Canon is about to release a new FF mirrorless for 1599$?

Remove 4K? I wouldn't put it past Canon.... Ditch the EVF? :-o 24megapixel ish sensor. No headphone or even mic jack?? -
Fstoppers moved to Puerto Rico. Have you had the desire to move?

Years and years ago, when I first moved into the CBD, then my bedroom was almost exactly the same size as my bed! -
If he is a smart writer then he will think about who he might be selling his scripts to, and what their budgets would be, and will tailor his script to match that.

THIS! I hate it when people edit threads to remove info. You never know when it might be useful to someone else (or even yourself!) in the future.

If Panasonic did it then we'd probably see triple the pricing.... it would be an EVA2
-
You need it if you want to follow action in a scene.

Where have you seen that they'll get internal raw video for the Nikon Z6? So basically the same ish as GH5S!

The Panasonic DMW-XLR1 is indeed compatible with the S1! Is mentioned in this video:

Yup, and the "merging" of them means keeping the name of one line up (probably X-T) and dropping the other (probably X-H, which has only ever had one). Yup, I think Fuji is being smart in not attacking the giants head on with FF, but instead attacking from below (APS-C) and from above (MF). That would split up their line up too much into too many more types.

Add browsing rentals in New Zealand to your reading list -
The Sony UWP series dual transmitter is the best option on the low end (at least until Deity launches theirs). But I wouldn't recommend it for most people. And on the pro end, then it is quite common with the Lectrosonics SR (I've got 2x SR) and others. Saramonic is a lot cheaper than Sennheiser, and I wouldn't recommend. I should really do a comparison/review video one day between them. Stick with buying Sony UWP-D11 if on a tight budget.

S1R doesn't interest me. And the S1 is up against some powerful competition of the Nikon Z6 with ProRes RAW for only US$2K

Vimeo legal blunder leads to $10 million fine in Italy

Copyright laws the world over are totally screwed up, we're better off chucking out the lot of them than keeping them. -
Heh, if they have the 2.5mm input like the X-A5 that would be annoying but not a deal breaker. Definitely only one SD slot X-T30 would be the "newer camera" so it is possible that just maybe in one or two areas the X-T30 will be "better". The big hope is IBIS is that area! Yes they "should have" it in cameras at around this price point. And I hope they don't leave it to only X-H series, as the X-H2 is still a fair distance away (in fact, it isn't impossible it might never happen? A bit confusing having X-T3 / X-Pro2 / X-H1 all at once, one of these lines will probably disappear? I bet the X-H1)

https://www.mirrorlessrumors.com/multiple-announcements-coming-this-february-panasonic-sony-canon-fuji-and-nikon/ Valentine's Day is seeing the Fujifilm X-T30 released Perhaps most of the goodness of the X-T3 but at an even cheaper price?? (fingers crossed they add IBIS to the newer X-T30 camera! )

Ironically two of the companies most at risk of dying out. All the goodness of the GH5S/GH5 combined, plus: internal 4K 120fps 10bit, raw over HDMI, internal NDs, and fixed TC. Many people would buy that GH6 for $3K in a heartbeat.

Canon predicting a 50% decline in sales units in the next 2 years
IronFilm replied to JurijTurnsek's topic in Cameras
Given how slowly Canon trickles out new features to consumers already.... haven't they been doing this to us for years? ha! :-P -
I agree, but I am waiting for an expansion accessory with TC and SDI rolled into one for the Ninja V. (they've already got one which works with TCS' products, and Atomos has hinted at a SDI expansion accessory. But I doubt I'll see both together?)

Nikon Z6 features 4K N-LOG, 10bit HDMI output and 120fps 1080p
IronFilm replied to Andrew Reid's topic in Cameras
Yes, Nikon is one of the top choices for video (arguably the #1 choice), yet their perception is not even "mid back" but "last" (ignored alongside with Pentax etc). Nikon has a serious marketing problem, and giving us raw video from a $2K full frame mirrorless exactly what they need to do to make heads turn and finally pay attention. -
Well as we're only just now seeing 4K 30fps, I'd give it a no better than 50/50 chance we'd see 4K 120fps from one of the top two brands within 5 years. Reckon it could happen with APS-C though within 5yrs.

New Zealand has a really great Island to live on. Unfortunately NZ has a kinda similar problem as well.... What does the guy behind Camera Conspiracies mostly do for income? -
Already exists for sub $2K! The Z Cam E2

6hrs is a deal breaker for so many of us. And within a few years the battery life will be halved. Who the hell wants wireless that goes for only 3hrs?? I don't care. Would rather hope the Sony UWP-D11 gets a price cut.... A non-issue that small price difference when you're talking about a wireless purchase, for what you get.

IronFilm replied to Andrew Reid's topic in Cameras
Why not Nikon be first? After all Nikon was first giving us an HDSLR in the first place! ? (Nikon picked up a few other minor firsts too, like the first 4K APS-C DSLR, and numerous firsts in the photography world) And then Panasonic will release the S1 and Sony will have to delay yet again.... Then Fujifilm releases the X-H2 and Sony has to delay yet again Until Panasonic will release the GH6 and Sony will have to delay yet again....
