    Please pardon my ignorance. So with the Ninja, you can record 4K from the GH4? Will it have a higher quality than internal 4K?

    I have just burned 576 MB of my monthly data for just 28 seconds video. :D But the quality is amazing. Well worth it.

    I still don't quite understand how to record from the HDMI output. Do you just plug into an HDMI recorder and the GH4 will output the stream live to the HDMI? Or can you only record through playback from the camera?

    H6 is better from what I read.

    The Zooms are battery powered. If you use Eneloop Extreme (which I use on my Sony PCM-M10) and bring a few spares, you can last a whole day. So unless you need to shoot continuously without stopping for hours, you should be fine.

    If you go to gearslutz.com, you can find posts about the H6 lasting a few hours with phantom power on. Of course, how long it lasts depends on the microphone. Most mics that are built for DSLR use should sip power at a reasonable rate.

    If money is no issue, why not get both? You can always sell them later if you need something new.

    Do you have a smartphone with a decent camera? That might work too.

    Thanks for this. But for some reason, everything seems to have a tinge of purple. Does anyone else see the same?

    Maybe the A7s is a beta product or a proof of concept that can be sold. Sort of like the very first generation of Apple's MacBook Air.

    Mine works fine. I was capturing the HDMI output using my Blackmagic Design Intensity Shuttle Thunderbolt without issues.

    If you are into programming, Csound, Pure Data, and Super Collider are used by sound designers. You can morph your voice using a vocoder.

    Purely speculative in theory only. :) But it is pretty much a fact that it is an adapter that isn't passive. The question is, how many features are piled onto this thing. Can't wait.

    It's happened to me once so far. But I haven't owned the GH4 for that long. I shoot mostly 4k.

    Happened to me once. Had to take out battery. Turning the camera to off couldn't turn it off. Very annoying.
