On a PC. A sort of work around I have found for my use for now is using Fast Color Corrector, change the Hue angle to -9.0 and Saturation down to 95%. It looks greenish in Premiere, but on export it's closer to the colours I wanted.

So it's the export from premiere that seems to have a colour issue. If I bring back clips exported from premiere back into premiere then the color shift disappears. Really don't know what to do know.

Ok so it's not youtube per se. The colours in Premiere are just different to the rest of my computer. Even when played with MediaPlayer it has this pinkish tinge. Any advice?

Guys, a super quick question. What settings should I export a video at for optimal results with youtube? I have exported a 720p file with a target bitrate of 7.5 mbps and it has an added pinkish tinge to it when on youtube. Is there any fix for this?

Vimeo to automatically mute videos with 'unlicensed' soundtracks
dafreaking replied to Andrew Reid's topic in Cameras
Wistia is hideously expensive just to showcase work/showreel etc. Seems good for client previews though. But, why would one use it for client previews? Vimeo, even with it's new terms, one shouldn't be in breach. -

Please let us know when you find some reliable ones. Cheers! -
If you are willing to pony up for those CFast cards then fo sho!

Thanks Andy, but what about lenses us mere mortals can buy?

Guy could you recommend a few zoom lenses with long focus throws. Compatible/Adaptable to EF mounts. Preferably with faster apertures, though I don't think to many manual lenses were very fast. Out of the Modern ones I hear the Sigma 18-35 has a focus throw of almost 180 degrees. Is this true? What's the Focus throw like on Nikon D lenses (Modern lenses with aperture rings)

A lot of vintage lenses are/were designed to cover full frame.

Hey Eric, Would would be the terms of use if one was to use it in a video contest/short film competition?

Shooting 4K for 2K on the Panasonic GH4 plus pre-review short film

Wasn't exactly what I was expecting after seeing the stuff in your production diaries, unless you have specifically gone for that look image wise. Really dug the experimental idea though. -

In that case it is perfect for my use. :D -

Quick question about the 96fps 'softness'. Is it soft like the 1080p out of the Canons with the inbuilt codec, or worse? -
Also most people don't have 4K monitors, so serving 4K is not very practical as yet.
-
A nice comparison with the GH3
-
Not at 4k. 1080p. I am not against the samera, but listing its quirks hardly seems like something to get disturbed about.
-
What about those who want to shoot higher than 30p?
-
This is a god thread to have unless it turns into bashing cameras/users. This Camera is the hottest thing since toasted sliced bread, it's good to know the quirks before we have a gazillion threads moaning about how it doesn't turn everyone into Emmanuel Lubezki.

Shallow DOF and Close-ups are an artistic choice. Also, look at the budgets most of these "deep focus" films have.
-
A bit harsh to say that a true DOP and Director keep everything in focus. So if one does shoot shallow does that make one shit at their job, or have shit aesthetics?
