  1. Because they're Saramonic? That's my first and second guess as to why. Still, if that's your worst complaint, that at least means they're doing a million miles better than their total screw up that was their initial release of the UWMIC9
  2. true true, peoples interest in a new release are totally out of whack compared to those who'd actually buy it! As we all love to drool over the latest high end new gadget... Anybody got an Aaton Cantar X3 I can play with? 😉
  3. Yes. But the shipping will bankrupt you.
  4. Am skeptical the buyers of the Fujifilm GFX100S vs X-H2 would break down to a ratio of 10.73% vs 89.27%
  5. The Sony FX6 is in the same similar ball park for pricing, and yet we had many of the "usual suspects" all uploading their reviews of the FX6 only minutes apart, as soon as the embargo lifted.
  6. You don't want to shoot lower either. Just pretend the option to change ISO doesn't exist!
  7. I think 95% of this forum would've preferred for Fujifilm to release the X-H2 instead.
  8. None of them! I'd get the Sony FX6 instead, as it is the same price / cheaper than them, yet will be: a) in higher general demand b) & a more pleasant shooting experience.
  9. Because the camera sucked. The BMD Production Camera 4K only exists because BMD was trying to rush out the door a 4K S35 camera, the later 4.6K sensor is vastly superior. And poor low light capability. And awful ergonomics.
  10. Z Cam is doing that, with their Z Cam E2-M4 for only US$1.5K, the E2-S6 etc BMD isn't shabby either with the value they offer us with the P4K etc
  11. Your turn now Panasonic! Give us a Sony A1 but with the smaller 4/3" sensor in a GH6 and at the low price of $1995! 8K 10bit? 4K 120fps 10bit? Yes please!
  12. Not a good thing, camera diversity is dropping?
  13. Come on man, being on LBRY doesn't make you "Q-pilled". Tom Antos isn't the only one there, lots of others with non-political channels are there too! Would you call Curtis Judd a crazy Q-pilled madhatter?? Of course not! His YouTube videos are some of the most level headed, calmest, sensible, reasonable, and insightful videos there are. But yet, it is SMART for Tom/Curtis/etc to have a presence on odysee.com as well. As you never know what might happen months, years into future when YouTube will censor you and remove your entire channel at less than a moment's notice. Don't put all your bags into one basket.
  14. How long is a camera product cycle for BMD? You could look at the time span from a BMCC to a BMPC4K? But that wasn't a replacement camera at all, even though the body shape was the same. You could look at the time span from an OG Pocket to a BMMCC? But that wasn't a replacement camera at all, even though many saw the Micro as the natural upgrade from the Pocket. You could look at the time span from an OG Pocket to a Pocket 4K? But that wasn't a true replacement camera in my eyes, as the Pocket 4K really was "Pocket" in name only. This was BMD going in a somewhat different direction once again (just like the Pocket => Micro progression, but this time taking the opposition path in going bigger). You could look at the time span from a Pocket 4K to a Pocket 6K? But that wasn't a replacement camera at all either. The ONLY camera series that BMD has had a "product life cycle" of sorts for is the URSA series. Which is understandable, they're constantly pushing the URSA series forward and iterating it to try and find ways to make URSA a top choice on professional sets. Thus they made the OG URSA, realized it was too large, went for URSA Mini 4K & 4.6K, realized they had a hit with the 4.6K sensor so stuck only with that for the next couple of iterations with the Pro G1 that added many desired features then the G2 with further refinements. Now they're trying to grab headlines again with the URSA Mini 12K. My guess is that in 2021 or 2022 they'll do another iteration of improvements with their URSA range somewhere. Perhaps a URSA Mini Pro G3, sticking with the 4.6K sensor but with a few more polishes to the platform. Perhaps for instance adding an eND instead, or allowing a proxy recording workflow, or adding quad channel AES for audio, or adding an extra SDI output (as seriously, it has too few!!!), or who knows what. Or perhaps they'll stick the cheaper sensor from a Pocket into an URSA Mini Pro body but at a cost similar to the original URSA Mini 4K (remember that? It was only US$3K, but has now been discontinued) as a way for BMD to capture the mass market again with their URSA line up. Yup, 2021 might be a big year too! Heaps more that you didn't mention either: a X-H2??? A pro APS-C body from Nikon or Sony? (is about time!) etc... who knows. But still, if you purchased any of the many good cameras in 2020 then you can pretty much ignore what happens this year as you're sorted and set sweet.
  15. That isn't sufficient by itself, you need an Ultrasync BLUE as well within range of the F2-BT for them to sync to as well. At least they acknowledged there is an issue, and promised to replace all that are faulty. That's a pretty good response in my books.
  16. Those are US$199, are you using another currency? You can't use an Ultrasync BLUE to keep the Panasonic S1 in sync. You'll need a TCS Ltd Ultrasync ONE (or a Tentacle Sync E....). Doesn't matter what camera on earth we're discussing, it is preferable to keep a timecode box on it, yes.
  17. When you compare the price of a Tentacle Track E to a Zoom F2-BT (which is a closer competitor than the non-bluetooth version) + cost of an Ultrasync BLUE (which is necessary for the F2-BT to work properly, unless you've already got a compatible bluetooth timecode machine such as for instance the F8n) then the Tentacle Track E is in reality very well priced indeed.
  18. If only the DVX200 had a MFT mount then you could have paired it with the Panasonic 14-140mm for when you need a big 10x zoom, or a 25mm f1.7 when you need better lowlight performance, or a 60mm f2.8 for pretty headshot interviews, etc
  19. Even more annoying, the auto merge feature (when you posted twice, close together in time) has now been crippled/removed. As if the auto merge feature still existed then you wouldn't have ended up with this problem of multiple individual posts!
  20. I predict that the Sony FS7 will loosen its grip on the low / mid budget professional shoots, and instead we might see the Sony FX6 rise up to challenge that position instead.
  21. You *know* government spending is hopelessly inefficient and yet you want more of that?? Don’t know how that logically makes sense at all.
  22. Seems the S6G is still in late beta stage, with only some early testers who have their hands on it.
  23. Have you checked out the BTS as well?
  24. I'll need to hit the gym daily first beforehand! (for a few years...)
