Haha, looks just as cold as Europe. xD And those exotic Brazilians reminded me of a colleague and a friend, both of which German speaking. But I guess pretty far off then! Ah, I see. Speaking of seeing... can't wait to see what they're coming out with next! 25mm? 35mm? Good to see China's rising in this industry with the likes of Sirui, SLR Magic, Laowa, DZOFILM, ZY Optics, etc.

What's the real shock here is that you aren't using a Panasonic that has an anamorphic mode... in-camera de-squeeze etc. ? I was at IBC2019 and was able to have a looksie look at it and play with it, looked very promising indeed! Believe I was with the first 20 backers on the campaign (no social influencer freebies here). xD In the comments they mentioned the slanted flares were prototype issues and the retail version will be shipped out with perfectly horizontal flares. So fingers crossed regarding that. P.s. where was that shot? Europe? Those two you were with... German?

Thought it was gonna be that kinda thing. But this is pretty sweet as well. Believe I've the hardware controller as depicted in mentioned tweet on some Chinese webshop, so that was just for tinkering around, proof of concept I suppose. This actual one seems custom built to purpose. 3D printed by the looks? Final product as well or will you be tooling molds (I suppose not)? Tried and tested with both Metabones and Viltrox e-EF adapters/boosters? Was just wondering... what's the difference here exactly? One is discounted from 84 one from 77? Actually sold my BMPCC4K a few months back (in favor of Panasonic simplicity), but I can see some future demand for another one and of course would be nice just backing your efforts keeping what you're doing for the community alive, making these ideas into reality. Make sure to drum up some attention! It would be nice to have this seen on a rumor site other than another Amazon or Topaz affiliate link dump post.

Interesting to note that 1.26x close focus squeeze.

Image circle is APS-C. Only available in three mounts, that have APS-C sensor camera bodies to go with that. So indeed, Fujifilm X-mount, Sony E-mount (but one would figure you could use it on the A7/A9 series in S35 mode) and of course MFT (that JVC GY-LS300 of course with the APS-C sensor). So far I know there's only MFT (lens) to E-mount (body) adapters out there. Lenses these days are from the ground up intended for mirrorless, so I think it's quite tough to go from one to the other without having some more flange distance variety. That means you need quite the hardware modification to make it work, unless some interchangeable lens mount was forseen in advance (which seems not the case). Would be nice to have universal lenses with quick swap mounts, but that would probably mean they're bigger than they'd have to be and the swappable mount would raise some questions regarding sturdiness and performance tolerances.

SanDisk Extreme Pro have been my choice since the GH2 days (the only ones reliable enough to span; also recommended use for BMPCC by Blackmagic Design). Had some theories before V60/V90 was mainstream... Kinda seems to hold up for the most part though. Weirdly... SanDisk never actually officially rated their R300/W260 cards with a V-classification and in the back of my mind that does somewhat bothers me. So... currently I'm using Toshiba Exceria Pro N502 cards, which are R270/W260 V90 and I consider good value (highest speed card (W200+) at lowest price per GB) and quality. Next to come close is the ADATA Premier ONE R290/W260, but read they're a little iffy. Lexar have been taken over, so kind of questionable... also I generally don't like manufacturers selling cards with like '2000x' ratings for some reason, lol. The R300/W260 ain't officially V-rated either, so: 'no' from me. What else... Delkin... Integral... Goodram, yeah, not so sure about those. In the top league there then is Angelbird AV PRO and Sony SF-G Tough series (and Panasonic Gold), but they're on the pricey end... So... Toshiba Exceria for me. Also because they stress it to be 8K compatible. Didn't really see anybody else claiming that. Apparently they've just rebranded to Kioxia 2 months ago ('Kioxia is a combination of the Japanese word kioku meaning “memory” and the Greek word axia meaning “value”'). Their market does not seem to include the US. But back to your situation... the SanDisk Extreme R150/W70 256GB (though V30 rated) is actually a downgrade from your R95/W90 card (as writespeed is always the determining factor here). Though it should work, atleast look to go up from there to say the SanDisk Extreme PRO R170/W90 256GB if you can still find some somewhere.

Interesting indeed. Something nicely nuanced about the Sony shots. The way it handles color, highlights and shadows... it's like shooting a lens with Black Pro-Mist filter and without, but here it's the sensor/camera itself making all the difference. The BMPCC4K might be more technically correct... but so is a smartphone these days. What you want is not hyperrealism. If you sell me a dream, I need the image to speak to the imagination and take me to a different world... the F3 manages to do that with its X-factor. The BMPCC4K less. Actually got rid of mine. Sticking to the original two BMPCCs I have which I feel do a better job at giving me that filmic/cinematic vibe. Still... the BMPCC4K is one incredible piece of kit in the right hands with the right approach.

