That price puts it a little too close to the Panasonic GH5 which is easily found for US$1.5K ish

Has been a busy start to 2019 for me, so much so that this weekend my sound gear was out working on four different productions simultaneously! https://youtu.be/DdV1jW7fdY8

Xeen would be the cheapest you'd see a Cine PL lens go for at $2K each (or the Sony CineAlta PL lenses are dirt cheap too, but you need to buy them as a set), which is pretty similar to an expensive stills lens.
-
Oh wow! Those are some major names (well, not so much Celere) in the cinematographer world, you need to explore the rest of the internet some more!
-
Hopefully some 120fps action, was a pity that the G85 capped out at 60fps no matter how low you set your resolution.

Interesting how it went from FT3, to FT4, to FT5 That is two distinct jumps it made, thus the MFT owner must have got some new info, then on top of that got at least twice more some extra intel as well to lead to the 1st and then the 2nd upgrade in the rumor ratings. G85 has: flip out screen and mic jack The lack of these makes the GX85 a deal breaker for me

Not really. That is a fairly typical ballpark price if you hunt hard enough. Not unusual to see sub $2.5K FS5 cameras on eBay (although getting a mk2 for that price is a good deal! However the mk2 didn't add much over the mk1) And getting an Odyssey 7Q for under a grand is easy enough

Sony UWP-D11 is a better choice than Sennheiser in the sub $1K low budget market Or wait for the Deity Connect to soon ship Tascam DR10L is a far superior bodypack recorder for a very similar price to a Zoom H1 / lav combo
-
Optically they're identical Oh gee! I never knew that https://cml.news/g/cml-glass/message/225 And their response: https://cml.news/g/cml-glass/message/261

Can the sync port on the KineMini be used for Timecode input?
-
I love his response! "you can do that once you've refunded everyone else first...."

Sound Devices and Rode NTG are *at best* usually just a "good" option, which falls short of being the best option in their situation. However camera ops who want to crazily one man band are the exception, as the MixPre3 can be good and compact for their needs

I have worked on heaps and heaps of car rigs over the years, although from the sound department perspective! But I reckon you'll still find them worthwhile watching:

Nikon Z6 features 4K N-LOG, 10bit HDMI output and 120fps 1080p
IronFilm replied to Andrew Reid's topic in Cameras
Then you could use any of a million other monitor onlys, not necessarily a recorder. Plus heaps of mirrorless shoots only use the basic built in monitoring tools. So is not a deal breaker for the Z6 vs much of the competition (although yes, of course the likes of the GH5/GH5S is far ahead of the competition) -
I hope it has a swappable mount like the Fujifilm affordable zooms, just in case it covers S35 as well? I wonder why the mock up is Nikon style

Remoaning? haha!

Nooooooo...... it has no need to be deleted at all! And forum posts are not at all quite the same as sending a personal email

Once you creep past a hundred ish ish bucks for an H6 then I start to lose interest in it rapidly, and they simply don't go that cheap! Get a Zoom F4

Don't need NEED to. Tonnes of people use mirrorless cameras in only 8bit already Oh, and here is another review: https://www.redsharknews.com/production/item/6221-the-nikon-z-6-has-the-king-of-the-crossover-cameras-arrived -
However you save so little money while losing out on so very very very much! Not worth it.
-
Why would you need two? For the other kind of "DP"?
-
A small correction, the name of the camera is: Kinefinity Mavo LF 6K

So Is a7 III Still The Dynamic Range King? (Not tolling, just asking)
IronFilm replied to Mark Romero 2's topic in Cameras
Makes you wonder, which camera has the best "flame-proof-ness"?? -
Could your budget stretch to buying a GH5S? That is the course I'd take for better low light And you can even still use the same waterproof case as you've got already for your GH5!
