If (but I'm not) I was going hardcore (but still doing it on the ultra cheap "indie" budget) into color grading then I'd be buying an OSEE (or FSI if I could swing it) as my personal grading monitor. Plus some "cheap" (but decently good. OLED) BIG screen from JB HiFi (our local big box retailer, also over in Australia, but pick whatever is appropriate for your country... "Walmart"?) with the BMD Teranex with a reverse LUT as the set up for the client monitor. Together with either a Tangent Ripple or Blackmagic Design DaVinci Resolve Micro Panel.

Is it interesting to ponder how different this thread might have been if posted in the Samsung subforum instead. A much smaller thread for one! MountneerMan discovered he had an untapped talent as a comedy writer, so he packs his bags and moves to Hollywood with skip in his step and stars in his eyes! ...... ...... 35yrs later MountneerMan dies in LA penniless without ever getting a single manuscript read by a producer.

Get in touch with your local community board (whatever your lowest level local government body organisation is), it is likely they'll be quite supportive of community events such as this, especially if you can put a "local spin" on it.

(my underlining for emphasis) Yes, I agree, I feel like BTM_Pix raised this intriguing point very politely and respectfully.

a7Rmk2 doesn't have dual native ISO
-
I know they share the same sensor, but I can't find anywhere the info of the exact size of that sensor in millimeters.
-
Copying Kinefinity as well! ;-) They too have dual ISO.
-
Didn't bother to check, as I'm sure the shipping would be painful.
-
True, is very possible this "leak" is a distraction tactic.

Oh wow, I didn't realise you're shooting "The Resident"! I'm watching every episode.

Personally I'd suggest leaning (*IF* you want specifically native MFT manual lenses) toward Veydra: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/search?ci=25249&fct=fct_mount-type_2380|micro-four-thirds-mount%2bfct_brand_name|veydra&N=3908282151& Or SLR Magic: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/search?ci=25249&fct=fct_mount-type_2380|micro-four-thirds-mount%2bfct_brand_name|slr-magic&N=3908282151&

webrunner5, you're misreading what he said. The 35mm f1.2 doesn't come for any non-mirrorless mount at all. Although B&H kinda indicates it has been stopped being sold for MFT??? https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1281562-REG/rokinon_rk3512_e_35mm_f1_2_high_speed.html https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1281567-REG/rokinon_rk3512_mft_sil_35mm_f1_2_high_speed.html

For such a poor camera system, I wouldn't want to spend too much at all on it. Go with the Yongnuo macro lens for only US$170: https://petapixel.com/2016/10/31/yongnuo-releases-budget-100mm-f2-lens-canon-costs-just-170/ Then get a C stand a few sandbags to mount the camera directly above you while you're painting your miniatures. Spend the rest on lighting and audio etc... things that would really make a big difference. For instance at least this as a mic (but more is better): https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1212297-REG/aputure_a_lav_omnidirectional_lavalier_microphone.html You want to stop down until you get an appropriate working range of DoF for your needs, this might mean f5.6 or f8 for instance.

Something with the Kinefinity Terra body form factor would be ideal. Yes, sadly so, I remember watching an interview with a BMD guy and it sounded like they wouldn't ever be releasing a non-4K camera in the future. As the market just isn't there for them.

It is impossible to start a new thread in the NX subforum on EOSHD without Kisaha noticing it! So no, of course this is not specific stalking of one person :-o Rather it is "stalking" of the entire NX forum ;-)
-
That just makes it funnier! :-P Ohhhhhhhhhhh........... that is even more exciting that raw video!! ;-)
-
Wow, wish I could something that cheap for sub two hundred bucks in NZ!
-
Right, but in that case they have a much more limited range, and you can't build a full set exclusively out of those. So any of those you can buy in DSLR mounts (which you'll need to round out your kit) then I recommend you get in Nikon F instead of MFT. (and even then.... I'm not a great fan of many of the exclusively mirrorless ones, I'd rather keep the flexibility of mounting) You could go with Veydras instead, which would allow you to jump back and forth between Sony E mount or MFT in the future.
-
For such a dry topic, printers, they do a gripping job of showcasing them! Check out all the videos, there is a series of them.
-
I think you're missing my point, the Nikon and MFT Rokinons are *EXACTLY* the same! Except, the MFT lenses are a teeny bit heavier! :-o (because of the different flange distance) Arguing against buying them in Nikon/Canon mount instead of the identical lens in MFT is not a strong argument at all.
-
Yes I wrote my post under the assumption that Samsung reacts at all. Of course the even more likely response is... no response at all!

So he is a young uni student?! Yeah that could mean someone very young, I started uni at 16 but that is nothing compared to some others, I was at uni with someone who started at 13!!

I like the idea of only allowing films in it if they've been rejected somewhere! Of course this is a bit of a gimmick, as ANY film can get itself rejected somewhere. But it is funny, and sometimes you need a bit of a "gimmick" to get some marketing traction. As we were discussing in another thread on EOSHD, some high(ish) power projectors are becoming fairly affordable! Plus a couple of outdoor speakers in a park, and you're away laughing.
