched) from Sound Devices today, the development of the Sound SL-2: http://www.sounddevices.com/sl-2-faq/ As soon as I can be affording one, I'll be buying this setup to go with my Sound Devices 833 recorder.

And how do you know she isn't speaking? Could be only a fleeting moment while her lips are closed between lines.

For the love of god please please tell me this was NOT a bts pic from while you were rolling! Although from that read lettering at the top of the BMPCC4K display I fear you were. As the boom mic is waaaaaaaaay waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too far away!

Fujifilm GFX 100 already does full width of the sensor for 4K DCI 4K 10bit 422 output (10bit 420 if internal). https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1480135-REG/fujifilm_600020930_gfx_100_medium_format.html

Wish it sorted Sony RAW output

Yeah, Fujifilm lacks a great vlogging camera. Just give us both a screen that you can see *and* a mic input at the same time. (bonus of course if it has IBIS and great AF! Dumb things like only 8bit and 15 minute limits won't even matter if it has everything else I just mentioned) As much as we might look down on vloggers, they do have a huge huge influence on future sales. (and those baby vloggers do later on grow up and buy a "real camera" for "real work", and who will they choose? The company they learned on, let's hope that is Fuji!) Exactly what I've been saying! S35 X Mount cinema camera.

The 10-25 is only for MFT however Third parties often have to make their lens designs a little bigger for APS-C so as to have a big enough market to recoup costs.
-
Bingo! A Fuji Cinema Camera would have none of the downside risks that a FF camera would have, while playing to Fuji's strengths and existing product range / customer base. Take the X-T3 internals, boost it up to make it be 4K 60fps 422 10bit internal, with built in NDs, and a couple of XLR inputs, and a TC & SDI I/O, plus just in general a smartly designed body like a FS5 or EVA1, then Fuji has a winner on their hands so long as they keep its final price below the competition!
