A "pro" shared by all three (yet is very rare at this price point!): timecode inputs! Three horse race: Hydrogen vs Pocket 4K vs Z Cam E2 No wait, yes it is a two horse race: Pocket 4K vs Z Cam E2 As once you add the interchangeable lens mount module for Hydrogen then I am 100% sure it will be in a completely different pricing territory to either the Pocket or the E2 (more like Terra 4K price, if not even much more!).

I think we can give BMD a bit of slack! Even though I'm fairly optimistic they'll meet their November target.

Not using the same base OS in the M50 as in the Canon DSLR series, thus I reckon the chances are near ish nil that ML will be ported across.

Heh, makes me wonder if there is a market opportunity to take in ANY record trigger to then pass it out in ANY other record trigger. (for instance feed in Canon trigger, pass out Sony trigger) For recorders etc which don't support all the record triggers.

Yes, I remember this being said as well. That is pretty close to the max fps! Which is nice if you don't wish to window it. I imagine for people trying to shoot with 4K on the BMPCC4K with an ultra frugal budget (i.e. not just getting a tonne of CFast cards), that their shooting style will have a lot of similarities to the way RED ONE folks shoot (for those who don't have the SSD module, or only have a limited number of gigs on it). At least until CFast prices fall further. What they'll do is for the tripod shots they'll use their USB-C (just like RED ONEs using their RED-DRIVE for tripod shots) but then switch over to using their CFast card when handheld (again, just like how RED ONE owners would then switch over to CF or SSD when then going handheld). Taking this hybrid approach is saner than constantly having a USB-C drive hanging off at all times.
