  1. I would avoid using any over 500g, or max 600g anamorphic lens, whatever how good it is.
  2. Sample pictures of ISCO integrated anamorphic lens with EF100 F2 lens. download address, f3.2 & f5.6: http://pan.baidu.com/s/1kTvEv0z http://pan.baidu.com/s/1ntLYGWD
  3. I think because 16H can go wider, if use the same prime lens, it shows less distortion. So to reduce distortion, just don't use up to anamorphic lens's edge, leave some space. For 16H, is still wide enough. So I always think wide angle is most important factor to choose a project lens. That is 16h's advantage.
  4. IMO, shorter is better. So Kowa 16H (or compatible) is the best choice if affordable. If want cheap one, 1st ISCO integrated lens, 2nd Schneider's.
  5. Because Schneider's glasses are used for 35mm projectors, and size is bigger than Kowa & Singer, which are used for 16mm projectors. If you compare it with ISCO High Definition Attachment (left one in my pictures), Schneider might not be the winner.
  6. In terms of sharpness, maybe resolution is a better word, ISCO and Schneider lenses made within 10-20 years recently, IMO they have the same level, even Kowa and Sankor, just size matters.
  7. This one and previous first one are basically the same optics, minimum 3m/10ft. But these lenses are not convenient to focus if directly use, unless use that new focus module. I mods like this.
  8. I have a 1.5x extra, if interested, pm please.
  9. I think since this new version launched, the gallary got problems, cannot upload images, always said server errors.
  10. Imo, first need to consider the taking lens front diameter. 16h is 50mm. So taking lens filter thread is better not bigger too much. 55 & 58mm are the best. 62mm is still usable. More than 72mm might have difficulty. So usually is not easy to use large aperture lens. Small aperture lens may get wider angle view. Especially, if using zoom lens, you will loose some wide angle.
  11. Through some very basic tested on other 1.33x lens, I was unable to reduce CA, but could make edge looked sharper.
  12. I think usually CA caused by too wide angle lens taken and fix focus. If anamorphic lens is focusable, everything is OK.
  13. If not push/pull way, looks there is two rings, front one rotating to lock/unlock.
  14. I don't know how is yours rule. To me, only interested in the length is less than diameter one. :) That means possible wider than 16H, maybe only 2x lens is "length<diameter".
  15. But here said > (ELMOSCOPE-II) much smaller run than kowa bell howell better quality control. it is an 8z that would go through additional tests by elmo. elmo made the best ever cine projector so they made sure all the optics where the best they could be.
  16. Just find step up/down rings. This lens rear mount is 34mm. Smaller front glasses would work. I think FL needs 70mm(35mm equ) or more.
  17. Looks there is a weird distortion while focusing changed. Does the ISCORAMA do the same way?
  18. Sorry, never used that. Looks there is no standard filter thread. You might need to DIY a little bit. But I use 82mm cap can fit, so filter size needs to be bigger than that. enny's reference is good point.
  19. IMO, basically 16D & 16H have no difference of optics in terms of quality or sharpness, because they are made by KOWA. But in projector lenses world, widest is king, has more value. So 16H > ISCO integrated > 16A-B-C-D-F-S....
  20. The good is its HD resolution. Weight is 1.2kg. Closest focus marks as 17ft/5m. I think this lens might be used for 70mm film projector, it could be used up to medium format cameras, too big for M43. For FF uses, it needs 100mm or above taking lens. IMO, in 90% case use, ISCO integrated lens is better than it, wider, lighter, the resolution also matches taking lens. BTW, this is my first anamorphic lens, got it @ $120, local pickup. I will still keep it forever.
  21. IMO, Sankor 16f is only suitable for M43 camera(rear mount size 43mm, no thread, front 52mm thread is not standard, 0.5mm?) , taking lens above @ FL 135mm(35mm equ). Eiki 16F has a little advantage, which the 52mm thread is standard(0.75mm?), fits common filters. 16F price is over $300. I would like to use $100-150 ISCO integrated lens, which is wider, perfect @100mm, or even @85mm, 35mm equ FL. 16F's only advantage is the non-rotation filter thread. ISCO lens can be modified too.
  22. WOW, worthy? http://www.ebay.com/itm/111486050738
