Makes sense for those who go to Apple church. Myself... now, I just don't share the same mentality and philosophy. Like, Windows isn't all that great from an OS perspective. But from the perspective of possibilities it's just not something I'm willing to give up on, there's just more I can do with the platform than I would with a Mac. Smartphones all the same. I like Android and you can set it up the way you see fit. Just, for a lot of people, that's too many options, it confuses them and scares 'em off. Instead they just want one ecosystem that's familiar, intuitive and pre-chewed spoonfed. I get that. But, that's just not me. I like choice. Speaking of which... where's your iPhone dualSIM options? Where's the microSD expandability? What if you want it equiped with a headphone port, etc. Atleast with Android there's many manufacturers and you can mix and match your wishes with devices that are availlable out there. And because of the competition out there prices have to be competitive too! Same for laptops and desktops... there's just much more choice and much fairer pricing going on. But you know. There's a certain crowd that's just better off with a whole Mac ecosystem. I have no need to be an Apple hater. Just go and use whatever works for you. That's the most important thing, not what another person does, but what you do and you ending up being happy with that.

Not sure, sure does somewhat dark though. I'd always host at http://imgur.com . Got your albums etc managed and you're not putting load on Andrew's hosting server.

Yeah, wouldn't change a bit either, for me that was already purdy dang purfect! This one you did with the F35 I really liked as well: F35 defo has some special mojo and you a gift to make it sing!

Bro, like... from time to time I keep on checking out that one vid you did and it blows me away every single time. You worked wonders with that F35. To me, it honestly doesn't get much better than that.

Leica is always good for premo schtuff... both quality... and pricetag. Needless to say... I won't be getting one anytime soon. Did buy my Voigtländer 17.5mm from a guy who switched to the Leica Q as well, so, I guess there's still a sunny side to it for those whose collection won't have a Leica camera init for the while. Of course I'm a wannabe, so I'll still chase the dream... Huawei P10 Plus has the Leica collab going on, got that MFT Leica 15mm f/1.7 and now the 12-60mm f/2.8-4 that came with the GH5. Two Summicron-R E55 f/2 primes in 35 & 50mm flavors to adapt. But then again, neither of these are even close to £1500 a pop and offer me a bit more versatility. For the lifestyle stills shooters, the Q however is definitely about as good as it gets. There's something about Leica snaps... those cameras capture the emotion of the moment, as if it feels... and intensifies it... connects you to it, where most other cameras can only see and observe, kinda lacking that kind of immersion. I also like the idea of having the very basics covered in one of the most purist forms. That's something that I really appreciate about shooting with the LX100 (oh, another thing with a hint of 'Leica'). Don't have to think about what to bring with you, you just bring your camera and that's it. Would've even been better with a single focal lenght perhaps, that would've simplified it even more. That's why I'm really hoping Ricoh would make a GRIII and hopefully one with a tilting touchscreen and weatherproofing (dustproof!). That's about as close as analog shooting with a digital camera you're going to get perhaps. Surely Fujifilm is doing great things too. And at more of an price for anyone to enjoy it.

I wish they would actually make something Nice... (Like an A69 that's a mirrorless APS-C camera with the rough formfactor and functionality of the GH5 and a plethora of exciting compact lenses native to that sensor size)

I find What Hi-Fi always explains subjects like these pretty well: https://www.whathifi.com/advice/hdr-tv-what-it-how-can-you-get-it . -
Didn't know that, saweet! Co-incidentally saw this one:

Kai! Now it's just waiting for the Sirui Twisty Slide 75. One that has a single big rotating ring below the base that instantly lets you adjust the hight amongst all legs in a levelling way with a single twist to un-/lock.

Panasonic GH5 Review and exclusive first look at Version 2.0 firmware

Nice. :D I figured it was a pretty good deal, plus I'd gotten an E-M5 for 134,- EUR more with purchase of a 2nd hand Voigtländer 17.5mm f/0.95 (guy selling switched to Leica Q; wanted to get rid of the Olympus too), so I went ahead and send 'em that Olympus (100 GBP + 200 GBP bonus). Also heard of one fella that said a store even told him not having to bother sending anything in return. Not sure about the Leica zoom, but in worse case... standalone it's availlable for 999, so, it's not exactly worthless. Selling it off would effectively turn the GH5 into a ~1300 EUR body or something. I mean, not too shabby for one that still sells for 1999 at some places. -

Mmmkai. '10-bit HDR Image Sensor'. ~ http://www.lg.com/us/mobile-phones/v30 Though, that doesn't necessarily mean video is being recorded in 10-bit of course. But they do put a lot of focus on 'Cine' 'movie-quality' 'pro' 'Log'... but then again, that reminds me of the E-M5 Mark II press release that didn't even mention the word 'video', only terms like 'professional' 'cinema' 'film'... and who's been picking that one up over an Panasonic, Sony, etc? At any rate... it's a smartphone, it's cool if it's actually any good, but you'd probably still pick the right tool for the right job and more than likely, that's not a smartphone.

And erm... you needed to open your own topic just to tell us that? ( If you didn't see a topic, there is one here: http://www.eoshd.com/comments/topic/25777-sony-rx0-1-inch-action-camera/ )

Wouldn't go with the Lexar either (especially with the out of business and resulting overtake and everything). Check here if you want to get an idea of what you're up against: -

Hadn't thought of that, good point! -
Btw, have you guys seen this? https://www.mi.com/camera-small/ 4K - f/2.8 - 6-axis EIS - 1450mAh... 699 CNY (retailers serving international markets I've seen from 121,99 USD). Like... don't expect miracles concerning image quality (Sony 1/2.3" IMX317 & Ambarella A12S75 tho) at that pricetag. But, atleast atleast it sounds sorta interesting.

Yeah, modders loved the heck out of the 11-16mm f/2.8. Same for the Sigma 18-35mm f/1.8 and the Bourne duo: Nikon 28-70 & 80-200mm f/2.8 ED. E.g. http://www.pchood.com/PL CINE LENS?product_id=281 Of course, with Tokina doing the modding themselves these days ( http://www.tokinacinema.com/11-16mmT3.html ), you might just want to keep things in-factory and not third party (they do seem to claim better optical characteristics from the stills line-up lenses? Although, I've heard mentions of the breathing still being horrible, so, who really knows). The MFT version I believe occasionally drops down to 699 or something! On the Tokina page, they even show one on an URSA btw, so alteast as suspected, no reason to assume they wouldn't be compatible. Yeah, the Sony CineAlta primes, now those are interesting if you're shooting S35 and need a solid set of lenses. Dang.
-
Hum. Never heard of such Sony lens. Is it like the Tokina 28-70mm f/2.6-2.8 getting design rights on the Angenieux one? That Sony made a deal with Tokina for their 11-16mm T3? Anyways, according the official Sony listing it covers their CineAlta S35 PL cameras. Don't really see why you wouldn't be able to use it on another manufacturer's S35 PL cam...

Hopefully it's a price revolution for such pro tripods too (as in: more affordable). Actually found out a few months ago that the Vitec group is behind a lot of brands in this industry: https://www.vitecgroup.com/about-us/our-brands/ amongst which are Sachtler & Vinten. Manfrotto, Gitzo & OConnor are there too. Found out when I saw the Xume adapters were sold under Manfrotto brand and wanted to know more about that. Remind me to not play Monopoly with them at a party. I applaud these kind of collabs. Reminds me of an earlier one between Tiffen, Steadicam and Yuneec. https://tiffen.com/steadicamvolt/ - https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/tiffencompany/steadicam-volt-smartphone-stabilizer-shake-free-vi
