  1. Lots of corporate videographers are not really making a proper living out of only this. It might just be their side gig while their full time job is as a chief/accountant/courier/cleaner/baker/whatever. Or even, it might be their side gig of their side gig! Because their side gig is as a photographer, but more and more photographers are getting asked by their corporate clients to provide video as well. With how dirt cheap the C100 is becoming now in 2019 on eBay, you could very well be an owner with not one but two C100 cameras and still just merely be a very low budget videographer. And a X-T30 might (or might not!) be exactly what you're seeking in your next camera.
  2. They could just stick the existing GH5S sensor in the JVC LS300 and be on to a winner so long as: 1) also has 10bit internal and timecode 2) is priced the same as it is currently
  3. I'm a soundie, and even I'd get very tempted if I could buy a brand new EVA1 from a legit and trustworthy source for only $3K! :-o The C300mk2 is gimped in more ways than you know EVA1 has timecode I/O (C200 doesn't)
  4. Looks like perhaps a zoom lens, and if so is likely why they've got taped placed over the lens barrel
  5. Go from 6hrs to 60hrs with it and then reassess you thoughts with it? As 6hrs is nothing, is not even one full day of shooting.
  6. Lectrosonics SSM or Zaxcom ZMT3 ? However most wedding videographers seem to have absolutely no budget whatsoever for audio... :-/ So, Tascam DR10L? That is only stupid because he is holding the boom mic why to high, the boom pole on an angle (don't! Be level), and is off axis. So much fail by the boom op in one photo.
  7. Apparently they tested the Z Cam E2 against the Panasonic GH5S and chose the Z Cam E2
  8. Oh dear! Fuji isn't "doing a Sony" are they?
  9. True. But in a positive way or a negative way? You might very well find the bride caring more about the quality of the audio in her wedding film than say the actress who you're trying to lav up cares about this short film.
  10. So? These are easy problems to solve, which I do on an almost daily basis.
  11. https://noamkroll.com/building-a-more-affordable-alexa-with-arri-cpo-leica-r-lenses-the-leitax-mount/ Exactly what I've been talking about in the past! Arri Alexa Classic + Affordable Glass
  12. Why not? Just do it. Don't be sexist, treat everyone the same way! (with politeness and respect)
  13. Use Tascam DR10L at least, which are purpose built and designed for their usage as a bodypack recorder would be an improvement. Using wireless such as Sony UWP-D11 / Deity Connect Wirelesss / etc running into a Zoom F8n using Timecode would be even better.
  14. Make sure you answer that survey, explaining yourself as a LS300 owner and the benefits you enjoy of MFT! :-)
  15. Must of JVC's existing market is people buying 1" or much smaller camcorders, simply keeping on having S35 is already a big big leap forward for them. HOLY BLOODY CRAPPY-O ROONEY!!! Did Newsshooter of all places in the world just say that JVC never made a S35 4K camera??????????? Wow. Wow. Just WOW! If even Newsshooter (a site I highly respect, right up there with EOSHD.com!) is utterly clueless, then no wonder the great unwashed masses is up a shit creek without a paddle when it comes to being informed about JVC.
  16. Am doing my bit to make the benefits of the XDCA back for the FS7 more widely known:
  17. 4K will still relevant for a long long loooooong time yet, and I'd rather JVC is price competitive rather than bumping up the cost even higher with a 6K camera.
  18. Truly is sad how idiotic the average person is. I agree, both 6K and FF would be a distraction and a bad path for JVC to go down now.
  19. 16mm is barely much wider than 18mm
  20. It was disturbing how many questions were about an EF Mount... So I made sure to keep it clear in my answers we want MICRO FOUR THIRDS MOUNT! (plus Timecode I/O, and ND filters!) Ohhhhh...... nice: Main features: 10-bit ProRes 422/422HQ/422LT, at 4K UHD resolution and 59.94p/50p/29.97p/25p/23.98p recording to M.2 SSD** 4K UHD 29.97p/25p/23.98p 4:2:2 10-bit or 4:2:0 8-bit (150Mbps) and various HD recording to SDHC/SDXC card* HDR recording, HLG or J-Log1 (10-bit)
  21. I agree! Unless it is Game of Thrones...
  22. I knocked out a couple of my own videos during 48Hours (a competition when you need to make an entire short film within 48Hours! Very popular in New Zealand each year) for my YouTube channel "Sound Speed!":
  23. Please do share you using focal reducer on an EF mount! (excluding that is a medium format lens, or larger)
  24. It is a completely different look, am sure is not at all what the director wanted the mood of the film to feel like.
  25. Now and then you make strange posts which surprise me when you've been around so long on this forum and so much. Of course a focal reducer can not be used on an EF mount camera. Why wait? Get it now: https://www.amazon.com/Zoom-F8-MultiTrack-Field-Recorder/dp/B012XFT0XC ? ? ?
