Overlooking Z Cam? E2 giving 4K 120fps for $2K is amazing. Ditto the E1 being only $199, that is an awful lot of value.

Why not Panasonic? (Or BMD) As you're not using Sony now, so you've got no lens investments in Sony to lean you in that direction. Personally I'd strongly avoid the a6300 due to how easily they overheat Also if you like Nikon, maybe give a second look at the D7500? Or perhaps even hold out and wait a little longer for a "D5700" which surely will get 4K

Exactly newfoundmass, although because a large portion of a gear's "worth" is subjective (ditto money itself) that point of diminishing returns kicks in at differing points for different people.

I can't figure out where to buy ONLY the monitor arm part of the F6?! As if I could buy the smaller A5 but use the monitor arm of the F6, then I feel that might be the ideal combo for me. (the A5 is almost half the weight of the F6!)

Also pretty much any one who gets into one of the "big" festivals like Sundance for the first time will see a massive boost to the future of their careers.

Or over doing gimbal shots. Or overdoing drone shots. I just watched a short film that was 100% drone or gimbal! Why? Because that is what the director had purchased recently...

Noooo..... that would be a bad idea! As for my other team, I can't share their film just yet because..... we made the Auckland Finals! Being one of the very select few to beat out over 150 other teams in Auckland :-o Am a little surprised we made the finals, because the standard was so very high of some of the other teams, but I'll take this! It keeps my streak alive of going to the Finals for now three years running. (with a different team each year! As I keep on changing... the one constant is me! ha)

As well as what BTM_Pix said, the two common approaches which are done (often even both together): Record proxy files (although the GH5 doesn't give that option internally). Have a video recorder located in the video village to automatically record everything, and have available for playback. (could just be say a cheap BMD VA for instance)

Yup, the DoP Jared knows what he is doing! Plus he got a handful of other people on his team too to help out (like me! For a little bit).

By a bit of a coincidence this was EXACTLY the same Scarlet Weapon as from my previous upload to my YT channel, as by chance it was the same DoP on this video. And this time around the Scarlet-W was silent (wasn't last time! Arrrgh), yay, great! I strongly suspect the reason for the difference was the fact we were not shooting in anamorphic this time around. (which is a lot of hard work for the camera to do, which makes the camera get hotter, thus making the fan spin faster)

Sounds like my weekend. But without the wedding filming!

Meh, depending on the situation, I might perhaps not be too worried about the saucepan as it is not part of the dialogue.
