This looks familliar to you, Mattias? As per your suggestion I checked out the prices and saw that Rajala was nice 'n reachable from the Central Station. Unfortunately they only had stock in the central warehouse, not actually locally, but they were kind enough to give me brief general directions to FotoKungen (underground green line southerly direction, about 2 mins ride, then ask someone for further). I roughly had an idea where it would be from looking at Google Maps the day before, just I was offline in the city of course, so I had to go by memory, luckily some GPS indication on a general map as well. Had about 19 mins before closing time to get from one shop to the other. I failed to access any wireless internet with about 4 minutes to go, I had no idea where to find them and then it caught my eye! FotoKungen, right there! And they had one! So yeah. Now finally I get to enjoy the feeling of having those sweet Swedish deals! Picked up the G7 for those 3990 SEK. Thanks for the heads up! After Andy's praising words I was really intrigued, but after the double cashback I wasn't very keen on getting one for those hardcore prices they sell 'em for in Central Europe.

Sky's a little pink and the yellows a little neon. Matter of taste I guess. Otherwise, looking quite good I'd say.
-
I don't think that combo is going to bore any day soon, is it?

Looks the bizz. Just misses a coldshoe for a mic and a side grip (I imagine it's a little awkward shooting like that all the time?).

So, 5370 and 4600 USD respectively. Body only. Local prices (add a considerable amount for international purchases (+30%?)). -- 1075 for the back unit. 6450 for the 6K basic package deal and the 5K at 5680 USD. 8450 and 7680 USD for the full thing As KineMAX 6K, so S35 sensor. Kinemount, which is similar to the EF mount but with shorter flange distance able of adapting all sorts of standards with an adapter? -- Well, 5 years of Kinefinity. They sure brought it with this one. But those prices are a little too hefty for me to consider a purchase. I'll just pick up a G7 while I'm in Sweden tomorrow then, (un)fortunately they still have stuff that's more my kind of level.

Size 'n connectivity looks rather nice, though. Nice job. I myself find that kind of modularity nicer than a URSA Mini for example. Sweet for gimbal rigs as well.

Well, I appreciate you bringing the new product launch to our attention. I wasn't aware. Atleast the name is officially out. TERRA. Hope it won't be as shortlived as Spielberg's series Terra Nova that got hyped and dropped. -- 5 and 6K. Well, so much for a fun little camera on a budget. xD -- 15 stops, mmmkay... dual gain... like Varicam? Ok, now we're talking again -- dang, sick HFR, 5K at 60p, 4K at 100, 3K at 150 and 2K at 200p

I understand S35, 10bits, 60FPS and 4K RAW. And 'Ronin M'.
-
Those the specs already? If so, yes please! I'll have 2. Now let's talk size and prices...

Basically an ARRI Mini killer then. Dang btw, that one has gotten interesting. Too bad it's not really an accessible system for normal human beings. Which means... there's still market segment left for the taking. Hint - hint. I think something max Sony A7-range (but preferably GH4/NX1/BMMCC) priced as an entry level might get more people trying out Kinefinity products and upgrade within their system line-up as they grow.
-
It would be interesting if they'd bring a BMPCC/BMMCC killer... but I take it, it will be more serious than that. My Chinese is a little rusty, so Imma gonna keep an eye on https://twitter.com/movcam , http://www.newsshooter.com/category/news/ 'n stuff I guess.

Yeah, it's a team effort. You've got to be a crouching tiger, you can't just bounce up 'n down like that and expect tech to compensate for your lack of understanding, skill and finesse. That said. I do believe here the puzzle pieces fall together quite nicely with this one to the point I'd finally be comfortable getting one. I bet you'd be getting nice motion after a single week, opposed to months or more with a traditional mechanical stabilizer. That is... if you're willing to work with the gimbal stabilizer opposed to the mindset where you'd expect it to do the job for you.

Yup. And more... hai!

