Well, I hope you're wrong, even though you're probably right. With what Panasonic did and things like the Anamorphot 2x and upcoming Veydra 25mm 2x, there seems to be growing interest in anamorphic. I wanna believe Sony and Samsung will take note of this momentum.

Why do you feel this way?

Nick Driftwood has been using it on the GH4. The Camera Store vid that has it also shows it on the GH4. It won't be a matter of the GH4 not being able to run it. It'll be a paid upgrade. I can't imagine Panasonic will tell customers they have to buy a whole new camera to get something that could be ugraded via firmware. Most customers would be furious.

Is the GH4 the only option? Any chance Sony or Samsung might add a 4:3 aspect ratio?

I'd get the A7 given the lenses you want to use and your primary interest is stills.

I suspect you're right Zak. Just saying, if Panasonic did try to pull that, customers would be furious.

If people have to buy a new GH4 to get Vlog the level of bad will Panasonic will engender will be off the charts.

This is 5 axis. I think most, or all, of what I expect to be similarly priced competition is 3 axis.

It looks pretty good to me in this clip. All the scenes were shot at the long end of the 50-200. The first part is just OIS and then OIS plus DIS. Not perfect but much better than just the OIS of the 50-200. https://vimeo.com/136934126

Samsung is really not playing around. Hopefully they add something like S-Log in the next update.

This camera can't shoot video in a 4:3 aspect ratio can it? Curious how it would look paired with the 2x Anamorphot.

Except for the "contact us" button it wouldn't load for me but I have NoScript enabled so that happens with some sites. I kept clicking on "Temporarily Allow All Scripts this Page" and the page would reload and then more shit would come up that I'd have to allow. So I eventually just gave up. No script can be a pain in the ass that way. You don't have a link to the video on YouTube do you? I'm sure it's impressive. You're a talented guy.

I wouldn't pay more than $500 for it though. There was that recent deal at B & H where you could get the pocket, the 14-140 panasonic lens, extra battery and memory card for like $900.

I'd rather see it in a new Pocket Camera.

Look up the McMartin preschool trial. Not every accusation turns out to be legit Ed. And you know very little about what happened between Bloom and these ladies. The bottom line is none of us know what really happened. But you've convinced yourself Bloom is guilty and deserving of your abuse. Shameful. What you are doing, your behavior, is completely shameful. I ask you to please reconsider behavior and stop it. You are doing great harm with your witch hunt to what could very well be a completely innocent person.

I think the Pentacon 135 2,8 looks fantastic.

I don't know much about vintage lenses but I really like the look of the Zeiss Sonnar 50mm 1.5 and some of the other older Sonnars.

If you were build a set of lenses with similar characteristics to that 35 what would you ideally go with?
