  1. That link is "SR5", which means *very* likely. But it seems, from my reading of it ("an anamous source", so not one of his regulars?), the 4K 60fps 10bit with flip screen is *not* part of that SR5 news? So I wouldn't be holding your breath just yet. I agree, it is a key feature for vlogging, much more important than even auto focus. Plus even for non-vlogging uses, I prefer the flip out screen over the one which can only tilt. As being able to flip it out so often ends up being very handy. For instance tonight I was booming a scene *AND* stopping/starting the C Camera that happened to be next to me (it is a small crew). Being able to flip out the screen to face me (so I can see it while booming) was very handy!
  2. The main relevance to me is: how much lower can the Sony FS700's price sink once a new camera is announced? ? Probably not much lower! US$1.5K might be its floor for now
  3. And a Panasonic GH6... And whatever Blackmagic announces at 2019 NAB... And a Nikon DX mirrorless? And a Fujifilm will release the X-H2? Etc etc
  4. Well until very recently absolutely nobody but Panasonic offered 4K 60fps (at least not around the $2K ish price point).
  5. Because nobody reads the margins of a page anyway.
  6. That was me ? Posted from my Sound Speed! YouTube channel.
  7. Because I'm on a short film shoot now, they're using 2x 5Dmk3 plus a Canon 70D. Would be nice if I could mute the timecode signal from the Tentacle Sync E timecode boxes. First time using the Tentacle Sync E! Works the same as the old original Timecode Syncs but plus a couple of extra features
  8. But yet, that doesn't feel unreasonable to me! I've worked on many shoots like that
  9. https://www.facebook.com/groups/zcame2/permalink/213010226096597/ Z Cam E2 is now shipping
  10. Haters? But these YouTubers are always so unbiased: Oh hang on..... Maybe they're not
  11. Will Apertus be shipping a camera before 2020?
  12. Hey now, we're only up to page 17! We should still be staying more on topic than that!
  13. Don't hold your breath. It is never great on any camera. Because: Location Location Location
  14. And unfortunately just as quickly as that people are being sucked into the mythical siren's songs..... but they'll be sure to get their hearts dashed against the ocean's rocks in the future again.
  15. Low res for a better panel, not so sure how I feel about that
  16. I'm now taking 2:1 odds that even Pentax will catch up with Canon in the video leagues by 2022! ?
  17. Exactly, I want the best possible camera, but also it is nice if it is a bunch of medium and low level settings underneath the top setting as well. This is one of the downsides of the C200, it didn't have that many options, just raw or 8bit
  18. 720p isn't a terribly bad feature to have either, say if you're streaming a boring loooooong corporate event that is droning on for hours and hours There are still plenty of TV stations too which only demand 720 or less
  19. Yes, I immediately thought of you when I read that thread!
  20. I just googled to check, and yup, I got it wrong! Thanks for pointing that out. Am a little surprised then there is no 8bit option whatsoever as a more lightweight / quick turn around / long form option?
  21. Yes, such as ProRes LT (my usual choice when I'm just going to upload direct to YouTube for my vlog)
