  1. Story mostly. And of course I was like 'needs more animatronics!' too.
  2. 2016... and then having a 1998 looking site. Doesn't really exude confidence/professionalism. But then you see it actually has taken form... and there's specs, pics and video... though, given the specs, it's going to be a pricey one (3000~5000+ USD?). The Craft Camera announcement 'Starting under $1,000', as posted by someone around here earlier, will probably be a little bit more my kinda thing. But then is quite the opposite of the Aurora Camera... no specs, pics and video. Maybe they should friggin' join forces already. - Hum, see KineMINI 4K Basic doing 5199 EUR. Something like that then, probably. What's going on with Kinefinity these days anyway? Created some whirl a while back, but haven't heard people talking about them for quite some time, now.
  3. It starter off okay, had some nice references to the earlier movies throughout, but somewhere along the way it got as ridiculous as Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. I mean, you get all excited at first with the typical soundtracks playing and for a second get that oldschool nostalgic feel and... then it's gone just like that. Anyways, it turned out to be a somewhat adecent brainless watch... but I don't have the need to ever watch it again. Same for recent Bond movies.
  4. Is that dummy adapter made from gold and laid-in with diamonds, or what? Those are insane prices. There's not even glass or electronics involved, right? How is that worth 10 times more than other adapters? Even custom made chunk of metal ciecio7 adapters are cheaper than that... Geez.
  5. Well, for sure the ones with 'lock - open' do. The others with the silver rings, I'm guessing they are aperture rings too (Roxsen says 'with aperture control ring'). These type of adapters wont:
  6. From another topic: I guess the Fotasy is similar to Pixco, Roxsen, Fotga, etc. eBay and such. e.g. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Pixco-Nikon-G-Lens-to-Samsung-NX-Adapter-GN100-NX1100-NX300M-NX2000-NX300-NX210-/281155632292 , http://www.ebay.com/itm/Roxsen-Nikon-F-mount-G-DX-AF-S-lens-to-Samsung-NX-camera-adapter-NX300-NX11-NX20-/400676312568 & http://www.ebay.com/itm/Nikon-AI-F-mount-G-DX-AF-S-lens-to-Samsung-NX-NX1000-NX300-NX11-NX20-camera-adap-/252179657707 , http://www.ebay.com/itm/Adapter-fur-Nikon-G-Objektive-an-Samsung-NX-Kameras-/262119442477 . Perhaps AliExpress, they've got a bunch of that kinda stuff too... http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Pixco-Lens-Mount-Adapter-Suit-For-Nikon-F-Mount-G-Lens-to-Samsung-NX-Camera-NX3000/32241280796.html , http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Mount-Adapter-Ring-Suit-For-Nikon-G-Lens-to-Samsung-NX-Camera-NX1-NX30-NX500-NX300M/32359536057.html , http://www.aliexpress.com/item/New-Lens-Adapter-ring-G-NX-Lens-to-NX-Camera-Body-zebra-Metal-adapter-ring/32286221327.html , http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Nikon-AI-F-mount-G-DX-AF-S-lens-to-Samsung-NX-NX1000-NX300-NX11-NX20/32324579980.html .
  7. Nice! Twice the fun. I was in London around newyears, partly just to see The Hobbit at the ODEON BFI IMAX theatre. Now, the movie wasn't that great, but the experience was!
  8. I will watch it. I actually scheduled an off day just because of it. But not necessarily because I'm such a Star Wars fanboy. Just because the largest cinema screen (260m²) here in Austria with NEC digital 4K projection, imm sound/Dolby 23.1 (69 360° surround speakers, 5 vertically projecting ceiling speakers, creating a 3D sound) and super comfy VIP chairs is usually reserved only for movies with the audio post-synchronized in German language. Yugh. I don't get that. I've watched the last Indiana Jones that way and it made it twice as bad as it already was. Just do subtitles and then you might even pick up a thing or two in English, people (like they do in The Netherlands, you know). Anyways. This is the first time I've seen them offering a movie as Original Version with that UCI Kino iSens-format. So, I'm kinda most excitied for the cinema experience itself. But I did love the earlier Star Wars movies. I guess nobody really liked the later ones all that much. But I think it will be hard to top an old classic like that, they'll need to bring it. If the light saber is any indicator this movie is doomed to be kinda ridiculous. But..! I'm going in with an open mind... and hopefully we see some of that old glory. Either way, I'll at least be an experience richer. Then don't hide it! Are you about to lose control and do you think you'll like it?