In the past I've been aware of http://www.shipito.com, http://www.borderlinx.com and http://www.logoix.com. But that doesn't magically mean you avoid customs... just that you can get items shipped to you that are not accessible to you locally where you are geographically. And the deals aren't usually that good, that you'd risk import duties. Some AliExpress stores used some VAT Free trick sending items to the UK and then re-labelling em there and shipping it out within the EU sorta say (and overseas stores such as http://www.onestop-digital.com even have a VAT Free Guarantee policy). Once actually had a deal from Adorama I believe that even with custom charges would've been cheaper than here, but got re-labelled in Germany and arrived without surcharge. But... that's more luck than wisdom, as us Dutchies would say.

Ooh. Scored a GX9 during cyber monday at UK Digital (sorry, not really any good to y'all now I realize xD). 599 GBP as 12-60mm (Lumix) kit. Threw in a free 25mm f/1.7 and 32GB SanDisk card. Lenses alone (retail at same store 359+149=508 GBP) bring down the body price to the point I'm willing to replace my GX80 with it. GX9 might have a worse crop, I know, but it also has the newer gen 20.3MP sensor as well as articulated EVF for example. Nice little body for the occassions the G9/GH5 feels like overkill. Just a little fun pocket rocket streetshooter. I'm glad I've been able to do some business with UK Digital and CVP over these years at the opposite side of the North Sea, which at times was a heck more lucrative than mainland EU. Also props to Panasonic opening their UK promotions (usually more interesting than the DE/German ones) to EEA citizens. Always worth to keep you eyes peeled. Anyone knows what happens once Brexit really is in effect... will it still be a free trading zone?

lol, brings me back childhood memories of seeing these 'Phase 4 Orthodics' TellSell commercials on tellie. xD Guess barefoot_dp's nickname makes more sense now too. ? Been meaning to try NB shoes at some point, but didn't ever see a shoe that 'was me' sorta say. They need to up their style game. Also been hearing good things about the Hoka One One Rincon, seem a similar kinda deal.

Y'all have to size up your Boosts as well? Bought like 4 pairs in the last few months (2 of which are winterized) and I'm up at 47 1/3 for the Ultraboost and 46 2/3 on Sense- & Pulseboost in meanwhile. Da frick?! Used to be 44/45 for most of my 20's (and 45's still good with some brands), but either my feet keep growing or Adidas has a weird new size structure or tighter fits with the new 3D knit mesh. I like my shoes slightly loosy goosy. But indeed! Adidas make some great looking comfy as fudge shoes, that's for sure. Also... I use activated carbon infused bamboo inlays to keep 'em fresh. P.s. I thought this topic was about craft services with 'food' misspelled ?

Seems it's Osmo Pocket knock-off season... with the: FUNSNAP Capture Pocket https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/chrisforever/capture-pocket-handheld-4k-camera-with-stabilizers/ Snoppa Vmate https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/vmate-palm-sized-gimbal-camera-with-all-your-needs/x/9727099#/ and now well-respected China giant Xiaomi(or MI for short)'s daughter company FIMI's coming out with one as well, called the 'Palm': https://www.gearbest.com/promotion-FIMI-PALM-Gimbal-Camera-special-2794.html They're probably not even close to the real deal in terms of quality (and usability/support), but the advantage they have is they already know the critique people gave the original and addressed some of that by like not requiring a station for wireless connectivity... offering a wider field of view, having a screwthread on the body etc. And of course... they're cheaper (the original with $90 off on the DJI website ($309), in Europe €50 off (€309), ships with a free 'selfie stick' worth €75 when buying before the weekend) (sidenote regarding the original and Europe... very hard to obtain that raved about Freewell wide angle lens, no Amazon (.co.uk/.de) stock, but AliExpress worked a charm) (more accessories on AliExpress here and here). Anyways, will be interesting to see how they'll all compare.

Then you're good to go for Tribeca film festival?! -

And then to think that around 10 years ago you didn't have pocketdrones, but hired someone with a cinerigged model helicopter: And then it got really serious with setups like this:

Also... what has become really popular is something known as 'cinewhoop'. A little FPV drone with ducted fans with either Runcam or GoPro attached. Daily Dose of Internet often uses such clips found on Instagram in his videos: Increasingly starting to be used for commercial projects... random (not really aerial) examples: Other implementations: Music vid:
