Cannot compare with High Difinition attachment, which has big front glasses, fits 82mm cap, 1.2kg weight. For video, like 16f, front 52mm is enough for sure. But I am not a video guy, may only one here, so pictures can tell.

Looks like similar to 16D, not wide for sure. I have ELMO 20mm F1.4, which came with Elmoscop-II that equals to 16H.

That is integrated lens. Attachment is big one, but due to big glasses, so has even higher resolution.

Which Ultrastar you mean? integrated lens or attachment?

What lenses are used? LA7200 and mods? -
suppose you are not using anamorphic lens? right?

IMO, wide angle lens contains a +? diopter as rear lens, so many of them can be screwed out and used as + diopter lens for close focus. So to reduce using lens, try to get rid of some and keep minimum lens, the powerful one. Then the pictures quality is the best. I know, wide angle works well, but taking lens should use longer focus to get higher resolution, less crop and keep the same widescreen view, which depends on anamorphic lens with wide angle attachment.

IMO, if use with anamorphic lens, the smaller front diameter the better. So never think of large aperture lens.
-
Sure, the system is dual focus.

Good info. Many thanks.

Pull out front ring to unlock.

Try pull out to unlock for integrated lens. But if HD attachment, push in to unlock.

Hi all, I need a negative diopter(may be -0.5~2) for my anamorphic lens. I have tested my glasses are almost suitable to use. Beside glasses shop, which I am not sure the quality, does any other such diopter lens made and sell? BTW, I found the negative diopter is perfect for micro anamorphic lens, which is shorter then normal. Adding a negative diopter at front, make it possible to adjust to infinity, and get wider angle. Just opposite to use as + diopter.

Rear mount 34mm thread, front 30mm thread, no rotation. IMHO, pros: center sharpness, focusing distance, all metal with both caps, very potable for travel and fun. 1.5x exactly, no reduce necessary. cons: edge CA, small lenses(especially front glasses), so small image field that lacks of prime lens could be used, mounting way.

I bought one and tried. From near to far distance all the focuses are excellent, beyond my expectation.
-
Why need to step up to 62mm? I always step down for using 16H, which has 50mm thread. '>

I like my way of adapting, no bulky nuts, light and cheapest. If you are interested, check my gallery.

I have E 50 1.8 lens. IMO, not much difference. Basically, 1.5 and 2x anamo

Contax/Yashica Zeiss with Anamorphic (Kowa 16H/8Z)?

Long lens is much easy to find anamorphic lens from other 16? Lens. Don't waste 16h, which is the widest 2x anamorphic lens. -

I don't think so. At least better than ISCO integrated lens. 16H can be used with under 80mm still perfect, till to 70mm on FF. -
FYI, I made my 16H with a step ring for using 67mm filter lens. But I need to machine the ring a little bigger to fit lens front and glue the ring. You should check the ring size is correct for your lens.

IMO, the best (most reasonable price) big anamorphic lens is ISCO HD attachment, about 1.2 kg. FF camera needs 100mm prime lens or above. http://www.ebay.ca/itm/131188175841 Vintage lenses are not comparable in terms of optics.