Dang indeed. Who needs 3D glasses when it pops like that! Sick depth layering. Details, color, it's all there, isn't it (well, maybe some typical M43 noise in the dark mids)? Pretty impressive. From the comments: downloadble via Vimeo and there's a YT behind the scenes.

but best of luck

Well, these people just want something that works and doesn't require a lot of messing around. The only edit pass they do is perhaps pumping up the contrast and then just cut it. And for that... with stuff like the vari-angle touchscreen, audio interface and Dual Pixel AF, how can you deny that that's exactly what YouTubers that do vloggy type of video should get? It might indeed be the best for video... with the addition of 'for your average Joe and Jane'. If you want to do corporate videos and actual filmmaking however... that's just not going to cut it. Unless you go C-line cameras/5DmkIII ML RAW perhaps. But then there might be more value there with Sony, Panasonic, Blackmagic etc. And if you take your time to actually CC/grade your footage, it doesn't matter all that much which brand is marked on the camera body. If you want the creative freedom to mess around with it, then 4K and LOG, RAW or ProRes footage are a pretty big deal. Not to mention other stuff, like high frame rates.

For batteries I'd get these: http://www.pts-trading.de/patona-premium-battery-f-sony-np-fw50-nex-3-nex3c-nex-5-nex5a-nex-7-p-4945.html .

Sony A6300 review (rolling) - Striking image but nagging issues
Cinegain replied to Andrew Reid's topic in Cameras
Well, first of all, you don't post it in a topic where there's discussion going on about the A6300. Would be more approps here or so: 2ndly, I'd be skeptical of the fact it was won... if you're able to pick it up in person do so if you find it a good deal (not our call to make). If there's enough checkable facts provided and a safe method of payment, you could do it at own risk. Just... I see the cam + lens going for 1750 EUR new though... and probably can be had body only and lens only for round the same price from different places across Europe. -
Jup. And they don't mind the quality, which is fine for YouTube and whatevs. There are some big channels and they've all started out filming with T2i's and 7D's. Vloggers went from their Cisco Flip cams to using IXUS and Powershots. Everytime someone switches brands, to like Sony, you see users commenting: 'please go back to the old camera!'. They're also embracing 60p like no other for native playback. It's a different scene. But different can be interesting.

It's a decent camera which actually isn't even that bad. Top LCD, vari-angle touchscreen, you get audio jacks and they aren't in the way of the screen. Dual Pixel AF. Decent button layout/scrollwheels. But yeah, that's about all it really has going for it. What you can pull from the sensor stills wise or video, isn't really day and night of anything you were already getting with Canon, which was already kind of getting behind the curve quite a bit (atleast they have that Canon color). On the other hand we have Sony tinkering away pulling the craziest stuff out of the sensor, but it's kind of a tech bubble burst situation, where the bigger the bubble the more likely it breaks at some point. I think neither is the right approach. Someone gotta find some decent middle ground here. There should be more stuff like the GH4 and NX1. Don't keep the bodies too small. Give it decent 2016 features, but not to a point it will start to collaps on itself. Dunno, maybe Olympus with the E-M2 can suprise like the Fujifilm X-Pro2. Perhaps the GH5... or maybe they will introduce a micro Varicam... Panasonic DMC-VC1, perhaps alongst side the GH5, but then on super steroids, but not such as to compete with the actual Varicams.

Yeah, I'd put a small monitor on a gimbal rig, but a 7" or 10" one... not really. Atomos just brought out a new line with high-end screens, yet 7" as well. And just generally I'd like to see prices drop below the 1000 bucks. The Video Assist which would do 4K for half the price more. 749. Deal! Eh... you had me digging...
-
Yeah, I hope there's some focus for smaller field monitors/recorders like 4.3-5" from the likes of Aputure, Atomos, Video Devices, maybe a Video Assist with 4K or atleast 4K HDMI downconvert. Maybe Convergent Design could surprise. Lighting kits are always cool. Again: Aputure could have more stuff like the LightStorm series. More affordable flexible LED panels. Audiowise more stuff like the Audio Devices PIX-LR. I'm expecting actually quite a bit when it comes to motion control. It's gonna be a lot of stuff like that. On the camera front, to be honest... I'm not expecting a great deal? Whatever happened to these guys that wanted to introduce a cinema camera this year. Something under 1000 bucks they were claiming if I remember correctly?

Sure... this is probably your best bet as ideal companion: ~ https://www.blackmagicdesign.com/products/blackmagicvideoassist -- Or did you mean like GoPro LCD BacPac, in which case I'm afraid not.