    z camera e1

It's a small unit, so they're limited in what can be pulled out of it, processed and written away (and already runs quite hot, mind you). The display is absolutely appalling and the firmware nowhere there yet. Give it time and maybe it ul get there though... Indeed, for something like aerial stuff, also just like paragliding or whatever, it's an interesting choice that does sets itself apart from the GoPro-stuff.
  10. Interesting to note... Still the 2nd most expensive native mount lens for the M43 system... http://geizhals.eu/?cat=acamobjo_oly&asuch=&bpmax=&v=e&hloc=at&hloc=de&hloc=pl&hloc=uk&hloc=eu&plz=&dist=&mail=&bl1_id=30&xf=2305_Micro-Four-Thirds&sort=-p And they've new ones coming up: http://www.mirrorlessrumors.com/handevision-announces-five-new-lenses-24355075-and-90mm-f2-4/ .
  11. Interesting. I know they do a 0.7x PL too ( http://world.tmall.com/item/521200581514.htm ). Two months back ( http://www.43rumors.com/kipon-announces-the-baveyes-ef-and-m42-speed-booster-adapters/ ) I saw they even had a M42 to M43 0.7x ( http://world.tmall.com/item/521181289088.htm | http://global.rakuten.com/en/store/auc-stkb/item/baveyes-m42-m43/ ), which spiked my interest. Not sure if their line-up of focal reducers is any reputable, though, or how they compare with the others. They're up in price from the 'Lens Turbo' ones.
  12. Still not sure why between 1080p and 4K there's a void on these puppies. Why won't they be like GoPro... they offer you 1440p and 2.7K. Blackmagic figured 2.5K would help. Subtle pans, zooms, re-framing, stabilizing. Just a little wiggle room. No need to get 200% overscale with 4x the real estate 1080p has. Plus, you can get still record in high resolution, but at higher framerates/better bitdata than 4K, if you're going to put it into a 1080p project anyways. That's what I'd love to see. I agree, 4K might be a little overkill and good 1080p still is more than fine, but a little something something extra to work with would be nice...
  13. I totally adore the new 65" 4K screens. Just comes down to setting them up right, 'cause indeed, ouchihuahua, does it look terrible out of the box. Unnatural colors, motion, sharpness, just wrong. Especially with Samsungs. I really like Panasonic. Sony and Philips do pretty well too. Kind of hate/loving LG.
  14. Yeah, saw it over at SARumors. To me it's a rubbish test though. Let's take video of a 2D plane with no depth and motion... yeah...
  15. Isn't that the one Dave Dugdale tried and found a little too clunky as well? I remember him ultimately going with the Pilotfly H1. Unfortunately the folks at FilmPower don't really know how to market their Nebula 4200 PRO. It looked rather interesting... but I have serious question marks with how they run things. The 4000 seemed far from ideal as well, although admittedly was the one to really get this snowball rolling. Have you guys seen the Feiyu MX? Now that might be pretty sweet. Though... with that one, the load factor really seems an issue. Guess you can't have everything. Guess if I had to go for something now it would probably be the http://www.sturdyshots.com/sturdy2014/sturdyflight-2/ . I like the way it's set up and JazzBox seems to really like it.
  16. Any easy ways to get 4K downsampling from HDMI, as the VA only accepts 4K over SDI and HMDI 1080p signals if I'm correct?
  17. Well, judging the first paragraph already... ... this is going to be stripped of all non-essentials and be super basic. That's nice to learn about exposure and such, but that also means it probably won't have any elaborate features, so you'd probably be more interested by Blackmagic offerings if you're not out to be learning the basics (with scratch projects), but shooting (for commercial work).

Tough. Seems the eBay vendors pulled the plug on that one. Perhaps they can still get you one, try by sending 'em a message through eBay. You can find some discontinued listings through Google. Another thing you can try is Taobao: http://world.taobao.com/item/521598900440.htm . You'll need an agent to get hold of one on there, I'd recommend something like http://mistertao.com . Could try 'n see what these guys have to say for themselves: http://goldenvision.en.alibaba.com/product/609614812-214032112/New_Rollei_QBM_Lens_to_NX_NX100_NX10_NX5_Adapter.html , but I think they pulled the plug as well, given they're these guys: http://www.aliexpress.com/store/product/New-Rollei-QBM-Lens-to-NX-NX100-NX10-NX5-Adapter-conversion-ring-adapter/413706_618389056.html?storeId=413706 . Double adapters sounds like a good idea... but I'd really try to avoid it. You might run into dodgy focus issues.
  19. Great! As seen on: Might want to consider the dual mini for easier application: http://www.ratrig.com/v-slider-dual-mini.html .
  20. http://www.ratrig.com perhaps? Or of course http://kamerar.com/products/s-23-video-camera-23-slider-mark-ii / http://konovaphoto.com/konova-slider-k2-series.html ...
  21. Yup. It renders that way due to the shape the aperture blades make. I also like the Russians. The Zenit Industar 61 line-up renders pretty spec(ta)cular highlights... e.g.
  22. Thought the colors were a little muted and off. Especially indoors with for example the red candles was wishing they'd 'pop' a little bit more, food didn't really look particularly appetizing. But a lot can be attributed to individual taste of course (no pun intended). The digital snow also didn't really work for me. You use the same snow animation layer for a close up, when the size of the snowflakes would be increased and they'd have increased separation. The guy looked like a typical camp singer. With bronzed face and everything. Brilliant. I bet his home is full of chandeliers and also that he has a white little Shih Tzu. The girl in green was a nice addition, she helped a lot with that smile radiating fun! Fun piece. The shoot itself looks well executed and the RX10M2 does seem quite fun and capable. Well done! Slowmo with it must've been fun!
  23. Metabones stated they can do nothing for the NX-mount. Therefor E-mount wins. Nikon should do something more or less exactly like Sony's E-mount. It will fit legacy too, it will fit APS-C, it will fit their new mirrorless line-up, because that's to me a big win, keeping lens sizes down as they influence compactness more than the body. Forget about NX already!
  24. Nah. Adapting to NX is still a pain. They just need to copy what Sony did. The E-mount covers both APS-C and full frame, is wildly adaptable to just about anything you'd like to throw at it. Even Sony's own A-mount lenses through the Sony A- to E-mount adapter with translucent mirror tech and built-in AF motor. Or throw on a third party lens with electronic connectivity. Even use focal reducers! Forget that with a NX-mount. I really don't see any future there. 'But they can use the lens line-up'. Yeah well, they can also get you Nikon lenses... Listen. Sony had to start E-mount somewhere too. And like 43 to M43 and A to E-mount with a manufacturer's adapter, you can take your already excisting eco system and give it a new market as well. They only need to copy what Sony did and do it for with Nikon adapting priorities. So a solid adapter for Nikon glass as well. Not a native existing Nikon DSLR-mount, that'd be silly to put on something mirrorless. And the NX-mount isn't going to work either.
