Well bring me proof he exists, cause I am pretty sure he does not.

Massive, 1080p 1000fps, this is better than RX100V. Next sony cameras are gonna be really nice! cant wait for the same tech in a FF sensor. In 2020 we will have full frame 1000fps in FHD with perfect quality :). With 8k30p, and 4K 120p
-
He said he used steadycam for a few shots
-
Vlog has nothing to do with focusing. It is not the contrast on your screen that counts but the one in reality
-
1 - it's not PDAF 2 - first multiple shots on youtube with AF confirm this AF is gonna be a bit faster than GH4, but no magic can be done with contrast detection aF in video
-
No that is why I said A7S3, not the 2. The future model will most probably have a good DPAF. Must be..
-
Yep. As you point the AF is the problem on the pana. For this reason I will get the A7S3, which will be close in spec with GH5 but with: way better low light way better AF (I expect A6500 level) swallow DoF when needed better DR
-
Not sure to follow. If i put the rx100 V on a gimbal, and i move forward and backward from a subject, will the AF work well in 100p? It did not on the IV. The V has a way better AF, just want to understand if it fully works well in video slow mo mode or will it be as slow and chunky as the IV
-
Hello, Someone told me the A6500 use the fast PDAF continuous tracking in slowmo 120p, while this new feature on the RX100V does not work in 120p. Can someone please confirm? Thanks.

There is nothing more than a gimbal in the video, and what I said is that you can get the exact same result with a basic gimbal. I don't know what are your problems. For a phone, considering the size the image quality is really good. Now that it's not gonna replace your C300 we all know that, no need to try to be so negative
-
Nope, you can find gimbals that perfectly stabilize an iphone for a few hundreds, what are u talking about.

This is impressive too

I have to admit I took a sunset one. I agree the 4 is harder but this is normal... Flat snow light condition. My point is that the GH5 colors are certainly not bad. Also I think we get too used to Canon colors which are basically a magenta push and warmer sometimes. The GH5 offers far more creative possibilities IMO than the 1DC. The 1DX2 would be a more direct competitor I think. No but Considering Andrew he is one of the guys who critics the most, I am feeling like I did get one. Thank you so much for you congrats.... Buddy.

I prove you wrong. Used Neuman footage, I did a 2 min graded and posted the result here in EOSHD, Andrew Reid and multiple other members elected it the best grade posted in the thread. If you do not know how to grade properly thats not anybody's fault but yours. GH5 V-LOG is extremely easy to grade. Now that the standard profile of the Canon looks better out of the box than GH5 standard - yes probably but this is not the question.
-
No, you do not get it. That's how it works. You pay 30K for it, same as you needed to pay 30k not long ago to get 4K60p and 10 bit that you now have in a 2k GH5. And it will soon be in a 3K camera... 3 years as I said. What I do not get is just the sensor part. It does not change anything to pay 30K or not, a CMOS sensor is a CMOS sensor, a piece of the same material. So yes, I am impress their sensor is better than Sony (which sensor is better than Canon, and it does not make canon cheap cameras...) And I am not between 2 and 5 years old, thanks, asshole.

I do not get people using SLOG on Sony cameras. I got the A7RII and rx100IV and I can tell you Cine2 or Cine4 with Pro color is way better. First of all SLOG forces high base ISO which is shit Secondly you have to overexposed, which is shit Thirdly, you see nothing on your screen and it's harder to focus, which is shit Finally, the 8 bit image just does not work well with SLOG. I did compare and push Nice grades, and the Cine2 holds better than the noisy SLOG. really, I don't understand. Now from comments above, I agree the flaw of GH5 is the AF so it's gonna suck on Gimbal. Really waiting for GH5 specs in a A7RII like camera (FF sensor...) with A6500 AF. And with canon ergonomics (or at least better handling, dual SD, ...)
-
GH5 hands down. neuman raw footage proved good color can easily be get from GH5. GH5 has millions of advantage over 1DC which is a old piece of tech. Put a 42.5mm 1.2 Leica on the GH and tell me about mojo
-
+1 for GH5 specs in the Sony AS3 AF of A6500 + FF sensor would be biggest advantage for me over GH5
-
+1 IBIS only: good for handheld but mostly static Gimbal: same + walking gimbal + ibis: used it on a RX100, a dream. You can run and get smooth footages. IBIS can't replace a gimbal yet. It's a nice to have though especially when you can't have the gimbal with you.

And me I would love a test shot of AF continuous tracking a guy coming towards camera

Still can't decide between Nikon body for sills and RX100 on gimbal (most lightweight and easy to use since rx100 stays on gimbal) or Nikon body for stills and A6500 on gimbal with 10-18 + sigma 30mm + 55-200 the later is a way heavier option especially with the 3 lenses but they appear to be all essential. Considering the 2x crop in 120p the 10-18 is essential on gimbal. 30mm 1.4 is essential for deapth of field with people shots otherwise the RX100 would just be enough. And 55-200 is essential to reach further than 30mm and be able to film wildlife and glaciers and mountains from far. I have to choose between the lighter kit with best 120p or the heavier one giving essentially more reach and more variety of filmic shots with the 30mm 1.4 for people or closeups. Tough call. The gimbal being 1kg and the Nikon + lens >1kg too, not to mention the Drone, it might be wiser to take the rx100 only on gimbal, leave it in the side of the backpack strapped always easy to access. Who knows..

I was super happy to read you. Then I watched and the guy actually says it works just as well as the GH4. So I think we should be more worried about what he says actually
-
+1. Anything but an advertisement for the camera
-
Excellent, thank you. I did not know that the DPAF does not work in 120p with RX100V. Thats a bummer. In Cuba I used the IV and I was pissed by focus all the time. I did not have time to mess around with focus. Just get the shot done quickly before my GF was pissed. The 6500 scores points here.
