HUH? Its price is nowhere near 25K Euros!

Been a while since my last upload, been too busy!

I do like my Lilliput A5, dirt cheap too! Although I guess not as bright as what you want to get.

1) drunk (nah, I kid, would have bought it sober too! Just was mildly surprising to me when I woke up and discovered I had won a Maxx...) 2) was a good price!

It is taobao, that is Chinese.

Either that, or this:

noooooooooooooooooo :( We're talking about the FF cameras. The Nikon Z6 with a Ninja V is definitely a lot cheaper than the Z Cams from the pricing indications they've given us. And a BNC connection for timecode.

Am joining the Zaxcom family!

They are showing up crazy cheap secondhand now. Would you do many three camera set ups? If so, then it would seem a 3rd D750 is an easy choice if you're still happy with your current D750 models. As appealing as the X-T3 is, I'd be looking at either another D750 or a new Z6 if you're doing multicam on the regular. The D750 might be US$700ish secondhand, vs $2600ish+ for a Z6 (with Ninja V). The Z6 is clearly a "better" pick, but the D750 is waaaay cheaper and would match 100% exactly with your other 2x D750 cameras.

Yup, all three on tripods, each with a USB powerbank. Nope, looks like it was a pretty old switcher we were using.

You'd use an Atomos Ninja V

Not me doing it, all I know is he has rented something for it. BMD ATEM was my first guess! And I asked him already, all I know is that it is not that. (he wasn't too sure himself what it was? We'll find out soon tomorrow!)

Once the Nikon Z6 gets the raw video firmware update then it will be more affordable than the Z Cams. But for now, the most "affordable" option is a Kinefinity Mavo LF. WHOA! I missed that news somehow.

100 people streaming from one service needs less HDD storage than 100 people playing a movie locally from their own HDD

Interesting, I thought their FF cameras were going to be a minimum of $5K?? At the opposite end of the price spectrum, I'm curious about their cheapie E2C. Hasn't shipped yet has it? Vs the more expensive E2, the E2C is meant to not just lack the higher FPS options, but I think the image is worse as well? Wonder what sensor they're using in the E2C?? Maybe it is the old GH4 sensor, but they're able to do the 10bit internal instead of external like the GH4 was.

UMP then C300mk2?? How mainstream of him now!

So I'm going to be a camera operator for a shoot tomorrow with 2x a7Smk2, and a X-T3 for the wide shot (none of these cameras btw are my own, I'm just a cam op), which will be live cut between during the event itself. Any tips when it comes to matching these together?
-
Didn't he then get a F65? (although I think I vaguely remember reading about him selling that one as well?)

haha! I'd guess that as well, I'd be shocked if this wasn't true. Quick google suggests ISO 400 for the F35

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Panasonic-Cinema-VariCam-LT-4K-S35-Digital-Cinema-Camera-Premium-Package/254030230363 Got to feel sorry for this guy after the Panasonic price drop! And there are many other LTs on eBay, although that listing is one of the more pricey ones! (to be fair, it comes with a few accessories) Mitch Gross says there is no EVA2 / Varicam coming on the horizon to replace the Varicam LT. So if you're considering either of an EVA1 or a Varicam LT, then you can buy it confident there is no new replacement from Panasonic just around the corner.

The low low budget approach to the cloud is instead find a friendly soul (could be your grandmother, or your childhood friend, whoever!), put a small fireproof safe somewhere in their house, then once a month ship them a harddrive. (preferably they live in a different city to you, or at least live on the opposite side of town to yourself. Just in case a natural disaster strikes like an earthquake / wild fire / tornado / etc)

EVA1 has had a price drop as well: https://www.newsshooter.com/2019/01/03/panasonic-eva1-price-drop/ However at "only" three and a half grand less than a Varicam LT, I feel like the EVA1 needs another price drop soon. (plus the FS7 is only a few hundred more than a discounted EVA1, and although I believe the EVA1 is the "better" camera, the sheer market dominance of the FS7 means the EVA1 needs to be more price competitive to get its foot firmly in the door) Also the FS5 has been on sale for sub $3.5K last year, which is rather intense price competition from below. While the Varicam LT is quite "heavy" compared to anything a DSLR filmmaker is used to, when you compare it to the competition of ARRI / F55 / Varicam S35 / etc then it feels much lighter and compact!

Yeah, really sad that Sound Devices left the video recorder market. I think they were offering something uniquely different that nobody else was doing. However! I'm almost certain they don't support raw out of the Varicam LT. In fact, did Video Devices support raw out of anything?
