  1. We all know that you could do: A full frame mirrorless, usual Canon ergonomics and color science, 20-36 mpx, articulated touch screen LCD, DPAF, in body 5 axis stab, 4K at 60 FPS and 1080p at 120 FPS like the 1Dx2 with C-LOG. WIth EF mount. Sony does it so you can do it. But they suck with ergonomics, lenses and colours. So you just have to release this to kill them right away, just as you did in the past with their A-Mount stuff. They don't have the lens ecosystem, and ergonomics, service, reliability and so on. SO just do it! There are tons of people like me interested in a photo/video do it all (but well) full frame package. My money is ready, I am sure millions of others too. Is it that hard to be good? That hard to at least match competitors specs? You showed a good sign with the 1Dx2. But who aparts from specific pro/sport shooters want a 6000$ 1.5kg monster? Did you say look at the EOS cinema line? Cause you think I am gonna bring a 10k$ Heavy and unpractical monster that can't take a proper still picture on top of Huyana Potosi at 20.000ft this summer? I can't be the only one wishing for this. I am sure Panasonic will bring us those specs in the GH5 and with good colours and ergonomics. But with shit AF and shit M43 DoF and stills. So Canon... Your chance.
  2. Hi, I am in the same boats I I think I can give you my point. I do a lot of travels everywhere world. Mostly adventurous ones with hikes, paragliding, motorbiking and so on. My next one in May is in Bolivia and will involve all those activities. I have not been able to find the right stuff yet even though I tried a looooot. From GH3, to 5d3, A7rII, D5500, rx100IV,..... I got it all and each trip with a different camera. The point is that I am also seriously into photography. Here is my report: GH3/4: perfect for travel if you do video only because photo is shit. Good ergonomics and battery life, good quality and easy, perfect when you don't want to bother during travel. Cons is stabilization and photography 5D3: full of shit. Non convenient RAW, too big files too big lenses and photography not at the level of a D5500 for landscape. No Slowmo. A7RII: good but expensive, and expensive lenses, poor battery and ergonomics. I did a trip in Cuba with it. D5500: good for the price and for photo/video but no 4K, no stabilization on primes. rx100iv. Great for Slowmo or wide shots but no DoF possibilities. in conclusion if you focus on video only just get a GH4 with a 25 1.4 for DoF, portraits, objects and so on and use the rx100 for wide shots and Slowmo because I need photography I will use a D5500 and an RX100 for Bolivia We still cannot find a camera that offers: A7R2 specs with good ergonomics, body, and good battery and DUal Pixel type focus. 5D4 will be nice but no Body IS and no Slowmo and no tilt screen. in travel you want good quality in one body for photo video, with easy ergonomics and good features (AF and stab). That exists in different bodies but not in one which sucks. the dream would be a canon FF mirorrles with tilt screen, 4k60, in body IS, DPAF and Nikon DR for stills at a 3000$ price point. of course with canon colors and CLOG and EF mount. That would outsell any body in the market so why the fuck don't they do it? Oh and I use a drone when I can bring it too.
  3. Great video. The only thing I don't like is that I really want this 4k60p but we all know it won't make it to the 5D. 5D4 will probably be similar with the difference of 4k30p instead of 60
  4. Photokina will be awesome. sony A9, 5D4, GH5 anyone..?
  5. How does the DPAF of 80d compares to the 1dx2 ? exactly the same or less?
  6. 1DX II looks awful? Let's at least see the 5Dx before we decide to throw Canon in hell or not
  7. I don't understand, a video A6300 vs 80D has been posted in the first page. Myself and at least 3 other people asked if the thing is legit since the 80D looks clearly better (which is a huge statetement when you know a6300 quality and how andrew speaks about 80D) Was this because A6300 was in 1080p? But in any case the image of the 80D is fine in the video. If you know me on EOSHD you know I criticise a LOT canon especially for DR and video. But then I bought an A7R II, hated it and now honestly if I had to choose between 80D and A6300 I would choose the former. I would rather have amazing AF an colours agains absolutely hideous ergonomics and unreliability of Sony. So I am sorry Andrew but aliasing is not everything. I feel more creative with 80D than A6300 that is a piece of spec but nothing else. I am surprise you dont agree since I remember an old time ago you liked the EM1 even though the quality was horrible but for the creativity allowed by the 5 axis stab.... Oh and look at the T2i video above and tell me it looks bad. At the end of the day what counts is the guy behind it..... But it does not mean I do not want a 5 axis stab mirrorless canon 5Dx with 15 stops DR / 4K Prores 10 bit / Dual P AF
  8. Actually from the first video posted in this thread I way prefer the image of the 80D over the A6300. Maybe they shot the A6300 in FHD but still the image of the 80D is far from bad. Not having 4K and full video spec on this camera is non excusable though and if Canon does not put 4K with Dual AF and CLOG in the 5DIV they can go to hell and stay there forever.
