What proportion of FS7 owners/users are professionals? The vast majority. What proportion of GX80 owners/users are consumers? (not pros) The vast majority. Thus as a rough rule of thumb those are quite clear cut you'd say at first glance. It is the in between those two extremes that it might get a bit murky. Where do you draw the line, at what ratio? What even are the usage/sales figures for various cameras? I've got no idea how the sales and usages of the LS300 breakdown, but I'd hazard a good proportion are to pros and enough to at least in my books make it deserve "prosumer" (even arguably beyond that and just straight "professional" perhaps). Agreed, although I still don't mind the classifications of pro/prosumer/consumer. So long as they're used somewhat reasonably. And to call an FS7 fvcking "prosumer" is just bonkers nuts! (maaaaaaaybe somewhere like oil rich Dubai might have something insane going on with lots of FS7 cameras being sold to consumers? More than to pros. But I doubt it! And in the rest of the world the FS7 absolutely is not a prosumer camera)

Samsung open to new camera system, joins forces with Fujifilm
IronFilm replied to Andrew Reid's topic in Cameras
Exactly, then MFT would have lost one of their key strengths if they'd competed with each other. I wonder what the world have looked like if Samsung and Fujifilm had shared a mount right from the start to focus specifically on an APS-C system -
5s! lol Poor her.

Nope, it just one of those many YT channels / websites which takes a maybe rumor then runs with it as far as they can. (as *sometimes* they get lucky and it turns out true, now their early videos/webpage will get tonnes of hits) Indeed, 645 was the "small" size of medium format. And "affordable" digital 645 is the small version of the small version of medium format! Canon Rebel is "full frame" indeed for any APS-C lens! Depressing to think their 1" cameras are so expensive yet they still lose money on them?! I kinda doubt that Somewhere between nil and zero. Take your pick. -
There is always the possibility they may not fulfill *all* orders at once on the first day, it might trickle at only a few hundred at a time. So they're "meeting their target date" but also many pre orders might also still have a long wait ahead. Who knows. It is funny what different people see as "prosumer" cameras. I might maaaaaybe classify an LS300 as "prosumer", maybe. But a FS7?! Nope!

Well my sleeping patterns indicate I'm a vampire myself....

Oops I meant to link to this as the 3rd link: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Camera-Super-Clamp-Tripod-for-Holding-LCD-Monitor-DSLR-Camera-video-light-DV/182964737590 Join the F8n club! Check if your iPad is new enough to run the app. And the iPad will only be for more stationary set ups. Most of the time it will be the iPod Touch 6G Somewhere waiting to be unboxed probably...

This is why "full frame" should never have come to mean what is means (representing 135 format). It was one of the greatest marketing tricks pulled off by Canikon to make "full frame" be part of the popular casual lingo. Hell yes Or partner with Nikon.... Just stick that NX1 sensor and processing power into a cinema body! At affordable prices please. -
Yup, I've seen lots of other crew members wear these or similar. But for me? It seems like a 100% guaranteed recipe to one day get that all tangled up with the mixer harness I'm already wearing!

I assume their medium format lenses however will be able to reach up to cover "full frame" medium format sensors -
As I anticipate the imminent arrival of my F8n I'm planning for it with purchases of an iPad Mini and an iPad Touch (am curious, is it possible to use simultaneously two iOS devices connected to an F8/F8n at once?), which then raises the question of how to mount them to my Orca OR30 bag: how are others doing this? My initial thoughts for now are to use this iPad (or iPod/iPhone, I'll get a smaller one as well) mount: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Tablet-Tripod-Mount-Holder-Bracket-1-4-Thread-Adapter-for-7-10-1-iPad-Mini-Air/142413780492 Together with this clamp to affix it to the Orca bag: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Metal-Spring-Clamp-Clip-w-Ball-Head-for-Camera-Flash-Photograph-N8M2-M1C6/282724516816 But there are surely other approaches as well, maybe this might be better: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Metal-Spring-Clamp-Clip-w-Ball-Head-for-Camera-Flash-Photograph-N8M2-M1C6/282724516816

I doubt Fuji is going to make a "full frame" camera. Not when they've got a solid range of APS-C cameras and mirrorless medium format. They've got full frame cornered in on each side. (however I feel it is even less likely Samsung will make their on FF camera) -

A larger sensor? Ah well, guess that means my Samsung lenses will remain worthless :-/ Couldn't our fastest SD cards today do 6K H.265? -
I wouldn't call the Terra 4K "lackluster"
-
Was it a PL mount C300mk1? They go for an awful lot cheaper than the EF version, as the EF versions seem to still have quite inflated prices (you could buy both a FS700 and a F3 for the same amount!) Yeah the C100mk2 does 60fps as well!
-
Then 360VR will hit and you'll double that number with cameras on the both sides!
-
It is much more than that, Kinefinity has a whole ecosystem around their camera (like RED does, but at much much MUCH lower prices!) The Terra 6K is the older model, so at the time it was "the best" Kinefinity made, but they've moved on to the Terra 4K and now the Mavo series

Browsing the Zoom groups I've noticed hints that people have been maybe running more than one at once, but I've asked around to try and get this confirmed.
-
I sometimes ponder if I should do that myself, they're not getting any use. But I'm holding out hope the Pentax 645Z will one day fall down to affordableprices for me! ?
-
Maybe might go for a 28mm + 56mm plus a 28mm B&W camera to help improve low light.

Reports are rolling of the earliest pre orderers getting their deliveries! Mine is scheduled to arrive at my reshipper in Oregon USA tomorrow, but then will take a bit longer to get from there to New Zealand :-/ However I'm getting ready for that day! Having now purchased an iPad Mini 2 and iPod Touch 6th Gen (wonder if I can use both together at once? That would be the dream! But using either one at a time is the plan at the moment). Currently hunting down research for the next part of the jigsaw puzzle which is how to mount these best to my Orca OR30 bag. One word: Reaper. https://www.reaper.fm

I doubt it. Haven't seen any of his magnets videos but his physics knowledge from those I've seen appears to be downright appalling.

You'd be surprised, I'm only a couple of inches shorter than Curtis, yet even so I will find a few times a month these moments when I wish I was taller as I just didn't have quite enough reach for a shot I'd like to manage to pull off. Oh well. How on earth my friends who are under six foot survive as aspiring boom ops I have no idea whatsoever!!! Madness
