Nah, the paid upgrade allows proxy recordings at the same time internally as well I think? Plus there might be a few other differences I'm unaware of.

Various options: 1) ignore stupid laws, use generator 2) beg/borrow/steal more LED lights & batteries 3) beg/borrow/steal a7S 4) shoot day-for-night 5) ditch the wide shot, and shoot around it

Thanks for sharing that and keeping us updated with his activities on other sites.

Is 10bit. And got the great news last night I'll be shooting the Feature Film with both a F5 and my F3! :-D

Yeah those Scammers on Amazon.com who list an email address on their profile are dodgy as fvck

Best new theory I've heard! Ever. lol

Brace yourself for.... disappointment.

Hmmm.... I use that one. Wonder if I'm doing something wrong

Probably waiting for Photokina and IBC?

Which one do you use? I find mine to be dodgy as fvck. :-/

Yeah, well its reserve price is somewhat higher though... ? That is just the starting bid point, but nobody has bid!

This is worth a read: http://anycam.wpengine.com/old-but-not-out/ There is one in my local city going for US$360, have my fingers crossed I might be able to snap it up!

Plus the F5 gets compressed raw now: http://nofilmschool.com/2016/08/sony-releases-r3d-competitor-x-ocn

Personally I'd like to see them make a 17mm Tilt Shift? Odds of that is very unlikely however! 28mm or 105mm are much more likely than a second tilt shift lens (Samyang already has the 24mm tilt shift), but still I'd rate them as rather unlikely. My guess is they'll make a few more mirrorless or/and AF lenses. Then they'll make their first zoom lenses? Only after that then will we see maybe a 28mm or 105mm. Maaaybe.

Enjoyment of trash films linked to high intelligence, study finds: http://www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/films/news/enjoyment-of-trash-films-linked-to-high-intelligence-study-finds-a7171436.html Birdemic 2 was shot with a Sony FS100 with a kit lens I see (I could tell you to skip forward a couple of minutes to spot the camera's close up... but don't! Is all worth watching): Ha, jump to 3 minutes in and you see the classic camera operator usage of the mic pointing straight up into the sky! :P lol

Yessssssssss! Been eagerly waiting for them to fill in the gap between 16mm and 24mm, as that gap was just too darn big and was rather annoying (even worse if you needed full frame, was a leap from 14mm to 24mm!). Now I just need to save up the US$600ish the lens will cost. http://ironfilm.co.nz/rokinon-cine-ds-20mm-t1-9-is-coming-at-last/

Take those listings with a MASSIVE grain of salt, unless you first dig deeper into it. Often a movie can be listed on there merely because a RED was used to shoot a few 6K VFX plates, but 98% of the rest of the film was shot with Arri Alexas. Or perhaps just a few seconds of aerial shots were done with a RED (which of course they'd now use an Alexa Mini for instead).

Meh, we're only shooting 2MP pics (i.e. 1080P) at 1/50 shutter speed, with a lens for run and gun, so I wouldn't go over the top in looking at fine details of quality. I'd rather be practical and take the greater reach and lower cost of the 18-105 instead!

Nearly all digital medium format systems have a crop factor vs film 645 (let alone 6x7). With only a very few that don't.

Nah will be more like the APS-C of the digital medium format world
