Marantz PMD-750 wireless just got a price drop down to $299: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1340330-REG/marantz_professional_pmd_750_2_4ghz_camera_mount_wireless.html As the receiver can be used with two transmitters, you could buy a second transmitter for a hundred and fifty and have a two channels of wireless for a very low cost.

Seriously if Nikon just makes their DX Mirrorless being a Samsung NX1 at a Nikon D7500 price point with a perfectly flawless Nikon F mount adapter included, then I will be a very happy boy instead! And if Nikon can add a little gravy on top like a 10bit output and waveform monitoring, then I'll just be doing cartwheels of joy. But I fear that Nikon will not even be releasing *any* type of Nikon DX during 2018.

RED ONE and FS700 are in completely different worlds when it comes to weight/size and power draw!

Hang on..... I thought Canon was only threatening ML to not touch the Canon 1D C? Are they bullying ML to not even mess with the lowly 80D?!?! Wow. That is low Canon, very low. Is funny how life is! Cinemartin Fran 8K = you thought I was serious, I was joking. Z Cam / Kinefinety = you thought I was joking, but I was serious! Full HD to 4K is "only" four times the pixels (thus should "only" take 3yrs for us to catch up with Moores Law), yet the transition from FHD to 4K has taken much much much longer than 3yrs! (heck, we're not even there yet! The transition to 4K is still on going. I mean, in some places they still haven't caught up to FHD!) And I expect the change over from 4K to 8K will take even longer than it is taking for FHD to 4K because of diminishing returns. (the benefits of SD to HD was fairly obvious, from 4K to 8K? Less so)

Wait.... what??? Just ask any Sanders supporter and they'll tell you the exact opposite! That the systems was rigged heavily in the Clintons' favor! And to say Republican supporters helped Sanders win primaries by voting for him is I feel just bizarre. Independents? Yes. As Sanders was reaching out to voters who felt the old established Democratic Party were not speaking to them, but Sanders was different and bringing in a lot of young new blood to the Democratic Party's cause. Is this a bad thing? (from the perspective of a Democratic Party supporter that is, just to clarify: I'm not one. I'm not even an American citizen) I'd say probably not, because you don't win elections by purely appealing to your base but also by bringing in the independents / middle ground over to your side as well. So to say a candidate was appealing to the independents as well, that sounds like a compliment to me? And a positive trait you'd want in your party's candidate. Rather than the negative you are spinning this as. (although often this can be a negative for a candidate during the primaries season, as you win elections by appealing to the middle ground but you often win primaries by appealing to your party's "middle ground" which can be much much further to the left/right than where the country's middle ground is)

Which of the Kinefinity Terra 4K / Z Cam E2 / Cinemartin Fran 8K is the Red Weapon competitor? I feel only the first two of those is in broadly the same class. Clearly as soon as I mentioned Cinemartin Fran 8K it is clear I'm joking! ? Except as we've learned recently on EOSHD it is very very very hard to tell when someone is joking around online.

Not going to happen in the next five years, but who knows in twenty or forty years time?? Which is what I feel Nikon needs to be prepared for when thinking about and designing their new mirrorless mount. (just look at how long the current Nikon F mount has lasted!)

vs Kinefinity Terra 4K vs Z Cam E2 vs Cinemartin Fran 8K! lol
-
Yes, I suspect Nikon doesn't want to back itself into a corner like it did with the Nikon F mount. As that is why they couldn't put out the f1.2 lenses Canon did (except for that one old manual focus 50mm f1.2 which Nikon had)

As a Kiwi, if you swap out "Orkney" for "New Zealand" I won't get offended. As a big time political nerd I really enjoy a good robust political discussion. My old flatmate and I would have great times as we're from opposite ends of the spectrum and could have debates for hours, he'd even get very agitated and almost shouting as he is jumping up and down! Literally. ha. (not me though, I'm pretty calm, wouldn't even raise my voice) But never would he be upset at me personally (he'd just be shouting and stuff because he is so passionate about the topic), and we'd still be the firmest of best friends at the end of it. Unfortunately this is a rare trait in people, as most people let it influence too heavily their opinion overall of the person. Thus sadly in recent years I've decided it is best I just keep my mouth shut (although sometimes... I can't resist the temptation!). Because many people might think of you as scum from hell simply for sharing a differing political opinion. As for me, I don't mind if you hold a crazy idea or three, as I can see the bigger picture that you're more than just that. For instance let's say you believe something totally mad like the earth is flat. Sure, I can 100% disagree with that, but also at the same time still respect you as a firm friend who will help me out in a pinch, a tech wiz whose expertise I respect, and a hardworking fellow crew member, or whatever else just to give an example.

I dunno, some of those topics get even more heated and explosively dangerous than this thread does! ?

Medium format sensor prices will fall drastically in the decades to come. And their new mount should be future proofed enough to last them decades. So I hope they can squeeze in a medium format sensor? Even if just a crop one like the ones currently

Ah, so they're all doing their own MU. How do you source your models and chose your locations? (do you come up with the ideas, or is it a collaboration?)
-
Reminds me very much of the Samsung NX1, I hope the specs are at least as good!
-
Do you work with a MUA as well? And any lighting modifiers?

NR's pics are a little better: https://nikonrumors.com/2018/07/23/first-leaked-picture-of-the-new-nikon-mirrorless-full-frame-camera-with-z-mount.aspx/

You know how bigger cameras give more stability to the image due to their mass than small little shaky point and shoots? Well bingo! Bet you won't need IBIS with a camera this big

I don't mind if the mount is MASSIVE! Always them to put a crop Medium Format sensor into the body in the future? 31 - 23 = 8 seconds With some more maths about what we know of the speed of light.... we can calculate the body size of this new Nikon camera! Bang on! NR said 23rd of July NikonRumors is much better than many of the other rumor sites in my opinion, been a reader of them for many years.

Aside from a few RED shoots (which are doing a heavy ratio of compression with theirs anyway, so not exactly a fair example. Probably like 12:1 or higher ) I can't even think of a shoot I've been on recently that did raw. Raw just doesn't happen out there as often as many forum goers think.

Is even worse at colleges, it makes me wonder what will the world be like in a decade or two as more of them have moved out of college and into positions of prominence?
-
-
No seriously, after a few minutes or so it gets loud when doing 4K (or even 2K), worse than a RED ONE which I barely tolerate. Or bring up a massive dealbreaker that I hadn't thought of already, which I feel hasn't happened yet.