  9. YES! I Won. I will PM you my paypal email for the prize Thanks again!
  10. HC X1000 HC-WX970 LX100
  11. I repeat what I said above: G7. So did I win?
  12. wolf33d

    Sony RX10 III

No new feature for video. Probably the rx100 5 will also have something like a 24-85mm lens to compete with the new nikon equivalent. A7R III coming already? I don't think so.
  13. Fuji is reading those polls. Most of those suckers at FujiRumors say they don't care/don't want 4K in the X-PRO2! There is a Poll on it so go on on vote yes. http://www.fujirumors.com/fujifilm-loves-our-polls-then-here-are-2-more-x-pro2-4k-via-firmware-update-iso-dial-t-camouflage-solution/ This is not about Fuji, this is about video in general. Fuji puts 4k in the XPRO2, then some competitors will improve video too. Can't be bad to actually show them that video people are interested in this type of camera And I was joking for the suckers... But you know
  14. D5500 or D750 (if you have FF glass) is perfect for timelapse. Just use the built in Timelapse feature and then build your timelapse with LRtimelapse, the best program in the world for timelapse.
  15. Yes and no. Indeed the D750/810 do not have a bad 1080p. But it is not great either (sharpness wise). Plus, 1080P is not great, I prefer 4K exported in 1080p and have more possibilities (crop, post stabilisation and better 1080p output anyway). On top of it, there is absolutely no video features on Nikon bodies. On 5DIV we might at least see good 4K, and touch screen with Dual P AF which is a massive beast of a feature. And when I look at the video capabilities of the new flagship D5/D500... Well I am forced to still say Nikon is shit for video
  16. Sounds like you did not use the tool. You can go from 0 to 6 EV push. Just go to the maximum EV push on the D7200 where you still judge it is usable (I think it is pretty usable at +5EV, maybe it is +4 for you, don't forget you are watching 100% crop) then match it with the 80D and you will find it it is indeed unusable at the same push. I have been shooting landscape with D5300 and got better results than with the 5DIII and I used to use a lot the available dynamic range. See for yourself www.500px.com/loup_f There is no fuss or whatever in there just a reality that when you don't have a tripod and you can't bracket, you can get way better results with a Nikon than a Canon today. At least when doing the landscapes I do. As it happens Nikon are shitty for video so it's again a question of compromise.
  17. http://***URL removed***/news/7168986570/canon-shows-dynamism-eos-80d-breaks-new-ground-for-canon-low-iso-dr I can't believe it. All the people are like wow it's incredible and a good news for 5D4 blabla. But I mean, just use the tool of DPreview and compare the 80D with D7200 or even D5500. It looks absolutely hideous in comparison, full of noise and false colours. Since when should we applaud a premium and very expensive company that makes an improvement compared to its own ridiculous products when they dont even meet the competition level of 2 years ago???
  18. Where do you guys find 1DC for under 3K ? I see 5K on ebay used....
  19. The only thing I like about log is the fact that software makers can give us some profiles (Filmconvert...) so you get a good image then. Harder if you start from portrait style and so on. Your next images look indeed too sharp. I can't imagine the reason why those Canon sucker could not give us the option to remove 100% the added sharpening? I mean I am fine if they put the original sharpening to +100 to match D5500 or whatever, but at least they should give the option to set a proper 0. That's absolute non sense. Sometimes I really wonder what is in the head of those Sony / Canon / .. product managers and engineers.
  20. Interesting. Sometimes if the colours are good right of the camera why bother with log except if you want a very specific look. Ebrahim, were you not complaining so much about lack of CLOG on 1DXm2 and saying you hate the fact that only CLOG would give it a non sharpened look? And now you shoot portrait sharpness +7? Very nice looking image btw
  21. This is a MOVI 15, famous gimbal. Written on the photo you uploaded. Other than that I do not find the video amazing but actually pretty cheap and superficial looking, and I can't bear the sounds :D Just my opinion
