GoPro 5 + Karma launch on youtube. Some of the shots are fishe eye, some without. You can see it by looking at the horizon line.
-
Yes I am an amateur. I made a few videos in my entire life. 6 of them on YouTube. This is my latest one below. Can you show me your 6th video you made as an amateur with no rig or budget so I can see your talent? Sorry if mine does not please you, I am constantly evolving (compared to my previous video, and the previous one) and that's what counts for me. I know small sensor limitations. I constantly defend larger sensors on this forum. GoPro footage is better than the Mavic is what I am saying here. Take a look at the video above as well as the thailand one by bloom. You can produce good stuff with small sensors, amateur or not, but small sensors are not equals. Neither are lenses and codecs.

All aerial in this video shot on GoPro 4. Get some sense in your head before saying shit
-
hahaha this video from Casey! Mavic video looks so mushy and blurry, if @Andrew Reid was dead he would turn in his own grave.
-
I got it from digital rev. Emanuel. Well in this case the mavic image is atrocious even when non zoomed trust me. As for GoPro, try Protune with low sharpening and if you still think it looks shit.... Well. For me GoPro IQ > Phantom > Mavic. Mavic is a NO GO for video quality. I would get the Karma instead for a better ratio IQ/size
-
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA yes sure DJI killed GoPro. When you think GoPro 5 IQ > Phantom 4 and Phantom 4 vs Mavic looks like this (see image). Now I am curious about anyone interested in aerial video/photo buying this shit Maveric VS a Phantom or a Karma. That's an absolute fail.

GoPro 5 has linear mode without fisheye. Video quality seems ok in this mode.
-
For me GoPro slaughtered DJI. I don't care about its speed or other specs, I care about the fact that for the same price I get a GoPro 5 that I will use on ground a lot, a handheld gimbal that is amazing, and a drone that is a perfect mix between size and stability. This thing is too small and shaky (see the verge video). Anyone using a GoPro for action videos should get the Karma instead.

Yes as I said it's way more usable than A7Rii with nice features. Video AF is amazing. but amazingly it only works in P mode. They better remove this shit and we get a better A7Rii in every way. I don't care about Emount, amount is way cheaper and many nice choices specially from tamaron and sigma. If they change the af to all mode I might get it. Or wait for A9 but then 4000$ for the same thing with emount and expensive lenses.
-
It has 120p FHD which is amazing, less rolling shutter thanks to better processor, SLog 3.... better ergonomic, better battery, cheap lenses... way better than A7Rii then. great but look here http://www.newsshooter.com/2016/09/20/photokina-2016-the-camera-the-5d-mkiv-should-have-been-sonys-4k-a99-ii-has-everything-in-it-but-the-kitchen-sink-in-it/ apparently he AF for video is as good as Canon DPAF. But it works only in video automatic exposure mode. When in manual video mode you are forced to use manual AF... WTF? appart from that it is amazing, way better than A7Rii and cheaper.
-
Exactly but you forgot some A7 series has the FF and noise control GH5 the recording specs.. canon the ergonomics.. We need Olympus stab, GH5 video specs (4k60fps and 10b422), Canon colours and DPAF and ergonomics, with an A7R2 sensor and with canon lenses. Now imagine that camera ? Fully stabilized with amazing AF, amazing sensor for stills, great DoF, great everything actually. now one needs two lens system and two cameras to get 95% of this.
-
What about a proper AF for video like on the A6300 or Canon dual AF or the new Olympus?? and IBIS?
-
Please tell them to give us IBIS in the GH5 too and more than all a decent AF in video (DPAF) like the new Olympus EM1. Does. Those two features added to what they announced today will make it the best camera on the market for low budget video. I will buy it instantly but not without those two features. Canon, Sony, Olympus all have good AF in video now.
-
Would be awesome with XT2 video spec. but it will have FHD at best, no video at worst
-
You Guys did not get it. This is just a gift to amount owners and to show people they don't give up on them. A9 or 7RIII will get those improvement (better body, speed...) apparently it has 422 which is nice. Cant wait to see Nikon answer to 5D4/A99-2 probably a d820 with 42mpx and 4K. Could be a nice body to be paired with GH5 for the ultimate photo/video combo.
-
Maybe IBIS but no proper video AF then.....
-
@Andrew Reid can you please press Panasonic on PDAF and IBIS. these are two most missing features !! no reason not having IBIS, if it overheat they can limit IBIS to 4k30... No good AF for video sucks too...
-
crappy shit. overpriced and shitty video spec. Same thing with good 4K and CLOG would have been a monster. Maybe with the FF version coming soon we will have better luck. Oh wait... it will have 5DIV sensor and same video specs AKA no CLOG and awful crop. Thanks but no. Let's see now Sony A9 and nikon mirrorless... 2017 here we come
-
Someone knows explanation why only the D810 has a super DR 50 ISO mode and not any other Cameras even the A7R which uses same sensor?
-
Both specs are all over the internet just have a look, the lx10 has good features but not all.
-
Full press release leaked An extract: the FZ2500. This camera utilizes the same 20.1MP 1" MOS sensor as the LX10, but optimizes video performance with the inclusion of DCI 4K video recording and a true 24 fps frame rate, in addition to more conventional UHD 4K and Full HD recording modes. Also benefitting videographers, this camera includes Panasonic's CINELIKE D and CINELIKE V picture profiles for better grading capabilities, and V-Log L can be added via an optional upgrade. Additionally, high bit rate recording up to 200 Mbps is supported in both MP4 and MOV formats; video can be output over HDMI with a 4:2:2 10-bit signal; there is no recording duration limit; and a built-in ND filter can be used for enhanced control over exposure settings while recording

Amazing tech. The reason why Canon can't give us anything in their DSLR is because they have to protect their cine line. Here is the catch. There cine line is full of shit spec wise so to protect shit specs you have to release even shitier specs. Panasonic brings 4K 120fps RAW to their cine line. So no matter how amazing the GH5 will be they won't impact the lines above. This is half a joke but not so far from the truth I am afraid.. https://***URL not allowed***/panasonic-announces-varicam-pure-with-uncompressed-4k-120-fps/
-
So unimpressed by 5dIV videos. Huge file size, poor rolling shutter, huge crop, and image is no more beauty than gh4
-
It is easy. They just protect their cinema line. 4K is everywhere from phone to APSC mirorless to FF now. Just canon doesn't do it.
